Hi,
My phone has started going auto to loudspeaker when I make a call. Before it did not do this, how can I change this back as it's really annoying!
This happened to me skap. Don't know what caused it. I turned my phone off and on again... -problem solved! Haven't happened after that.

For me, this happens irregular and is often correlated whith previous usage of the speaker. If speaker is user in a call, it seem to me that if speaker is not deactivated before call ended, it still will be activated at the next call. But that is more of a speculation than fact.

Happened to me one time, realised the phone came out of screen idle as the proximity sensor was off the end of my ear, and I had pressed it with my face.

So when this phone first launched the proximity sensor was still active during bluetooth calls. most people hated it, for me, it was good. This kept the screen off while it was in my pocket on a bluetooth call. Now though with the newest ota the proximity is not active during a bluetooth call and the phone stays on in my pocket, and when i end the call it stays on as well. I searched trying to find a program that will turn off the screen while on bluetooth and maybe even re-lock it after the call ends if it was locked before the call but was unsuccessful. Anyone else have this problem, and maybe a solution?

Hi,
I've been using a DESIRE HD for a long time , suddenly an issue has cropped up
1) My phone automatically uses the speaker when i receive or make a call !
Any Idea why is this happening?
i had the same issue for the last few weeks. i couldn't find a fix so ive just got into a habit of hitting speaker as soon as i make or recieve a call (to turn it OFF speakerphone) But...
the issue has now developed! one i make/recieve a call, and turn off speaker, the speaker continues to flick on and off throughout my call, mainly as it moves, depends on the tilt of the phone during the call. its like an overly sensitive exaggeration of the "flip for speaker" feature, as it happens when its vertical. thing is, ive turned this feature on and off many times to try and resolve it, but it still happens!
has anyone got any ideas that might help???
thanx
Hi xda,
I have an issue where during a phone call i hear brief moments of silence whilst the receiver hears beeping, this happens around every 15 seconds and the duration of silence lasts around 2 seconds, it takes a good 10 seconds for the call to hang up.
I've checked the head phone Jack it seems clean and can play back audio flawlessly.
Running Pokemon charmeleon rom with franco kernel
Anyone else experiencing this problem?

For me sometimes when the headset is connected and I answer a call, there's no sound for a good 10-15 seconds and I keep saying "hello" like a retard and then I can hear the caller.
There is some sort of problem with headset compatibility for sure. Yesterday I was using this voice assistant called Skyvi with the headset attached, and after removing the headset my phone's mic wouldn't work at all! I had to restart to get my phone's mic working.
What I'm saying is there's a problem with headset detection or the software that makes the sound switch from the handset to the headset imo.
Further testing proves that this only happens when dialling out, not when the call Is incoming

Damn strange! It has happened on incoming calls for me for sure.
There was this another "retarded" thing the handsfree did when I first got the phone, on pressing the button(twice) to change the music track playing, it called the last contacted person. I kid you not, I happened to call two people like that. But never happened after that day.
I have the exact same problem with my HOX, I'm thinking it's a hardware issue, because I have tried different kernels (Franco, faux & stock) and different versions of Revolution ROM by Mike... My phones serial number begins with HT23RW...
This is when I use the handset aka. The phone itself without bluetooth or headphones connected...
I've been having microphone issues ever since I got my samsung gs3 a few weeks ago. People tell me that my phone sounds like it's on mute or that suddenly I'm faded away because people will say "hello? Are you still there?" Meanwhile I can still hear them fine. It happens on almost every phone call. However, when I use the speaker or my bluetooth headset then it works fine without problems. My phone is not on mute and I have turned of noise reduction and the option to mute phone when turning phone upside down.
Is this a known or common issue or does my phone need to be replaced through samsung warranty? I searched this forum and several other sites, but it doesn't seem like there is a fix.
Thanks.

When in a call, especially with some background noise, irregular call volume. Sometimes very low or absent, then suddenly very loud. Volume keys don't smoothly regulate. One click can make call volume. very loud. No, hearing aid setting is off. Anyone else notice this?

I do...but was gonna blame it on my Bose Bluetooth.

I have noticed that on every phone I've ever used. Landline, cell phone, it didn't matter. At work, our office phones are hit and miss with every call we take, even from the same people using the same phone. It's a connection issue, not a phone issue.
Fixed by increasing volume while on call to max, then min. Phone reset. Now, perfect. This was very likely software problem with noise canceling microphone.
