I agree. I too am interested in the CBW Blaze. They had it on special for like $49.99, and being a Cincinnati Bell Employee, I'm subject to the Employee sales that come around too. This is becoming a very popular phone, selling out at most stores in the first few weeks. I would strongly recommend at least some rom support, if not another subforum group. If a phone needs to be submitted to get some work done, i'm sure I could get ahold of one if I could get JF or Cyanogen to cook us a rom.
i need new section for bada it,s wonderfull phone
recently bricked mine fastbootflashing the superboot for a60 lucky i found a tarball someone made of their blaze reflashed the boot mtd img and my phone boots again, superboot a60 supersucks

"Coming from the TP2 (booting android-and have flashed many of roms and builds) and am getting the SGS2 shortly....the only big question I have is there a difference between CDMA and GSM on these devices???? there is a ton of stuff on the "Galaxy S2" on at&t but very little on the Sprint side, so is there a diff between CDMA and GSM on the SGS2(or Epic touch)???
I'm on Sprint, need to flash on day one, and making sure I have the most up to date info on flashing.
Can someone confirm that this is really all that's necessary for root? There is so much information, alot of which is older and so much information, I don't understand why there is not a stickie with exactly this info for quick easy root of stock... My phone is flashed to metro and until I pull the info from the phone for backup purposes, I need to be able to root without losing metro config.

I also came from a Touch Pro 2. Man what an improvement.
Unfortunately, CDMA and GSM ROMs and other developments are mostly not cross-compatible, at least to the end-user.
For quick and easy root only, I highly recommend one of the stock with root ROMs. Custom kernels seem to be highly correlated with the LOS bug people are complaining about, though some disagree with me.
I think I might be missing your point. I def. Know all about the differences between cdma and GSM. I started flashing Roms with the G1 and did so with 3 dozen other android phones since. I also flashed my Epic 4g to boost by myself( pain in the ass it was) but now I have this phone a n's it's on metro and until flashing to boost becomes possible I need to be able to root with out all of the metro configuration in the phone getting erased. So can I just Odin cwm and flash superuser? I CAN'T EVEN REMOVE THE GOOGLE ACCOUNT FROM THE PHONE UNTIL I KNOW I CAN DO IT WITHOUT LOSING METRO BY FACTORY RESET WHICH IS THE ONLY WAY

Anybody have any clue if there any ROMS in development for Virgin Mobile USA users for the Wildfire S? Would love to see CM7 or maybe even Wildfire S -JikantaruROM XE™|Sense2.1|DATA2SD|HighQuality & Performance 10-30-11 for this model. I am one of the few who have successfully turned the S-OFF!!!! Please help!!!
An unofficial CM7 port with an overclockable kernel is here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1226765
It's the best you can get right now IMO.
I also have Virgin Mobile (Bell), but in Canada.
Tried that but I keep getting this error when I flash it.
Ugh don't understand why I am gettting this problem!!!!
Still having this problem I just don't get it!!!!! I really need this ROM as for some reason I can't keep my internal memery any higher than 15mb.
I just may shoot myself.......LOL.....I mean my $200 dollar Wildfire S is doing worse than my supercheap Sanyo Zio.
i had the same problem
i fixed it by updating clockmound recovery
after installing it, it stayed in the bootloader screen(after nandroid backup sd slot wouldn't work)
there is only 1 cdma rom atm that i know of working
Yeah I couldn't get cm7 to work for me, to my knowledge there is a stock ROM for us VM USA uses being tossed around here at XDA and there is a guy Over at Android central trying to get cm7 going, but he's mostly on his own as far as development.
That's about it.
Sent from my HTC_A510c using XDA App
Agreed
I would also love to see a ROM developed to work with the VM USA version of this phone. If anyone is taking suggestions, please make it Senseless, as it takes up SOOO much space, and I would actually like to put some games and Netflix on this phone.
Just saw this today when reading pulse. Hopefully its not true.
Samsung devices confirmed for Android 4.0 don't include one Galaxy S II
I would post the link but the system wont let me as I'm to new.
Is this for sure as I'm not a big fan of the skyrocket roms for the t989.

TMobile responded on Facebook about this. They said TMobile never gives dates on updates, but are working to get the update out as soon as possible. And do you think people on xda don't know things.Your information was days ago.And not a big deal.
FROM A GALAXY BETTER THAN YOURS.
You know, this drives me nuts. I'm running a skyrocket with TMO rom. Do you notice in the wifi area the "Wifi calling" option? (Which works and I use)
I would bet cash the TMO extension has nothing to do with them dragging their feet, and everything to do with the wifi calling integration. No where does it say no ICS for TMO, it only LACKS the information.
I'd be a millionaire with how many times I've seen "NO FROYO" "NO GINGERBREAD" "NO ICS" for TMO. Its. Flat. Not. True. No info <> No Update
Oh my gosh.....

Not to troll here but theres an official thread for these kinds if things

Um per article at TG Daily [read the other day cant find it to link sorry], They even said Samsung themselves said we cant give any info cause we don't have it for Tmo Galaxy S2 ICS upgrade, BUT we are working very closely with them and it SHOULD [they will never say will with the upgrade issues Android has had in the past because users flame real fast if they give a firm date and miss it for whatever reason] be releasing only about several months behind the other Galaxy S2 updates at the current rate.
Then as stated above Tmo essentially validated it via FB stating we never divulge upgrade info or dates [see above brackets], but we are working on getting the update ready and will pass along more information as we can.
Just search Google For ICS update issues and see for yourselves why Tmo would want to be sure it is good to go [also, if you are a tech geek this means good to go for mainstream user use and that is totally different as they would not like to see a huge wave of warranty returns from bad update causing issues [see my Battery calibrate thread in this section as it has installation steps you should use when moving from Gingerbread to ICS to again give you an idea of the steps involved [NOT hard granted just have to do things a certain way.
Keep in mind the ICS ROMs for Tmo S2 that XDA has are all based on skyrocket ROMs [ported] and are running rather well [I have had no issues except the known Bluetooth bug in UCLD2 that is getting worked on]. So with that even Tmo folks could take a skyrocket port it fix issues as Devs here have [even could gank code even] and then get WiFi Calling running and bam done so I HIGHLY doubt as their FLAGSHIP phone that it will miss out on ICS. If you like to have ICS now see Dev threads and Raver as well as Yaldak both have daily driver quality ROMs [IMO (see my signature )]
The audio echo and shutdown freezes seem mostly related to not clearing your Dalvick Cache after ROM install. Mine freezes on first boot then I restart [pull battery] in to recovery and wipe dalvick cache and restart and it usually works [rarely have to re-flash and do it again].

Hi guys I flashed this rom from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1993996
the guy posted a link to facebook with download links in there
eventually after I flashed the ROM I saw that he named the file for my phone:
Liquid JB v2.0 RC8 (D2TMO) but I flashed this one: Liquid JB v2.0 RC8 (D2ATT)
which is probably the AT&T version, first of all I wanna say to this DEV - thank you very much for not making this clear to everybody that you have different roms for 20 different phones on one spot, now my phone is bricked thanks to you, yea yea yea you flashing is your own responsibility but how you could not make this thing clear just take a look at his thread it doesn't say nowhere that the right rom for me is somewhere down there, I assumed that the link on the top is the newest for my phone.
My phone is dead now, it doesn't wanna turn on, it doesn't wanna go into download mode, it doesn't wanna go into recovery, please help.
Thank you in advice!

Hey buddy,
I don't wanna be the bearer of bad news, however, it looks like you may have bricked your phone by flashing two roms made for other phones...
Liquid JB v2.0 RC8 (HERCULES)*
SIZE: 93 MB
MD5: 467aa4c3894e444e649fd18e7f89b6ef
MAINDL: http://bit.ly/SPAkAc
This is the one that you should have flashed. The "codename" for our phone is Hercules, you picked two roms for phones codenamed D2TMO and D2ATT (Droid 2, maybe)
I'm sorry but this is completely your fault, not the devs. About 9 links down lies a big fat HERCULES in plain text.
Call T-Mobile, get a warranty exchange, and watch this video:

So you just download the first link you saw when there were clearly loads of them? What kind of logic is that??? Sorry, but people like you shouldn't be rooting and flashing. I would have stopped and made a post in the original inquiring about which was the right download. Your phone is BRICKED. There's nothing you can do except get a warranty exchange from T-Mobile. It's a painless $5 fee and you'll get your new handset next day. Hope this was a lesson learned. READ READ READ. And when in doubt if you can't find your answer by reading, ASK.

Probably. But JTAG repair services are probably anywhere from $50 - $100 and a TMO warranty replacement is $25 though they will reimburse if you call and complain.
FYI... the D2TMO is the Galaxy S III for Tmobile.
I have been following the liquid jelly bean thread and I was amazed as to how many people bricked their phones by not knowing their devices code name..(Hercules) there is no difference between how the downloads are displayed and labeled in the Liquid jelly download page vs any other aosp based rom download page dont blame the developer or the OP ..just learn from it and move on

Yeah honestly I don't see why your so upset with the Dev, are you paying him money for the rom? Not paying attention to what your flashing IS your fault not his. The fact that you choose the first link download it, then flash means you either don't read or don't pay enough attention to what your doing.
Sorry you brick your phone hope you get it resolve but seriously learn from it and stop blaming other people for your mistakes.

guys please stop, the fact that so many people bricked their devices from this single thread should'a say something right? I mean come on, i'm not crying to anybody I moved on and I'm trying to fix it, it's just that if this thing happens to you tomorrow I doubt that you would support the dev so much.

Actually, no. The vast majority of people on XDA manage to download and flash the correct ROM's for their phones on a daily, for some hourly, basis. These people take the time to understand not only the process involved but also the consequences. You say there were many links and it was not clear which was correct for your phone? Well, why did you not ask? There is nothing wrong with taking whatever steps necessary to protect your $500 device. If you are unsure, ask. If you, for whatever reason, are afraid to ask, don't flash.
This mentality of not taking responsibility for one's own actions has permeated so much through society it should be labeled a virus. Next time, do the research that so many others do every day, ask the questions you need to ask and you'll avoid posts like the ones in this thread as well as the frustration of a damaged device.
Good luck to you.
I did the same thing for this rom. Bricked it solid. I don't blame the dev, I blame myself. After flashing so many times, I got careless. Luckily Walmart took it back after 30 days.

What's this? An individual taking responsibility and admitting oversight without casting around for someone to place the blame on?
OP could learn from you, brother.
T989, AOKP JB MS1 (KK nightly)
I don't mean to offend you or anything but you clearly downloaded a file and flashed it when it has ATT in its file name. The file is obviously for a AT&T phone and considering that you are rooted and got CWM installed on your phone you must atleast know something about your device. You should of learned that its called the "hercules" and that flashing something else would brick it. Most roms have hercules or the phone's name in the file name and that is a clear tell on how to fix it.
Lucky for you I did the same mistake except I downloaded the Galaxy S2 rom from CyanogenMod site and flashed it on my hercules (thinking all galaxys2's were the same) and then it got hard bricked. (My first attempt ever to install a rom yes I fail) but it was under the 20 day t-mobile exchange warranty and I got a brand new (not refurbished from the 1 year warranty) overnighted to me for free of charge. Your best bet would be to use the 20 day exchange if its new and the refurbished replacement if it isnt (normally cost 20$ for restocking fee, etc.) but thats good to get a phone back.

Note II Owners, Developers, & XDA Members:
I briefly mentioned this in another, related thread. However, considering how unique and specific this is, I thought it best to create a thread dedicated to it. Furthermore, I am fully aware of just how counterintuitive this is. As a matter of fact, there was just an article on XDA News this week that discussed doing the exact opposite. So, without further adieu, here's my question.
Has anyone tried flashing an I317 (AT&T Note II) ROM onto an N7100/N7105 with an N7100/N7105 modem? I know it seems counterintuitive, but what if you really wanted an AT&T Note II, complete with all the stupid AT&T crapware, but still wanted an international IMEI? Anybody tried this yet?
Now, before a flood of criticism comes my way, let me save you the trouble. You're right. It makes much more sense to flash an N7100 ROM onto an I317 instead of vice versa. However, there are a few AT&T-specific features that are included in the I317's stock ROM that I would like to explore on my N7100. So if anyone has any experience or good advice to help get me going in the right direction, I would REALLY appreciate it. Thank you for taking the time to read this. You have my gratitude.
Thank you,
Ed (Mister_Mxyzptlk)

I want to do this too
AT&T cannot (or WILL NOT) correctly provision unlocked phones so I can't get 4G speeds with my N7100 international Note 2 - haters! But the saleslady told me if I could get it to broadcast to the network as the SGH-i317 it would automatically pick up the 4G network. I have a little flashing experience from my Samsung Captivate, but isn't there a way to go in and change the network settings without rooting?
I think it would only work with the N7105 since the two phones are pretty much identical hardware wise. That being said, you'd need to grab an SGH-I317 ROM, run it through dsixda's Android Kitchen (making sure to extract the CSC as well during the working folder set up process), then delete modem.bin from the root of the working folder, then build the ROM - that would be the bare minimum required to take an AT&T ROM and make it flashable to an N7105 (because if you flash the modem, you're screwed and will need to restore the proper modem).
And look into making proper EFS NV item backups, along with the mk9efs partitions.
