I have very strange problem with my Artemis device
First of all i'm using 3.21.90 radio rom and Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM version from Shady (10x a lot to that rom)
Everything is working fine but my Cell Phone is connecting to the internet only with GPRS and not using EDGE technology.
Someone will say that is from the operator but if i move my SIM card to HD on the same location is connecting to EDGE .
BTW sometimes in very strange locations my phone is connecting to EDGE .
How can i force my device to use EDGE technology ?
Any help will be appreciated

I am currently using vodafone , in my desire and have activated gprs ... but not able to use it in any application but able to use it in browser ... have gone through google and came to conclusion that i need to activate vodafone mobile connect to use it in other application .....which cost hell lot off more
Could you guyz confirm it that can i use the normal airtel 2gb/month gprs plan to use it any othe application
if yes then i will change my connection....... plzzz help

currently Iam in India using a HTC Tilt2 (unlocked)
Using Airtel network
I cannot browse using explorer or opera browsers when I am over edge, I have followed the settings for gprs setup in the phone as per the company instructions but when I visited the store (airtel) said att phones doesn't work properly ,is there a way to make things work
Everything works fine over wifi

Hi,
I've got a problem of connectivity with my new operator (Free Mobile).
When I connect to its network, sometimes I'm rejected (SIM not authorized message), sometimes it works but I don't receive any data at all (call include).
Rarely I can download a few things for about 2 minutes.
With this operator I can also connect to a competitor network (Orange). On this network everything works well.
These 2 networks are 3G ones.
A friend suscribed to the same operator and have no problem with it. So we switched our SIMs to see if it was linked to my subscription or to my phone. He had no problem with my SIM while I encountered exactly the same problem with his.
Is that possible that some baseband drivers are not adapted to this new operator as they have bought a new frequency range (frequencies that were not available before in France) ?
If anybody here have a xperia arc (or arc s) have suscribed Free Mobile, I would be happy to have some feedback (is it working on Free Mobile network ? If so, what is the kernel / rom / baseband used ?)

I've now installed CM7 kernel + rom and patched baseband (64).
Problem still here...

So a few months ago i start have problem with sharing internet connection on my nexus but only on my Operator Telecom slovakia (T-mobile sk).
When i want to log on Aion Gameforge servers by sharing internet from my mobile phone still client give me message with limited connection. When i tested another operator in my mobile phone all works without problem.
Idk where is problem becaus when i put into No Android phone my sim card Connet on to Gameforge aion server is without problem. So its possible to telekom blocking ports etc on Android phones?

hello everyone, its been long since i am facing this issues (i have a workaround to tackle this issue but cant do it everytime)
as soon as i rooted tab 3 7.0 (SM T211) it started showing that there is no sim card to turn on the mobile network but calling worked pretty fine
i thought i might try different rom but not luck and on the top of that it now shows my vodafone carrier as hutch :/
can any one help me with this..?
the workaround i found is
i have to set my mobile data connection to only gsm then restart the tab if lucky it will show the vodafone in in the carrier space and then i have to change from just gsm to auto mode (gsm and wdcma)
but the problem with this is, if i restart...i have to do everything again and while in the middle of a call or surfing net on 3g, the connection drops and goes back to hutch :/
please help
