hey, i know people have pulled the apk for the launcher and it works great on nexus one and the evo. but it does not include the widgets. is their an apk that has the touchwiz launcher along with the samsung widgets? also i just downloaded the all galaxy s apks.
are the widgets in that?

I have installed some widgets and they do not appear in the widget list in any other launcher beside the stock TwLauncher. Any ideas why? thx
Touchwiz widgets only work with touchwiz launcher, because they require the touchwiz framework.
Unless someone ports them to use the standard andriod framework, they will not work with other launchers.

On my S2 I am using the S3 Launcher together with S3 Widgets.
I want to use the S3 Accuweather widget on a different launcher (like Apex) only can't select this Widget on Apex launcher.
Is there an APK to download so i can use this widget with other launchers?

Nope. You can only use it with the TW5 launcher.

Add the Calendar widget to this question as well. Only downfall of using a custom launcher as both of those are actually pretty nice widgets.
I'm looking for Accuweather apk also. I made this same thread in this same forum last week.
Accuweather widget looks great! I want this on my apex Launcher.

Touchwiz Calender Widget
Am really trying to get the Samsung Calender Widgets to work on APEX. And FYI, Nova sucks and crashes with themes, APEX has a lot more settings and is way better. Not sure where the widgets for the launchers are stored, im sure if we extracted the apk and placed it in the APEX launcher widgets it would recognize. Def a lot more difficult than it soundsd. Anybody have any progress on this

I'm looking for simply the clock/weather widget.
I use Nova Prime and don't want to change launchers or use all the functions and features I've got with Nova.
Is the widget dependent on touchwiz framework? Perhaps there is an independent .apk of the weather widget?
I am going to look for a themed UCCW widget.

Edit: I couldn't get the background images to ever display correctly after importing the uzip.... everything was as it should have been. Shame, looked like a keeper.
