Would it be possible to run espresso themes on any sense phone? i.e. running lightshow on an aria? or hoops on a hero?
Sense Themes are designed to fit a fixed image structure, so to answer your question no. Unless, of course, you do the work to create a similar theme for the respective version of sense.

I started a theme.... but have no idea how to edit xml..... I was trying to theme the rest of sense like myns flat black.... so I'm currently trying to learn xml.

Does anyone know of a ROM that has sense but more of an AOSP look?
The Epic has one that is kinda what I am looking for http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=922773 It has more of an AOSP look but still has some of the TouchWiz framework.
I mostly want to still be able to use HTC Widgets and apps. Any ideas?
There are roms in the development section but if you want sense Widgets you have to use the sense launcher or launcher pro

Just use a Sense Rom and manually modify the Rosie to look like Aosp. Assuming you just want the launcher to look like Aosp. Btw, this is easier said than done unless you know a little bit about theming and modding.

Is there a ROM for the latest updated EVO 4G that is stock sense 2.1 just like the thunderbolt? I like the way to lockscreen changes depending on what skin you're using. I'm currently using a sense 2.1+3.0 ROM and love it but I like the change in lockscreen like a stock thunderbolt. Thanks in advance

I don't know of any roms for the evo that have that type of capability but as I have refered some people before pm either king or virus or some of the other devs and they might bring a port over to the evo. Also idk if you like the sense roms, but MIUI has themes like this. They change the lockscreen with each theme change.
Some skins will change your lock screen on all the sense 2.1 , 2.1-3.0 ,3.0 ROMs you just have to find a themed skin you could even find and try ones from other phones as long as they are for a 2.1 ROM they should work on the 2.1 and 2.1-3.0 ROMs and if its for a 3.0 well you get it.

I did a little bit of searching and couldn't come up with anything I really liked, or if I liked it the skin wouldn't work. I was hoping someone could provide a link to some sense 2.1 skins. Info seems to be quite scattered. Thanks a ton in advance for anyone who helps. Perhaps a sense 2.1 skins thread is in order?

Most skins are not sense specific but ROM specific so you need to look for skins compatible with your ROM and sense version

Well, I am currently running MikG v3 B2. I have a glasskin that works but I don't like the clear transparency on some of the widgets. Basically, I am looking for a sense clock widget that has black background flip tabs with white lettering and something transparent dark for the other htc widgets. Any ideas where else I could look? Thx.

Found the Wired skin in Mik's forum. Too bad there aren't more of these but I'm sure something else will pop up after coming out of beta. Thanks for the tip.

I really dislike the rosie bottom bar of HTC Sense 4 and would like to change it.
Now I have made a dozen skins on WinMo where it was very easy as you just needed to edit png's etc, I have the feeling it's slightly more complicated on Android.
Is there a guide/doc on how to customize Sense? And where can I find the files used for Sense 4.0? Where are the Sense files stored on the phone?

Well, to skin sense you need m10 tools right here from xda, but at the moment it doesn't work with the new sense files, but they work on it
