HAHA...backup batteries...and conf email. - EVO 4G Accessories

After reading lots here in xda land about the TP2 batteries being same as what is used in Evo...I purchased from Ebay (same seller as others have mentioned).
I totally got a kick out of the confirmation email...not sure if engrish or was actually intended to be ironic:
Shipping time: because you bought the item from opposite side of the earth,
it needs time to ship and the duration on its way to you is out of control.

weird haha thats hilarious tho

I bought from the seller also, I think he puts it that way because he gets a lot of complaints about shipping time from buyers, along with less than 5 stars on reviews for shipping.
Still, it gets the point across

Did you really need 64? Now I can't get one because you needed 64 cases for one phone. Sometimes the dumbass level of people is off the charts. Thank you. Truly.

And I wasn't the only one that ordered big, the last guy ordered 100. If I had the chance, I would have ordered 10,000.

I know I just posted but this is amazingly stupid... You're telling me if you were quick enough to have gotten to the cases before they sold out you wouldn't have ordered multiple cases? Knowing they are ****ty cases, when they ruin I can have backups. You're ignorant and retarded.
Obviously I'm not the one who needs to search my couch, if you are spending all that time and effort to make 60 bucks. I have a case. It would have been nice to grab one backup for a penny. It's the principle of people being selfish assholes, not my dying need for a penny case. I'm sure you're a real winner in life, so who gives a **** about anyone else, right?

And no, why the hell would I order a bunch of cases only to sell them for a dollar on ebay? I would spend my time and energy listing the cases, packing them up in boxes or envelopes, driving to the post office, etc just to make about 50 dollars. If you need it that bad, I guess I'm glad you ordered them all. Maybe they'll make more available to you later so you can make an extra 5 bucks. I know you've been eyeing that Double Big Mac Value Meal.

$58.50 for HD Speaker docks on Amazon right now

Just a heads up to the XDA crew, as of right now HD Speaker docks for the Xoom are $58.50 on Amazon, it says only 15 left.
Here's the link:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004M8RWDE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A7A8X63QUS8D4
The next lowest price is $85.99, so $58.50 is a pretty insane bargain, it's more than 50% below retail. I just snagged one.
a couple of weeks ago there was a deal on the Motorola/amazon page for speaker dock + wireless keyboard for $54... can't believe I missed it ;(
It depends when you got in on the deal. Reports vary, and I admit to getting in early only to find a very weak selection of accessories online. Yet there are tons that got in after I did and saw a completely differently stocked store, and "made off like bandits."

Got that deal. Purchased on the 18th. No sign of it or the keyboard yet...
Also, OP should be clear: this is $64 with shipping. Still a good deal (if you're in the market).

Thanks for the link! I printed off the page, went into my local Best Buy in Toronto, and they price matched it! So instead of paying $129.99 CDN, I paid $58.50 CDN!! I can't believe that I got away with it. I swore they were going to give me a hard time since it's Amazon.com instead of Amazon.ca, but to be honest, I don't think they even checked. They just looked at the price on the printed page and gave it to me, no questions asked

thanks alot man, saved me a good bit of money on this deal!

[Q] Would you consider this a steal?

So I really wanted to get a gnex like REALLY BAD. So I picked up a used iPhone 4 on my local cl for 250 which happened to have a unlock able baseband, which I unlocked, then buying a few cases for it sold it on eBay for 415. Then in turn found this bad boy on eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/23073326862...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1958wt_982
The only thing is that it has a Knick on the bottom corner...and the desc. Says a few light scratches but I don't mind.
So.... I BOUGHT IT!
What do you guys think...

Sorry, been wanting it reall bad so I'm kinda excited, was not wondering if I should get it, I was wondering if y'all consider it a bargin
Good luck and let us know how it comes out.
I guess I am a little reluctant seeing as they say the phone works, but yet they do not have a picture of it actually on in that listing.
weird.
I am going to go out on a limb here and make a wager. $10 Internet Dollars the phone is either reported lost or stolen when he tries to activate it.
I bought my Galaxy Nexus from eBay for $600 about 2 weeks ago. It has a minor scratch mark at the bottom of the phone. Other than that, It's in a great condition. Your seller has a good rating, so there's a good chance that the phone you bought is legit. If your scratches are minor to you, then $533 is a good deal. When I was looking for a GN, the biddings usually end at around $625 - $650.

I'm sorry, I dont subscribe to the "I dont know or recognize that brand name so it must be generic" train of thought. If that were the case I'd have never rcvd the sweet white carbon fiber battery cover I just got since it doesnt even have a name brand. Moral of the story, dont knock it till you try it

Most, if not all of these same accessories can be found on eBay for a lot cheaper.

I'd have to agree with that. But most of if not all of those same accessories ship from Hong Kong too...everything ordered from the site I posted might cost a few bucks more, but they're shipped from the USA and arrive much faster. To some, that's worth the few extra bucks spent.

I am always willing to pay a little extra to get it from the states. I order stuff because I want it now, not in 3 weeks. I have my eBay app set up to show only US sellers for that reason alone. I know it's all the same stuff. I contacted Amazon about putting that feature into their app twice, with no response

All those recognized name brands had to start off as unknowns at one point aswell. People these days cant seam to grasp that concept tho. Lots of times thats where NEW ideas come from. The NEW guys.

Nexus 7 (8GB) for 78£ ?!

the price in the morning was at 98£, they had already sold ~15 items, now it's at 78£
what do u think guys?? seems like something is fishy here right? ... not to mention, shipping from Hong Kong

All of his feedback as a seller are for nothing more than like $50. 15 feedback, of unrelated items to technology. Where does one magically get 80+ of these. And can sell them for half of what they sell for AND make a profit...
Look at some of their previous purchases.
Too fishy for me to order the Calimare this time around.
Location is Hong Kong. Almost guarantee that it's a fake.
anything coming from Hong Kong should always be approached with caution. Now Ebay does have rules again st selling counterfeit items, to the point that if caught the entire account will be disabled. Kinda Worth the risk at the price, just make sure you are not spending your rent money on it.
Alot like gambling IMO, you could get the legit thing at a great price, but also keep in mind its cheap enough to just order straight from Google, if you want to be 100% sure.
So people,
Looks like our doubts have been confirmed. The listing has now been removed from eBay.
You were just too good to be true.
