To keep contact pic res, save the contact to the sim or phone, dnt sync them with google as they will lower to res for space requirements on there servers
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk

Hi guys,
I have a question about the text messages (SMS). When you receive an SMS, it will show you the date when the SMS was received but it DOES NOT show you what time the SMS was received. Is there ANY way to turn this on?
So besides the date, I also want to know on what time I receive my SMS messages.

It shows me the date AND the time on mine, I don't know why it doesn't on your device.
Where does it show the time then? All I see is:
- Name
- Text itself
- Date
- Size of message in Kb
Perhaps my version on WM6 is a bit messed up. You prolly have to Official WM6?
On the list view the time is not displayed, but when you open the individual messages it is.
(Official WM6 ROM)
noticed the side bar? it has extra space going up, when you push the dpad upward it shows the details. maybe they thought it would save some space, because no everybody wants to see the full detail. But I agree with you, its nice to see the date and time, so just scroll upward and you'll see it.

Hi there,i'm looking for a solution about an sms bug i have noticed on my P3600(udk 3.0 ITA WM6 FE)
When i receive an sms and i go to my sms list i see that the system orders them according the time/date of the sender and not the time/date of my p3600.
That means that if i receive an sms now from my girlfriend who lives in Australia(8hours time difference from Italy where i live)and then i receive other sms from my contacts from Italy, the list shows first the "australian" sms and then the "italian" ones!
Is there any solution to fix this bug or it's just that my P3600 gives priority to my girlfriend's sms???
Another issue: does somebody knows who to see the photo of the contact when you receive a sms?
In palm os there is a new app called picturesms but I don't know an app with this functionality for wm.

If the person who sends you a sms is in your contact list and if you have assigned a photo to that contact, when you open that sms, you should see his photo. It works automatically on my device, no more app needed.

When your using outlook, you assign pictures for every contact, when you sync it to your pocketpc it automatically shows the pictures, no extra software needed, saves a lot of space. of course you need to open the sms in order for you to see the picture, same goes with email etc.
but if you really want a 3rd party software try googling photo contacts.
Hi,
I found a strange little bug with the HTC Sense People app.
I have all my contacts synced from my Google Account but the problem is "Call Mobile" has 44 at the start of the number. Meaning when ever I try make a call it says number not recognised - I think it needs to have +44. When I got into edit contact it has the actual mobile number with 077 etc...
Any suggestions?
I've noticed this, I'm betting the contact you have this problem with is linked to Facebook. If you look at that persons Facebook details I bet they've put a phone number in that starts with 44. There is no way around it unless you can persuade them to change it. It seems that it uses this info over the Google info. The only thing to do is to unlink the contact from Facebook till they sort their number format out.

Thanks for getting back to me and yes they are synced with Facebook.
I have found a little work around though, when you are in the dialer and have their name highlighted use the optical pad to move left and right and it will choose their other numbers.
Ah! That's interesting to know, although I usually select ppl to call or text via the people app, so it kinda stuffs you that way. Oddly it will work for sending texts but not calling.

Hey guys,
i just found out that if you change the number (from mobile to work or home or something like that) it sort of fixes it. You still get the wrong facebook number in there but ay least you also get a usable number to call.
Having a small issue with contacts. I can get twitter/FB to sync pics and status updates for everyone of my contacts, but not for myself. I am running CM7 RC1. I know this isnt a big thing, but I dont understand if it can like for every other contact why it wont pull my own info for mine.
It will if you make a contact with your info in it

There is already a contact with my info on it.

Well, technically, you aren't a "friend" of yourself on facebook, nor do you follow yourself on twitter, so they have nothing to link to. Just download your profile picture onto your phone and manually attach it to your contact. I don't even have a contact for myself, I don't see the point.
One potential reason for having yourself as a contact is having your own picture show up in SMS conversations.
Ah, I use handcent sms, where you can manually set your own contact picture without actually creating your own contact, I guess that's why I don't have a contact for myself.
Like I said, just download your profile picture to your phone and manually set it as your contact picture? That should work just fine.
I'm using haxsync right now and it works great when seeing them in the mms threads. However, when i'm making a phone call the pictures are way too fuzzy. Is there any way of just disabling the contact pictures for when you make a phone call and have the stock grey background?
hey guys
even after set picture for my contacts ! when phone ringing or when i call that person ! the contact picture dosnt show !!

Same Issue
I'm having the same issue, I haven't figured out a way for it to work....it's definitely a bug
All of my contacts are saved as Google contacts and the contact pics display when dialing and receiving calls. Unless you really need them to be phone contacts, export them save the file (check the file to be sure all your contacts exist), then import the file, select your gmail amount when promoted. I'm not sure if this process will keep your contact pics.
