How can I tell where my Desire is from

I have an unlocked HTC desire (Grey Color) that I bought in Dubai. How would I be able to tell if this is a European version that is supposed to get the Froyo update releasing shortly?

Branded or not?

Hi guys. I just got a new HTC Desire that was supposed to be unbranded. There is no brand splash screen when I turn it on, but there are some O2 configurations on the phone (like o2 mail, and o2 scene).
I found out that the software version (1.20.207.3) is actually a o2 branded version. I also find out that I got a SLCD Desire, if that matters
The problem is that I didn't get any Froyo update on System Software Updates. Do you have any ideia why? And is it positive that my phone is branded even without the splash screen?

I think o2 pulled their ota again because some desire became bricked. If you want there are links to manually download the update.

[Q] htcsense.com - Dashboard only on branded phones?

Hi,
on my T-Mobile branded Desire HD AND on my GFs T-Mobile branded Sensation we can only see the Dashboard when logging in to htcsense.com.
On the unbranded Desire Z of my colleague i see way more and could edit the phonbook, see the sms and so on.
HTC sais that there is no differrence in htcsense.com between branded and unbranded phones but i don't think so.
Is it right that htcsense.com is only complete when you own a unbranded phone?

HTCSense.com is broken since January, and the lazy tech crew at HTC seems to be unable to fix it. The behavior you are experiencing is not normal, but it is not rare either

Okay i read that in other forums too but why is on the unbranded DZ of my colleague everything fine!?

Some of you may remember the first XTC Clip by raskal, which allowed you to network unlock and s-off older htc models back in the day
The xtc 2 clip is based on JAVA Card technology and supports unlock and s-off of many new handsets.

Main Functions
Sim unlock or lock a phone to a specified network with your own unlock code
Repair IMEI (IMEI 2 for dual sim phones)
Repair CID (Country ID used for firmware region lock)
Repair MEID (for CDMA area phones)
Change security level (S-ON/S-OFF, allows you to run unsigned code, perform service actions, etc)
Many other functions you may need time-to-time.
