I am interested with the performance of both in terms of battery life? read reflex's overclocked but undervolt... i am interested to know if this affects battery.. thx in advance.. i was using leedroid froyo/gingerbread and both have great battery life...
would like to know if on reflex, battery life is as good?
ReflexS probably has a bit worse battery life due to Sense 3 stuff on it.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
any other experience? i have flashed reflex today... battery seems good. will continue to test
thx for all these replies! going back to leedroid gb...reflex's not stable enough imo although sense 2.1/3.0 is really nice
any battery mods that can be done?
I notice Reflex S is worse than Leedroid
I want to ask you guys from your experiences which rom have you got the best battery life. I flashed mainly all the current roms (MIUI, Virus, and etc.) I haven't got great battery life from any. So if you guys can recommend me one. I don't mind old roms as well. Such as sense 2.2 roms and such.
Generally ROMs don't affect battery life it's usually the kernel.
Also, to say that font is hard to read would be an understatement.
Wasn't trying to be rude.
As far as battery life goes I would consult this thread if you haven't already.
Unfortunately, because no phone is the exact same, battery life can vary from Evo to Evo.
There have been talks about the newer linux kernel builds [all the aosp kernels are based off the newer ones] using more battery than the older ones.
Personally, I have seen a slight decline in battery life since moving to the newer Linux kernels.
I would start with that with that link I gave you first...it really does significantly improve your battery life.
I've personally found the best battery life with the combination of decks rom 1.2z, savagedzen 2.2.1 and viperboys script @-75
So obviously Jelly Bean so far has been a battery hog, I'm coming from AOKP. So what's the best kernel for battery life? Or what's the best ROM / Kernel combination? The opinions I'm looking for are from people with real world experiences, and that have tested all of the kernels available.
Thanks
leave everything stock for best battery life
IMO people think the battery life sucks because they're always on their phone. Atleast that's how I am, but however I'm on Vicious 4.1.1 V1 and I'm getting incredible battery life with the kernel that comes w/ it.
Another one of these threads.....
I've found arhd really good, on sabsa prime v 11 now, battery life is good but not as good as ahrd,
experiences ?
ARHD was the best for me. After that I've found Sabsa Prime to be best with Jellytime a close second. Others on the Jellytime thread have reported excellent battery life, similar to what I was getting with ARHD. But my battery is about 2 years old now, so that may explain why.
Synergye's AOSP 4.2.1 codefirex BR9 seems to be excellent - smooth user-experience and awesome battery life for a JB+ ROM. :good:
But not sure about the recent SR1 release.
Generally Gingerbread based ROMs have the best battery life. Then AOSP/AOKP ICS, then Jellybean. In y experience anything running Sense has worse battery drain, but best version of Sense for battery life is stock 3.0, then 3.5, then 4.0A (Sense 4.0 lite) then 4.1

I have an M8 that the battery life sucks on with marshmallow sense roms. I have run Cyanogen and GPE and all other variants of AOSP roms with great battery life. Can anyone help me figure this out? I have done all of the battery calibration steps and no luck.
