Custom weather locations - Desire General

Now I know there is a way to do this on WM, but is there a way to add cities that aren't in the list through the Sense widget on Android?
Cheers fellas.

That I know of, you can't do that. I could be completely wrong, but you can only use what they give really :/

Anyone hear of a way to add your own city if not on the list?

[QUESTION] How to remove HTC Wallpapers?

Hello everyone
I need help on How to remove the HTC Wallpapers.. I have successfully removed the Wallpapers using Root Explorer but the folder option is still there.
How Do I get rid of the folder option??(circled in the picture)
+1
I've wondered the same thing.
I believe it is cooked into Rosie. Different launchers show different options for wallpaper selection.
I expect you would have to open up the Rosie APK with smali/baksmali stuff and change something.

Agreed. I wish all this stuff was more modular, instead of when you buy an android phone you have to not only pick carrier and hardware specs, but also if you want to be stuck with sense or blur or touch wiz or whatever.

Is it possible to put the original HTC Sense flip clock on stock android?

I want the animated flip clock/weather widget for my stock rooted g2. If anyone knows how to do that, it would be much appreciated. Please and thank you.
Well a search wouldn't hurt, would it? Anyways, just google Fancy Widget apk. You'll probably want version 1.3.0

Well if you read what i typed, i said ORIGINAL and i did do a search on this site and Google. Fancy widgets is ugly. Its nothing like the HTC flipclock. It probably doesnt even have animations.
I think you will find v1.30 is exactly the same as the htc flip clock. You was given the correct information. So instead of flaming someone that helped you, get over to 4 shared and download fancy widget v1.30 then come back here and apologize to this guy that helped you out.

Really if you want the exact flip clock the answer is no. You must use the sense Rom. HTC doesn't let developers make imitation clocks of their flip clock.
And you can't simply extract an file from sense, as the clock app is integrated with the ROM itself.

Yeah, thats what i was trying to do. Port it from the sense rom to the stock rom but it didnt let met install it. It needs the whole sense to run. Gotcha. ill check out fancy widgets 1.3.0. And i apologize for being snarky lol. all good now?
Cool
V1.30 will do the trick for you mate

I was wondering about this also. Upon research and a lot of googling, I think we can only use live wallpapers if we don't use HTC Sense but instead use other launcher app like Launcher Pro or Go Launcher EX. Haven't tested it though.

I believe the SuPrimo ROM has a link to an add-on that allows the battery percentage to be displayed on the top right. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1640995

does not have that option... if you want it really bad then you could try an alt lockscreen app like widget locker or golocker

[Q] Blink feed Htc Alternative App

Hey devs and android users! I'm new at this so I apologize if I've posted a New thread for nothing or it's in the wrong category
I have a htc one v and a galaxy tab 2 7" (GT-P113) and would like to know if there is any android app that can mimic the way sense 5 homescreen and lockscreen works on the new htc one, and just to be more specific I mean like the way you can see newsfeeds without widgets.
Does anyone know if there is such a thing?

try Flipboard

The closest you'll get is flipboard or currents on JB, using daydreams, while you're charging. The rest of the android world hasn't caught up. Technically, YOU'RE probably the leading knowledge right now on this subject.
Do you mean to say I have the leading knowledge on the subject?
u can try taptu or pulse news from play store
But do they have widgets?

Actually I'm looking for a live wallpaper that you can interact with as a social network feed for example, facebook, twitter, etc. But on a blank homescreen page. Does anyone know of such a thing?
Sent from my GT-P3113 using xda app-developers app
live wallpapers dont work like that
Then why are most live wallpapers interactive, there has to be a way to do this

You can try the feedly widget. I use it on my device to quickly run through headlines from my home screen. It can be resized and still looks good. If you're looking for social feeds, look online to see how to generate a RSS of your fb/twitter feed and add them to feedly.
I have used pulse and flipboard, both do pretty good job.

So... I started making such an app, after i heard my phone won't get the update to Sense 5. (HTC ONE S)
The app itself is going to be a launcher, similair to Sense 5 with Blinkfeed. But i'm not going to add news feeds and rss, Only social networks will be included.
More details coming up

so.ho launcher already does this
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
So.ho launcher hasn't been updated since December of 2013 so it is outdated. Also the benefit of having a launcher do what he is wanting as opposed to a widget is that it will look better. Exactly like what blinkfeed does. It is possible as HTC made sense 6 a launcher, so it is possible. And people don't ONLY want RSS feeds. I personally loved chameleon launcher but that was abandoned/sold.

I accidently froze/disabled HTC blinkfeed and now my phone will not load a Launcher. Can I flash the htc blinkfeed apk in recovery to fix this? I have a HTC Desire 816 running kitkat 4.4.2 and sense 6.0 (Stock)
Thanks

[REQUEST] Blinkfeed Widget

Hi I don't know if it was asked before but I would really like to see a Blinkfeed Widget. I used the "Blinkfeed App" Mod a bit and thought it would be great if I could put Blinkfeed at a Page and look it up from there. I don't know how possible this is so please don't hate me... I'm no developer. It's just an idea I thought may be good

Hate to stomp on your idea but it's not gonna happen unless HTC makes it.
They haven't even figured out how to disable it, so making it a standalone widget would be much more difficult

With "they" he refers to the rom developers/chefs.
And indeed they Blinkfeed cannot be removed (YET)
Some devlopers are actually trying to remove it (I heard team venom had it partially removed)
Though none have been completely succesfull yet..
For now all we can do is wait.
There is however a way not to use the blinkfeed as your homescreen in every sense rom.. just pinch out and select any other screen you want as a homescreen, then pull it to the "" set as homescreen" text and release
This effectively makes the other scren your sense homescreen and makes your blinkfeed seem like a widget..
There is already a blinkfeed widget, it's stuck on the left page though.

Try Pulse it has a widget, closest you can get.
