andorid install on all ppc WM5 / WM6 - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hi, I own a fujitsu Siemes pocket look T830 and would like to install android. As my old device I do not expect you to change the rom for this device, so I wonder if the hardware would support any of this ppc android and how I could do (roughly) to adapt an existing Rom (eg for some HTC) with slight modifications. Perhaps my request may seem silly or exaggerated, but asking never hurt anyone!
Thank you.

Possible for iPAQ h5550 WM5?

Hi...anyone can comment on this subject objectively.
I'm toying with the idea of putting together a ROM for my iPAQ h5550 with WM5. This is an excellent piece of hardware that HP decided to dump & moved on to other models.
Those of you who have managed to upgrade your devices to WM5, please advice me on the following:
What do I need to start with? I've the iPAQ h5550.
Is the hardware compatible? I read from some reviews that generally all X-Scale CPUs are acceptable. My unit has 128Mb RAM & 40 Mb ROM.
What software tools are relevant for this project?
Which ROM can I use as a base for the OS?
How do I get the drivers for the hardware to work in WM5?
That's all i can think of so far...would appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction...
Thanks!
the simple truth: No. There is no WM5 Rom Upgrade for this device. And i think it's absolutely impossible to build your own WM5...
TRY, IT WORKS
Want to try WM5.0 out for your self? I originally posted this on ipaqhq.com but I figured this forum is more of a target for such information . ...

Typhoon 7000XL upgrade and conversion

Hello,
I have a few questions about Typhoon 7000XL:
1. Is it possible to upgrade operating system from its original Windows Mobile 2003 Pro. second edition to WM5 or WM6?
2. Is it possible to change operating systems language from say German to English? if yes, how?
3. How to make a complete back-up before upgrading so that in case anything goes wrong, it can still be downgraded back to its original state?
I am new to this area and any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Typhoon 7000XL
Hi, My name is Hashim, and I am pleased to meet you in this forum.
Actually, I have a very simillar situation like yours with the Typhoon 7000XL. At the moment I don't have any solution to these problems, but I promise you if I get any, I will let you know.
Likewise, if you find any solution to those problems, I would be very appreciated if you could kindly let me know.
Best regards.
Hashim
all pda's are different
and cant share roms
if there is newer rom for the device it will likely
be on their site
or a site like this just for that range of devices

Waypoint 100 PDA WM6 possibility

Gurus,
I am a newbie and want to find out any possibility to upgrade mobile crossing waypoint pdas to WM6. Since I can not find any similar WM6 ROM as a base ROM, I want to combine the original bootloader in WM 2003 with Microsoft Standard ROM to try out.
Could someone here provide any guideline and introduce some tools that might be useful?
Thanks
the so called ms stadart rom cant be run on any device
it lack all drivers which have to be made and provided to it
with wm5 the driver model was changed meaning that wm2003 based
drivers dont really work
which is the reason why many devices never move from 2003SE
the tool used to add the drivers to the base os is called platform builder
and is only legal for people to have if ms gave it to them
people like htc hp and the likes
Thanks, Rudegar .
So chances for WM6 seem remote. Since what I really want is more memory for programs, I can still move some files from 2003 ROM to storage card.
Will the tools in wiki.xda-developers.com work for waypoint?
Will Tools for HTC chips work for waypoint?
Mainly, I want to remove some files and let the PDA has more memory for programs.
Thanks

Migrating from WM5 to WM6 on Japanese Sharp device

Hello,
I want to upgrade my Sharp S01SH, running OS 5.1.476.3 AKU 3.5.0, to WM6. From what I have managed to understand (mostly via machine translation from Japanese sites), this isn't as easy as with popular devices. Perhaps this is due to device specifics or something.
The Japanese operator Emobile offered owners of the S01SH a paid upgrade to WM6 and actually released a S01SH II, running WM6, a few months after the initial release, but there is no mention on how to do this yourself.
I am not deep into ROMs and flashing, therefore I am unable to decide what kind of ROM I need and why. I will appreciate any help and advice. Thanks!
-----
I have been looking at different ROMs but I still need expert help. Obviously, I do not need phone support, because the S01SH does not have a phone function.
Is my issue that alien to all the experts here? Please guys, just give me some directions!
I have visited nearly every Japanese website that Google returns for S01SH and read everything there - no mention of what ROM can be used.
The basics I know of: the official upgrade was to WM6 Classic Japanese. I can only rely on experts to tell me what I can possibly use and what I can't.
Please point me to a suitable ROM (no phone stuff needed because the Em One doesn't have a phone function, just HSDPA), and I will try to sort out the rest.

hp ipaq Hw6510, upgrade?

hello guys,
I was wondering if I could install the wm5 or 6 on a hw6510 that comes with
wm2003.
I´m new to this kind of devices and i don´t know where to start and also wanted to know how can i get the most of my pda: like apps, games, etc.
Probably what most catches my eye is hacking the device, maybe install
a linux distro (but i read that is not compatible somewhere).
Well i think that´s about it.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers from Spain!.
