Why are some of the Inc dev's leaving XDA?

Ok. So i have been away from the form for a couple of weeks (family emergency) and I noticed that some of the dev's are packing up and going to different forums JoelZ9614, ihtfp69. What did I miss?

I'm kinda wondering that too tbh

devs should just ignore the crap and keep doing what they do.

Stuff like this makes me want to stay with CM even more. CM is my first love for custom ROMs and my favorite so far due to it's speed and features and open source model. Since they packed up quietly it just would make you speculate.
I like looking at the front page of Inc development to see what's new. We'll still be seeing new ROM on xda, just from fewer devs.

They are doing what they do, just decided to do it elsewhere. A few things have happened on xda that ticked a lot of people off.

im staying right here. doesnt matter who leaves, who stays. people need to grow the hell up and grow some thicker skin. this childish behavior HAS to stop for the good of the community. we will implode if all our devs leave. its like a joke to them. were not in third grade anymore guys. grow up, seriously......

thank you. this was the best phone i ever had. one cause of development and two cause of service. now im regretting it for more then one reason.

I thought I would stick with this phone way past my contract because of the development but I might have to second guess that if the developers become too hard to locate . Like they say " There is a beginning to every end "

[Q] How to remove the crappy lockscreen?

So. I got my 5th android telephone now, Galaxy S2, and i absolutely love it. I have ofcourse, rooted the phone and removed most of the crappy samsung apps as most of them just seem to drain battery.
Its almost the perfect phone for me now. There is however one thing that remains and endless anoyance for me. Was the same with S1.
How on earth do you remove that redicilous lockscreen? Or change it to something else? I dont mean changing the lockscreen picture. Just replacing it with some other lock screen. Like the one that comes with HTC Desire and so on.
Just to be clear. I know how to turn lockscreen of. But i want to CHANGE it. I hate the swipething.

5th Android phone and you haven't heard of Market?.. Widgetlocker or who knows how many other options? Maybe post questions in the Q&A section also.

You can try "widget locker" from Market and there is also an app "Agile Lock" that makes the same Lockscreen as its in Sense 3.0 (with the Ring and shortcuts).

Didnt know there were lockscreens on the market as i asumed you had to tamper with som root settings or something! And i never bothered to look for them on most of my phones as i were happy with them as they were... So sorry for asking you sour tard @nobnut !!

Don't usually jump in these, especially when I'm new to the samsung side of xda but I think your the one being a sour tard... Your the one posting questions in the themes and apps section and when he provided you an answer you insult him... smh go investigate the market and while your at it learn how to search.

Widget locker and Agile lock(currently using) are the best alternatives to stock lockscreen. But if you like to read your facebook n rss feeds then you might want tui try out the Flyscreen which is also free. There are other apprentices as well. But these are the best ones to my concern.

[Q] spy apps/software??

I know similar questions have been asked before and information won't be easy to obtain from anyone regarding this but I know so many poeple have the knowledge to answer. I obviously don't want to use a subscription service but here is my dilemma.
Yes I am trying to spy, however I own both devices and pay for the entire bill just granting the phone for use as is to my current girlfriend, I'm not accusing her of cheating however she is hiding something and its all within the texts she deletes, those texts are transmitted to and from the device I allow her to use, just looking for any options I have aside from shelling out hundreds or thousands on something that can be easily accomplished, however if the information is sensitive I don't want it uploaded to the web, just more of a forward type of thing I suppose but definately hidden from her view, she isn't tech savvy, but our evos are both rooted and custom Rom etc. If anyone could help me with this, that would be super. App / software / source / service doesn't matter to me.

If you have access to the gmail account that is used with the phone you could install Google Voice. I noticed the other day that it saves a copy of my texts even though I had flashed multiple Roms since.

Could he? He does own the phones and the contract is in his name. Should be able to do whatever he wants with the phone he's "lent" out, right?
A buddy of mine suspected his wife was cheating and she wouldn't admit to it. He decided to sift through her emails. He found she was, had proof, divorced her and is now happily married to a faithful woman. Just sayin.....had he not done that he would be far worse off. There's definately better ways to do it.....but every relationship and every person is different right?

That's weird, I thought he was asking for help with finding an app. Guess I missed the part where he asked for a bunch of relationship advice....

None of us know. Supposedly he's been updating his other rom on a different device but no eta as of yet. It's really a great rom so I'm good without an update for now.

4g hotspot mod can be obtained and is noted in the thread, your apps update on its own and maybe I missed something but are there legit bugs.

I dont mind answering questions and i dont bash noobs just this guy. Look at the treads he posted they r rediculous. Look at my history i dont bash noobs. But like u said "people have lives" like developers and so they may not have time to update there rom nor does it really need updated. Niiiiice point, so here is a thought don't ask the waitress a dumb question and hey here is another thought take some time to research. There are still rules and guidelines in xda in reference to asking questions. I dont want to be that guy but the reason you have to skim through 600 pages is because 400 of those pages have the same question asked over and over. Of course filled with people like me telling them to search....Lol

ETA questions are impossible to answer. The dev can say he is going to release an update tomorrow and then if he has to make any last minute changes, it looks like he isn't keeping his word and people start going nuts on the thread.

That's the problem, be selfish and only do what you want to do. Learn to ignore, they're not going to raise their pitchforks. For example, look at tdj, he's well respected because he does good work, but there are times where he blows off steam and tells people off and is even respected for that. There's no point in asking for respect, just do respected work and don't expect respect especially on the interweb.

I actually help people IN THE REAL WORLD with volunteer work and ADHD kids. They never thank me and give me hell everyday but i dont yell at them, throw a fit, or expect any gratitude or praise. So grow up dude and step outside your house.

You want to sound like a saint , but you pm me for "no reason "and call me a fat pimple faced geek who has no life and live to troll xda but in reality I'm a 31 year old man who had to quit my job a year ago to become a full time care giver for my Father in law who has a brain injury amongst other issues . So yeah I have a lil free time on my hands to troll around as you call it. But I help out when I can and do have a life, kids and what not.
I don't want no problems with people around here but dude you pm'ed me for no reason calling me names and crap. Not cool.
