Where can i find the cheapest real 32 gb micro card? - EVO 4G Accessories

Suggestions? Please dont say ebay.
*This was posted from my Evo 4G*

Verizon's online store, I think. They had a database error up yesterday which let them sell 32GB class 2 MicroSDs for $53.11 shipped and taxed. They fixed that, unfortunately, but its still pretty cheap for $99. And you know it will be authentic.

Wow, i wished i could have caught it for 53..oh well..whats the speed of the vz card?

Don't know about the authenticity of the cards, but you have protection from both Dhgate and Paypal so it is worth a look.

Hmm.. on that site it seems to be selling wholesale cards..not interested in that....then again i did the search from my phone and it wasnt so thorough..

Here is the link for the single pieces. I would probably wait until the seller actually gets a rating haha

32gb MicroSD card < $20

I was looking into cheap 32 gb cards and found a website called DHGate, a chinese bulk supplier.
Anyways...
Link
I was thinking of buying around 10 and reselling 8 or 9 online/locally.
What does everyone think?
Most likely fake, try ebay instead. At least you will get ebay/paypal protection

I've purchased from them before. There a wholesaler so you're right you have to buy in bulk. There just like Alibaba. Those are only class 2 cards too. I found lowest price 32gb > class 2 for $72 on NewEgg and those others are $188 for 10. I would turn them over for $50 a pop and make a killin'.
Why not make some cash I was thinking the same thing about the battery and charger thread ha ha.

Hey guys, I would read this:
http://www.419legal.org/fradulent-website/16378-dhgate-com-official.html
It looks like nothing but headaches from this company. Also looks like most/all stuff is counterfeit.

That's strange. I ordered a bunch of memory from them before and I received it no problem. Of course it takes almost a month to reach you because of customs. I'll make sure not to do business with them again after seeing that. Thanks for the heads up.
I just ordered one of these today:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260631752949
At best it's an incredible deal. At worst, I find out what it's like to go through the Paypal protection policy.

Nice, they even brand it as Sandisk. I have found that Paypal protection is excellent the two times I have ever had to deal with the,.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, however, for $21 and a guarantee from both Ebay and Paypal...you really have nothing to lose.
The model number they quote on the page is the model number of the actual Sandisk chip, though they could have easily pulled that information from the website for their fake product. They also say it is a class 4 (yay!)
I'm thinking of trying them out just for the hell of it!
Anything coming from china is fake. Thats why everything they sell is so cheap. If you think its real then your on crack. Dont buy anything from china.
amazon usually has pretty good deals on sdcardds
Either way, I don't feel I have much to lose at 20 bucks. Even if PayPal falls through, my credit union will refund me outright because it's under 25 bucks and I wouldn't even have to return it.
So how would we be able to tell if this is fake anyway?
I just got mine in the mail. Will update with transfer speeds and impressions once I get home tonight.

If you bought one of those $30 32gb MicroSD cards it is likely fake. It may appear to be 32gb when it is placed in your pc/phone but it will not correctly store data over its true capacity. If you could please use h2testw (google it) and run the full test to verify the authenticity of your card. I bought a Sandisk 32gb MicroSD from expansys and verified it using this program.
I would recommend you guys don't waste money on these cards as counterfeit items are huge in China. 32gb of the memory used inside these cards would probably be close to if not more then the cost you are paying. So apply a little common sense here.
Ive never had any issues with china. Bought a kingston cruzer 200 128gb usb 2.0 drive for 29 dollars and it works as needed. 19 mb/s write speed and 25 read. Its a beast. And yes Ive tested its full capacity on multiple occasions. Works great.
As to your question, I have download your test software (h2testw) and am running it now. Will report when finished.
Initial tests with sdcard test on evo reports it as class 2, 3 mb/s write (not great, but it is large enough to compensate), but still getting a 12 mb/s read.
Once you get over 2gb of stuff on the card report back if the files are broken or not.
I have heard that they show as 32gb, but once you pass 2gb the files become broken, and if you format the card it formats to 2gb.
It's a rip off.
at 9 gb so far on the h2test2 program. no issues.
Where exactly did you order that card from though? Was it the ebay link provided in this thread?

32GB SD Card cheap

Can anyone find any great deals? I'm having horrible luck.

Lol priceless!
brilliant answer, already saved in my bookmark..lol
Depends, I got mine from Verizon for $100 but I'm not sure that's cheap. It is the cheapest legitimate 32gb card I have found.

Amazon has a SanDisk class 2 for $80 and a Kingston class 4 for $100.
If you want one for the Evo make sure you search for microSD and not SD or you can get the wrong product. The cheapest I have seen that are real valid 32gb microSDHC cards are $80 and up.
Got mine from amazon. Blueproton was the seller for $88 free shipping. Amazon, Komputerbay has it for $76.96 free shipping.
I've been hoping for a good deal this Black Friday season. I'll post it here in the accessories section if I find anything especially good.

Hit up ebay, Amazon, or Craigslist. That is your best bet. Just beware of really low prices. If it seems too good to be true, IT IS.

Largest, fastest and cheapest SD card?

What is the largest, fastest and most budget-minded SD card I can get for this device, preferably off of NewEgg...
Anyone?
Don't buy from Bestbuy thats all I can tell you. Your best bet is to search on amazon and get it. That way.

So a 32 gig card is compatible with this device? Class 6 or class 10 is what I should stick with? I don't go to Best Buy, so I'd buy online, like from NewEgg.
I got this one with a promotion code for 55$

Buyer beware fake 32gb microsd from ebay!

I just received a fake 32gb microsd card from the ebay seller called artmandaniel. I am so stupid , after I wrote all the files on the card I thought
it is genuine and gave him good feedback. However when I checked the contents of the card I noticed that everything after 230 megs was not there. I paid 12$ for it
Here is the picture:
UPDATE:
I wrote the seller this message:
"You sent me fake card , it is 256mb and not 32gb as advertised"
And I got this response:
"I am so sorry I can give you a refund, I bought it for cheep off here to resale, let me figure out how to refund and i will get your money back as soon as possible.
Agin i am truly sorry
Daniel"
I checked my paypal account and he indeed has transferred 12$ back.

You should've used common sense and not have bought something with such a low price tag.
Remember that you can revise eBay feedback, just google it

Good to know. I've stuck with buying from online retailers as I've dealt with them for years now and the price is pretty decent. Better than walking into a store any day.
I've seen this technique used with harddrives but haven't seen it with flash memory yet.

Yup, eBay sellers, espexially from Hong Kong and China are very friendly.

eBay needs to control listings like these of "fake" merchandise.
the issue is how can they control the fake listings? there are some legit bargains on eBay. if you have any issue like this in the future and the seller won't give you your money back, you can open a case in the Resolution Centre.
So then he may be trusted ?

It's not the fault of the ebay resellers that this happens. It's the suppliers who fool the resellers into buying the stock. They have no way of testing all of that and assume it is legitimate and resell it to you. By which you find out eventually: "oh shoot: it's a fake". I'm sure there are some bad eggs that knowingly sell the fake stuff to you, but most of the time both parties are duped here.
It's also a reason why you never buy flash drives/cards off Ebay: always go through a recognized supplier as they pay extra to ensure this doesn't happen.
