Text larger than WM6.5 largest setting - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Ok I've searched hi and low for this with no luck. I am almost 50 and am starting to need reading glasses to see the fine print. I have an HTC Touch Pro2 with Wm6.5. I have the text size set to the largest setting but would love to have it a bit larger. Mainly for my contacts and text messaging. I have the text set to 300% when typing but I neet the messages that are sent to me to show up larger. It would also be nice if the zoom bar worked with text messages as it does with web pages. I know I am not the first to have this problem, hopefully someone can put me on an app or fix for this.

Carry and use reading glasses...Or get glasses with line free bi-focals. You might be surprised how your overall sight improves...

Idea for new threaded SMS app, Touch Style!

Since I bought my Touch, I have been using the Threaded SMS app for text messaging and I love the app but as great as the app is, it doesn't work that well with the UI of the Touch. The onscreen keyboard covers up the input panel and because the texts are linear with the newest texts at the bottom, you can't see new texts with the keyboard open either.
This is what I propose:
I think it would be awesome to see a new version of the Threaded SMS application that is reversed. A version that has the input panel at the top with linear text messages showing the newest messages at the top instead of bottom. This would solve a lot of typos and you would actually be able to see what you are typing while still keeping that threaded SMS look and making having a conversation through text messaging that much easier. Also I think the registry in this app needs to be cleaned up a bit or re-written. It has many bugs like not always showing the new message counter on the home plugin or showing the counter on the plugin but not on the taskbar. Also sometimes it does not alert you of a new message so I think that a few tweaks is all it would really need aside from being redone reversed.
The original version is attached below.
the answer doesnt lie in the cab...the code itself needs to be edited...
Well I already knew that but I attached the cab as a base for modification.

Messaging window

Is there anyways to make the part of the screen where the text your typing can me made to be larger. As I am typing a new text, you can only see one line maybe before it scrools out of view. Most of the screen is showing the text you aleady have read or seen. You know what I mean? Thanks.....
You're probably talking about the text messaging field in the unified communications screen. I don't know about enlarging that text window, but here's a suggestion. Use the default messaging app. Don't go into the threaded messages window, just use Compose New. It doesn't look as pretty, but you get a large field to see the text you're typing and it launches faster.
That seems to be an inconvenience, having to do "compose new mail" each and every time to respond to a text. It seems there would be a way to make that window larger and the other smaller. I'm no programmer by no means, but I have seen these guys do a lot more complex things for our devices.

Anyway to fix this dual texting crap?

Delete.
One's man burden is another man's blessing!
Most folks seem to hate the threaded SMS which you like, for reasons including that you get such a tiny little area to see what you've typed, plus you don't have the option of adding other recipients.
I'm not trying to get into a debate about it .. just hoping to point out that there is more than one solution to your problem of "dual texting crap": I haven't seen any tweaks to embrace the nice new interface, but here is one for killing it and sticking with the tried and tested 30 year old way ..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=373681
BTW .. a bonus is that once you have applied this, you can easily change your mind later and simply go and toggle the value between 0 and 1 without rebooting the device
Hope this helps
I have to agree with vin5cent0, I bl**dy hate the WM SMS reply interface. It's _so_ ugly. I don't care for threaded SMS's though.
Maybe you'd like Vito SMS-Chat, vin5cent0?
I prefer the TF3d threaded interface over the windows mobile interface as well. However it only appears accessable by replying to a message on the messaging tab in TF3d. Any new message or other way of replying to a message brings up the older WM interface. I would like be able to use the TF3d threaded interface for all the ways you can send a text.
This is the first i've seen someone wanting to actually embrace the TF3d message interface. It's woefully inferior to the WM one for the following reasons:
1.) Lack of character counter for sending message
2.) No support for signatures
3.) Phone numbers aren't clickable
4.) URL's aren't clickable
5.) Stupid Soft Key for Sent isn't the same as WM messaging program and is back (without confirmation) instead of send resulting in lost messages
6.) Reply to: screen / threaded view TERRIBLY SLOW when you have a lot of messages - we're talking 10 seconds pauses sometimes when pulling it up or replying (I imported all my SMS from my old phone so I have 9k text messages currently...)
I'll take functionally over "prettiness" any day. If they can fix these issues, I'd use it again I suppose. For now I'm using the "zoom sms" hack to disable the TF3d reply to interface and it goes to the WM instead.

Changing the size of SMS font size

Hey all, I read over the forums a bit, and I saw quite a few threads about changing just the SMS font size, but not changing the rest of the System font sizes. I have figured out a way to do it for the tilt 2 for AT&T.
The font size is not really the issue when it comes to the SMS font. The issue relis on the zoom of the screen. The SMS screen for texting carry a different setting for zoom, and it saves it when you change it. If you want to change the size of the SMS font, simply increase or decrease the zoom of the screen. This will only affect the SMS texting screen, and not the rest of the system.
Hope this helps everyone ^_^.
Font Zoom
Thanks for that tip to increase the font size in my text messages. I don't even know how I reduced them--just, one day, I couldn't even read them without my magnifying glasses. This fixed it right up. I selected a text, scrolled the zoom bar and, BAM! Back to readable.

I have a verizon phone that is unlocked, using with at&t. My zoom bar does not work with sms. Do you have any idea how to get it to work. I am to the point that I need reading glasses to see the small SMS text size and yes I have it set to the largest size in wm6.5.

It should be in the clear type setting not sure exactly where it is tho
You can change the text size within your SMS messages by sliding the zoom bar under the screen. Just slide it to the right and all texdt will increase in size.
