i am new to android Rooting/Romming.
i would like to ask.
If i rooted my phone and got it to a Custom Rom Froyo 2.2, can i revert it to original Rom Eclair 2.1?
Thank you.

I'm currently the EE rom for 2.1. I want to upgrade to a 2.2 rom. Do I need to unroot first? If so is there a guide + 2.1 kernel available?
Is there anther way to get a 2.2 rom on my phone without reverting back to stock 2.1? Thanks
hi guys,
we all now ICS is coming to DHD soon..
and my DHD, is rooted so i need back to stock rom for ICS upgrade??
Yes and no. If you wanted the stock pics from HTC will release you have to go back to stock or install the ruu.(end with the same result). Or the better option install a custom from based of ics either aosp or something sense which ever you prefer
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA
iam return to stock rom over manual to root from behind succesfully
HI, I was on latest stock rom from GIO (Gingerbread 2.3.6 - I guess), and I upgraded to CM7.2 Jelly Bread custom rom (ROM OS Version: 2.3.x Gingerbread / ROM Kernel: Linux 2.6.x). Before I flashed the custom rom I made a (nandroid) Backup with CWM on the stock rom. now I decided to restore back the stock rom,
My question now is: Is it possible to just restore my backup with CWM and I'm back on stock rom? or I need to do something else? or maybe depends on CWM version???
Any Help Please
Thanks in Advance
