I renamed .apk to .jpg, then i got the full options Context menu (also with BT). ;]

EStrongs File Explorer is working for me, but for me its better to use DLNA.
use gmote .. it rocks
I use cifs manager to mount network shares and just browse them with the "My Files" app or Root explorer. You need to find a cifs.ko file that works with your phone though.

+1 for Estrongs.
I haven't managed to play video files through that route yet (always get unplayable error in the player) but its not that big of a deal. Its really cool to move stuff by wifi so easily, and it works both ways. Much happy.

[Q] Change .APK file Association?

Hi
When in my Gmail account and want to open a file attachment (.APK file) it opens with Bluetooth File Transfer and showing the files inside the .APK file.
Is there a way to change which application to associate with APK files? I want either root explorer or EZ File Manger to handle .APK files.
I have tried reset all the applications settings to default with no luck.
Went into Settings -> Managa applications -> Bluetooth File Transfer but the button Clear Defaults is greyed out.
I'm I stuck with Bluetooth File Transfer for opening .APK files?
That's strange. What do you use to access your gmail? Because i've just tried the Mail app & Mail widget from HTC, and both save the .apk fle to the SD card/downloads from my GMail account.
Bluetooth FT does not even show up.

What's a private app?

I recently installed an app from Google Play and when I go to Astro File Manager to back up my apps it's the only one I can't back-up.
There is no check box next to it like all the others, it just says (private).
I have over 120 apps and this is the ONLY one that says this.
Does anyone have any idea why?
Thank you in advance

[Q] Can't send files via bluetooth using Sabsa Prime v6

I'm using Sabsa Prime 6.0 and I installed the ES Explorer and OI Explorer. With both file explorers I can't send files with the send option in the context menu via bluetooth. If I click on a file and press send or transfer it looks like that I can only send the file with my mail client. The is no option for bluetooth visible.
Have anybody the same problem and can this verify?
I'm on v6.5 as of now but I don't think there was such problem in v6.0 when I had it. In anycase, v6.5 is out. You can flash it over v6.0 and see if it solves the problem.
Just to be sure.. You're saying the "Share as.." menu you get when you select "Share" in the long press menu doesn't show Bluetooth as an option?

Yes, this is what I mean. Now I know the right name in english because I'm using the german language for rom.
I flashed to Sabsa Prime v6.5. I think there is another problem what I don't understand. If I try to send another file e.g. extension *.log, then I can see the bluetooth option after select the share option. I dont' see the bluetooth option if I try to send a *.apk file. Can me help anybody to understand this situation?
Hmm.. Strange. As far as I know there is no such limitation on not being able to send apk files. I'm able to see the bluetooth option for apk files. Could have been a temporary glitch? Is it still persisting? Still not showing the bluetooth option for apk files after flashing v6.5?
Ermm haven't try send by Bluetooth later will try n share btw I'm also using sabsaprime v6
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda app-developers app

Don't think it is a rom problem... How are you trying to share the file?
with astro manager..
its simple..
rename your file with any filemanage from .apk extention to some other file extention(.gif for example)and send. Now try. It will be successful. Now rename back to .apk. Thanks
