i want to send it to htc but i rooted the device, and i want to flash the original rom.

Nobody has a stock Orange UK ROM published anywhere that I've seen, sorry.
What's the issue?
if i have another 1 with orange rom installed, can i make a dump to the rom?
if yes, can you give me a link to how to do it?

Well I am trying to make a dump but I have got a bit stuck now with finding a compatible boot.img. I don't seem to be able to get any answers and I don't like the idea of just guessing!

Somebody plz help him he's our only hope at the moment for orange in rom
Even when you your, they still can see you rooted...so no warrenty, sorry

I think your only option is to try a generic ROM because that removes the root, the only thing is that it won't have the Orange mod.
If the process works then you should be able to re-root the phone and have everything working again anyway

If I flashed the orange rom it would remove the root.
So how would they know?
Just immerse it in water if its insured lol. Have another then

How about flashing an old generic unrooted rom and see if you get offered an OTA update by orange?
Biker, what's wrong with the phone itself? Is there physical damage something?
Sorry mate you can't find the Orange Rom any place I have the same problem

You should look at the modaco forum, but it is a french rom
http://android.modaco.com/content/htc-desire-desire-modaco-com/310003/orange-france-stock-system/
And it has English language

Mine went in after I debranded to the stock ROM and I wasn't charged as it was a hardware fault. You could try your luck with it.

My Phone came with the default asian ROM 1.19.707.7.
It's a SLCD phone.
and it worked perfrctly with it.
I have rooted the phone and now i want to go back to the factory ROM. but when i download the default 1.9.707.7 RUU ad installed, my screen gets bricked due to ROM not having SLCD drivers.
at last found a solution...
wht i did was, first installed the normal Desire Asian ROM. Yes it will brick your phone... then i used a card reader to put the Asian Froyo Update file to the sd card (Renamed as update.zip)
then i followed the SLCD bricked tutorials on how to install a Update to a SLCD brocked phone..
hope this will help....
Hi there, Got a desire which I rooted using goldcard method way back when I first got the phone (flashed it with stock HTC ROM to get rid of branding etc).
Now I have to send the phone back for a warranty repair and i'm not sure how to get back to stock rom. I tried using revoked3 to root it so I could install the orange ROM but had no luck (possibly due to the fact it was rooted via goldcard method as its carrier locked).
Would it be as easy as getting the orange ROM and just updating it normally? Or will I have to go through the whole tedious goldcard method again?
The big problem is that there isn't an Orange RUU available and, as far as I know, no-one has dumped it to install as an update zip.
If you did find it anywhere then you shouldn't need the gold card.

yeah I cannot find it anywhere!
At the moment, there isn't one.
Perhaps you should just flash the WWE RUU and hope orange dont ask questions
Unfortunately, you're in the same boat as all orange customers that have rooted....

And t mobile uk customers with slcd screens wwe ruu is the only way or my way which was to use an amoled ruu which blanked the screen so along with a new motherboard it also got a screen! Not that I did it intentionally mind! Sheer luck saved the day.

How do I unroot, restore default ROM, restore default hboot and go back to S-ON. Basically 100% stock since I need to send my phone back to the provider due to hardware issues. Many thanks.

Download and run the latest ruu. Check the Desire Index thread.

Actually, you need to download the latest RUU for YOUR Desire. Did you make a note of it before flashing a new ROM?
You can find everything in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696189
so flashing the ruu restores default hboot and S-ON?
Yes it does

Hi
When I tried H3G uk its saying ur phone ready to use but screen not working when i tried WWE(world wide english), it stated the customer id prob, install correct RUU.
You need a gold card for a non-3 UK RUU - sounds ike you have an SLCD screen and flashed an AMOLED RUU, hence the black screen
Out of interest, if you run available 3uk ruu and check for updates, won't it update it for you? Mine was 3uk before root and custom ROM, so might need this info at some point. Thanks

Yes, but if you can't see what you're doing it'll be hard to do it
I see what you mean lol. In old Nokia days we used to change language to Chinese on the friend phones. After having it done to me a few time I could change it back with my eyes closed. LOL

Not been able to find the stock Orange ROM myself. I'm still struggling to get past the rooting stage to get rid of my Orange ROM. I've followed the video tutorial but keep getting stuck at the CID error. How do you manage to get rid of the Orange bloatware on your device?
Hello. I have an issue. I want to install LeeDrOiD but before I do I want to find the stock ROM for my phone. I have a UK Three network phone and I'm having trouble trying to find a stock ROM incase my phone decides to screw up during the install of the custom ROM.
Can someone help me? I've had an issue in the past when I didn't download a stock ROM for my G1 and now it's eternally screwed.
I'd imagine it's one of these......

It's not on there. That's why I asked for help.
Are you sure your phone is branded, does it show you carriers logo on boot etc.?
Just do a nandbackup.

It was given to me by a Three Network engineer after I asked for a new phone. As far as I know it's a three phone. It comes with the three software onboard.
I'll probably do a nandbackup.
Thanks.
You do not need a backup / the stock rom because the 2.3.3 RUU should be accepted in case of warranty (at least HTC accepts it).
im on three uk also here. yours would be one of these if you was in froyo:
http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph..._32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_124822.exe
or this
http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...8.00.32U_5.11.05.14_release_149217_signed.exe
if you upgraded 2.3.3 than just get it from the HTC website
