When I have locked my device and the screen is turned off and I press the volume rocker, it puts the screen on and changes the ringer volume. Can I disable this somehow? Very annoying since the volume rocker itself is very sensitive.
Try any of these : http://www.appbrain.com/search?q=volume+lock

Is there a way to make the volume rocker button change volume in smaller increments?
Thanks.
Assuming the application uses the "system volume" setting, you can adjust this more precisely by pressing one of the rocker buttons to get the volume screen up, then dragging your finger up and down the volume indicator column.
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knew a way to lock the volume rocker while the screen is locked. For instance, while I play podcasts, the phone is in my pocket. I accidentally hit the volume down, and have to remove the phone to turn it back up. Very annoying! A way to disable the volume rocker while the screen is off would be great. Many thanks!
anyone know of a way to mute the beep that is produced when the volume rocker is pressed?
I use nolock so i often press it to wake my screen up but it makes a beep and thats very annoying
Phone is rooted so if you have any tricks to change a file sound or anything lemme know
Is anyone else genuinely annoyed with the fact there is no volume lock option on this device? When I want to lower the volume with the rocker on say the lock screen, only the ringer volume goes down, and I have to click the gear icon to manually adjust the volume for the notificatons/media/etc.
I know there are manual volume profile apps/widgets out there, but maybe I'm just old school and want to use the rocker to adjust my volume down for all possible audio output at once.
Any workarounds known out there?
Hey, I want to completely disable my volume keys for any volume activities. I just want them to be power buttons. I generally use the inbuilt feature of AICP to wake from volume keys but sometimes it triggers the volume too. I want to remove that and only use it as power button no volume. Does anybody has any idea about how to do that.
