VZW tp2 no service android - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Android Development

I have wifi and it will let me make emergency calls. Whenever it is on the lock screen it tells me to put in a sim card.... However the FAQ tells me to take it out.
Edit: I figured it out.

What did you do to resolve this?

activate call waiting?

morning all (or not for those who are elsewhere in the world)
I have an O2 orbit with a T-mobile PAYG card and I'm unable to set up call waiting. Whenever I try it just tells me that the settings cannot be saved to the network.
I was wondering if anyone else has a similar set-up and has been able to activate this feature??
I would phone up T-mobile and see if it's possible but I wonder whether they might not help me as I have an O2 branded phone and not their own MDA III.
Well, go through us with your procedures on how you set up the call waiting?
Or, use another phone to set it up, then switch it back. It should be phone indenpendant.
never thought about trying another phone...will have to borrow one and try it.
basically, on the Orbit. if you go to
start
settings
phone
services
then select call waiting and hit get settings you get two options..notify me and don't notify me.
on my phone don't notify me is ticked. If I try to select notify me I get a message that says
Unable to save your changes to the network. Try changing settings later or disconnect data connection and try again.
I've tried it several times already and don't have any data connections active.
but I'll try and borrow another phone and see what happens
Hi,
to answer ur question, call waiting is not supported on any pay as you go (UK), not sure about the rest of the world

"Can't be completed as dialed" using Tmobile prepaid

Hey guys, I picked up a T-mobile galaxy S3 over black friday, and have been trying to use it with wifi calling for the past few days. Here is what is happening: I updated to 4.1.1 as soon as I opened the package. I setup the phone and then tried wifi calling. It worked the fiirst call, but later when I put dial in the number, within 1-2 seconds I get a "Your call cannot completed as dailed" message. I couldn't even dial 611 for customer care, but I could call my voicemail.... So after talking to customer service, I was told a new sim card would likely fix the problem, so I went to a T-mo store and got a new sim. They tested it once there, and it worked for the first call. I got home and it was doing the same thing as before, telling me my call couldn't be completed as dialed. On a whim, I put my wife's postpaid T-mobile sim card into the S3, and lo and behold, it worked, every time, flawlessly. I switched my prepaid sim back into the phone and it reverted back to not working again. I called up T-mo and talked to someone who finally referred my case to some engineers, but its been 3 days and I haven't heard back.
If I lived in a place with a good T-mobile signal, I wouldn't care, but I get less than 1 bar, and my data is edge, so I kind of need wifi calling. I've noticed when first booting up with my prepaid sim, I sometimes get the Reg99 cannot connect erorr, and the Err01 "Invalid certificate" error. But then the wifi calling later shows connected with a blue phone symbol saying it is ready to make calls.
I can sometimes receive calls over the wifi, but I can never make calls, only to my voicemail. I find it odd though that my wife's postpaid sim works just fine, every time, but my prepaid doesn't. Even though they are both the latest sim model number TM9190 or whatever.
If anyone has any ideas or solutions to this, please let me know.

I'm guessing my issue is a very rare one. I don't really see Nything else on the forums about it. Anyone have any guesses? Or anything I can test.

Please insert SIM Card

Hey Guys,
just recieved my Tablet today (LTE Version) and tried some stuff.
But all the time there is a notification about insertig a SIM Card, which is annoying.
At the moment I don't have another SIM Card, since the one i have is in my Phone, but i already wrote to my Carrier.
Till I get a SIM from them (which is not sure yet), is there a possibility of disabling this notification?
I know that there is no SIM, so why does the Tab need to tell me all the time?
Btw, it does not go away after going into Flight Mode.
Thanks for your Ideas and Solutions!

[Q] Help Confirming I317m Hardware Issue

I have this I317m locked to bell. I am trying to use it on virgin mobile canada. From what I've read, I shouldn't have to unlock it to use it on virgin. Anyway, when I insert my virgin sim card, sometimes it'll say unregistered sim and other times it'll just tell me emergency call only. When I look under status, it knows my phone number and it knows that there is a sim card inserted, but it won't let me connect to anything. It's completely stock and on 4.4.2. It never asks to enter an unlock code when booted up and no combination of any symbols and numbers that I have found on the web results in anything happening through the dialer. I have an unlock code for it and I cannot input it anywhere. I am starting to think that I have a hardware issue of some kind and hope that it can be confirmed with help from you guys. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
So it can pick up virgin under available networks, it just can't register on anything. This time, when I turned it on, it read virgin for a split second on the lock screen then switched to unregistered sim and then to just emergency calls only. It has bars showing up, I just can't connect to anything. strange.
Well, I have it all apart now and figured for the $7.69 it costs for a new sim reader and micro sd reader, I'll give it a shot.I kinda have a feeling that it not the issue though. I'm kinda leaning toward the nand being fried or something like that.
Have you checked that the IMEI was clean?
The imei comes up under about phone and matches the sticker. What else is there to check? It also shows up doing the #*06# trick.
Aha! Checked IMEI. Not clean. Will fix properly now. Thanks.
Which normally means you're in possession of a lost, unpaid or stolen device...

my particular play droid goes to voicemail too quickly

my particular play droid goes to voicemail too quickly, goes to voicemail after only one ring. the behavior of calling out is also a little off as there are about 10 seconds of just dead waiting before the call goes through and begins counting the seconds on the dialing screen.
taking the ota update to 7.1.1 did not resolve it.
putting my tmobile mvno gsm sim in other unlocked phones does not present this issue. when 1st put in sim it did not say enter unlock code but did say sim is not from verizon.
doesn't seem like it is quite fully unlocked or there is some software or radio issue.
UPDATE
found the APN settings for the sim card been using and that solved the issue.
