Go here and enter in the model you have. It should tell you whether or not you can stream music through your phone, to your bluetooth.

Hi Guys
Have downloaded Skype onto my new XDA IIi & while it goes through the motions of dialing & connecting, I can hear the person I'm calling but they can't hear me. Any ideas? I did a search for this topic but couldn't find a specific thread. Thanks !
For me it worked pretty straight away. Have you tried using the handsfree-kit with it?
I am trying to locate a solution by which one could talk on skype using a BT headset, now THAT would be useful.
Skyped!

Hello, where can i download skype for xda IIi
I'm looking for an app that I can put on both my thunderbolt and a100 tablet that will foreward my texts to my tablet (maybe through wifi or Bluetooth) and would be able to reply to them with my tablet, and when someone calls, I would see the caller I'd, but not necessarily be able to answer and calls on the tab. As I'm sure that technology is impossible to incorperate at present time.
ummmmm............ could you repeat that?

For the text I use textab between the tablet and my G2X. It works over bluetooth.
Sorry for Caller ID I have no idea.
Edit:
this one looks like it will cover your needs. Good reviews and an XDA developer. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1206798

GoogleVoice, my friend. Takes some setting up (and getting friends to switch over), but once you do, you'll never look back.
Google voice is cool but it only works with a WIFI connection. With my suggestions you can use your tablet with a bluetooth connection to your phone while away from a hot spot.

This is true, but my phone is my hot spot. I still have the unlimited data (and I hate that for alot of others since July) so I just use wifi tether from my rooted tbolt. Can't wait for my area to get 4g, haven't hard the pleasure of using it yet, seeing as I don't get out much
But I'm still loving this tablet though! Just wish alot more games were compatible with Android 3.2. Like Dead Space.

Hi all,
so my wife and I just got a new 2012 Nissan Maxima and it's the first car with bluetooth that we have ever had. Last night we were messing around with the bluetooth and both our phones were able to make calls and voice dialing worked perfectly. However, we weren't able to access our phonebooks, or get names of callers on incoming calls.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially if there is anyone here who has the same car. 2012 Nissan Maxima, with NO NAV, just the backup camera monitor package.
Thanks in advance all!
i would recommend either reading your manual or asking this question in a nissan forum oppose to asking a phone forum as your issue will be car related.... just a thought

My only thought when asking here was to figure out why the PHONE wouldn't transfer its data to the car.

So, I updated to 4.3 and now my focus is having problems with bluetooth. It used to work perfectly before the update but now the metadata of the song doesn't update on the radio and some other things like texts don't come through like they used to.
Simply put, is there a way to get the old bluetooth "stuff" into 4.3 or is that baked in?
I was just studying the BT issues and I found out all phones with 4.2 or greater has BT problems across the board.
Can you just copy-paste BT files? I don't know.
But its a common issue.

That's what I aim to find out... I'm tempted to just go back to a 4.1.2 ROM but meh...
No, I agree about staying with 4.3. I'm sure Google will release a fix or a clever xda member will get it.
Bump, still looking for info

Sounds like he isn't getting song info and text messages on his car's head unit when connected to the phone through BT on a 4.3 ROM.
Me, I just get choppy playback.

Pretty much. I used to be able to see what was playing. I used to be able to control pandora (pause/skip) but that no longer works either. I also do not get notifications like texts anymore.

Quoting you too so you get a notification,
Edit: quote from a verizon thread:
Just so everyone is aware, this is due to the whole Motorola/Google ownership change. In previous versions of Android, Motorola sourced their own protocols for their products, and included MAP in their bluetooth profiles. Since the Jelly Bean update, they've used Google's own Bluetooth protocols, in which MAP was omitted.
is this true? Surely not, how would it have worked on 4.1.2?
Edit again:
http://www.androidheadlines.com/201...ocus-feature-bluetooth-map-now-supported.html
Says kitkat supports MAP again............. may just get a kitkat rom even though I'd rather stick to stock TW.....
Well, I updated to 4.4 ........... still no go

Try installing Bluetooth Easy Connect app from the Play Store. Its the only solution that worked for me. Follow the instructions in the app description.

Yup thats the only thing that worked for me too https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.mybesttools.btkbservice.
Problem is that it needs root, and I'm not that keen on killing my warranty just yet... I know some people have had some luck with either sending it in or exchanging it, but that's a lot of hassle, no guarantee that you get a safe unit, and to be honest something else might be busted ( yellow screen, SD card issue etc) ( Really samsung, Really? Quality test dpt is having quality issues )
I bought a Samsung Bluetooth slate keyboard and it works 100%. I am Also on stock 4.4.2. Before, i was on rooted Roms. Had disconnects with every Bluetooth keyboard I tried(tried like 4-5)
