tmous shows 3g connection but no internet - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

yesterday the internet connection on my phone seemed to have stopped working. While the phone shows that it is connected to tmobile 3g, whenever i try to access anything requiring data (twitter, opera, etc) i simply get whichever error is associated with that program saying it cannot connect. I have tried several different radios and still get the same errors. however, everything seems to work over wifi.
I was using NRG's maxsense from june 12 when this problem started yesterday, have flashed to the june 26 cookie ROM from NRG and the problem persists.
I have also tried a few different apn's for tmous as well as turning off 3g.
using only EDGE seems to alleviate this issue.
any help would be appreciated.

does restarting the 3g connection work at all? this is a problem with at&t periodically, resetting usually but not always works. when it doesn't I call tech support and the very act of them looking at my account seems to fix the problem.

Edge/3G Problem (Cingular)

As of a few days ago my EDGE/3G connection stopped connecting. All the settings are correct, even re-entered them manually a few times, still get the 'cannot connect' error, even though signal strength is more than adequate.
Even stranger, however, is when I use a .cab to automatically inject the settings everything works fine for a matter of minutes, then the connection problems resume.
Running CUSTEL's 2.5, problem started a couple weeks after the flash, and the only thing I have installed since is the Palm Threader, which makes no sense that it would be the culprit.
So this is not a WM6 issue correct? Its an issue with you messing up your connection settings... WRONG THREAD
Pardon me, it is not an issue with my settings, as I said in the first post even if I use a Settings Cab to inject them the data connection still quits after a few minutes even if i have not changed any settings. This never happend with WM5 and it is the first time it's happened with WM6, I would take it into a Cingular store, but I'm concerned the reps would see WM6 and just nullify any support.
Need more info to diagnose. What apps are you experiencing the problem in? Which cingular plan are you on? Which cab did you use to inject the settings.
There is some problem with the lastest wm6 roms for using cingular and pie if you are on the isp plan. Make sure your DNS is hard coded and it will fix it if its the same problem. Seach the forums and like most probs you will find your answer.
connection problems
just to let you know I have been having trouble connecting I connect and then get kicked off I had to use the isp connection settings my friend works for them and he told me it had to do with towers and the cingular and att thing
Edge and 3G
cingy had issues today had the same issue earlier all better now
yeah pure data access seems to be going alright, but for some bizarre reason i can't send/receive email without a synch error (will have to see if this relates to the Palm SMS Threader app though).
thanks guys.

No GPRS after Wifi use

Lately I've been having a problem with my hermes where if I have the Wifi on for any amount of time after turning the wifi off the phone will not allow mt gprs to connect and the data icon in the comm manger is grayed out. Ive tried resetting my connection settings and soft resets work some times, a hard reset seemed to have done the trick but then it happened to me again this evening. I would just skip using the wifi but the reception in parts of my house can be spotty at times and I really don't want to miss my emails and such.
Any insight would be appreciated.
btw I'm running the latest version of LSVW and I have a cingular branded device.

No signal, T-mobile, WCDMA

So i rooted my phone over a week ago, and tried out many different roms. Everything was going fine, until i noticed yesterday that i kept losing voice and data connection. I tried updating to the latest radio which was out today 5.09.00.20, but still have the issue.
The only workaround i've found so far is to set the network mode to GSM only. But obviously it's not very practical for a phone like the desire. When i have it on GSM/WCDMA Auto, it keeps voice and data on for about a minute, then i lose it. And when it's on, i still can't make any calls. But i can make and receive calls fine on GSM only.
Anybody have a clue what's going on here? I tried calling T-Mobile, but they were as useless as always. Apparently there was an issue on the 29th, which is now resolved, and they refreshed something on my profile. So i dunno if rooting/flashing my Desire has caused this or if it's some network outage.
I'm currently running the latest DeFrost rom. I've tried SenseFroyo (Opendesire), LeeDroid & i'm now running the official 2.2 sense rom.
I've also been having problems when connected via 3G for the past few days, but only when I'm at home (so I think it's a specific cell). The signal indicator shows a good signal but attempting to use the internet over 3G just times out, and my voice calls keep getting dropped.
Like you I can work around the problems by switching to GSM only.
I think it might not be a problem with my phone though, because I've tried putting my SIM card in my Nokia N95 and the internet doesn't work over 3G on that either (internet works using GSM on N95). I did manage to make a call on my N95 when my Desire was dropping both incoming and outgoing calls within seconds though.
Weird! I'm going to give it a few days and report it to T-Mobile if it's still happening.
It's fixed for me now. I guess it was a network outage

[Q] Wifi issues

Hey guys,
So all of a sudden, my wifi is searching and not connecting in a campus setting. My Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 is still connected to the same wifi my Note 4 was. I have tried rebooting, removing battery, shutting off and on data and wifi, and airplane mode. Nothing reconnects it. Also tried forgetting all networks since there are 5 when searching for networks it finds and reconnecting to one, still no dice. It's been 4 hours, still can't reconnect. Any ideas?

Have you tried to forget the network and then ADD it with + Add Wi-Fi network? I actually had an issue playing with a Galaxy note 10.1 2012 edition, I turned my hotspot (sprint note 4) on and named it the same as our current network (was showing how open networks aren't always the network they say and anybody can create a Starbucks-Guest network.... I used starbucks-guest because I didn't want to put my schools on here). The tablet didn't see the network even after reboots, but when I added the network manually it connected right away. Also was this connecting to the same access points or different ones on the other side of campus?
Yep tried forgetting, re-adding the wifi spot and nothing.
I've been having wifi connection issues since day one of getting this phone.
Not sure if I have the same problem.
But at least once a day, it seems the phone can no longer make a connection to my wifi.
The only solution is to either just power off the phone and restart or do what Sprint asked me to do.
Sprint said to try and reset the network connection information by dialing ##72786#
The phone will power off and then restart do some background stuff and then power off again and restart.
Once that is done, all is fine.
I've never had this happen on any other of my Android devices. I even use a static IP with my phone setup.
And yes, I have tried just using the default of DHCP.
I had thought it was my router (Asus RT-AC68U) which transmits both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. I have both setup and I try to use 5ghz the most.
I did upgrade the router software because I was one version behind, but that did not fix anything.
Also, I had a Sprint femocell in my house (provided for free from Sprint) because I had bad signal issues years ago.. But because this phone uses LTE and now it seems the phone comes with built-in WiFi Calling. (Means instead of using the cellular network it will use my network and ISP to make Sprint calls, all voice and text messages come through normally, it's basically a built-in femocell).
I returned that, whoops still in the box, need to get that mailed out fast.
I'm not sure how widespread this issue is, but I suspect it's bigger that just the two of us here. And if I'm in the wrong thread, please let m know.
Thanks
Rob

WiFi connected-internet unavailble

I have a peculiar WiFi issue in my office where I can connect to the router, however, I immediately receive a message: "internet unavailable". I am using latest stock T-Mobile ROM. 5.01, Build 20E. Other phones have no problem like my Nexus 5 or other people's iphones. Also, I am running a dualboot partition with a nightly on the same phone and it works fine in Cyagenomod.
I've tried this app: WiFi Doctor, and it finally worked until I went out of the office for a few minutes. When I came back I was at square one and what's worse, WiFi Doctor couldn't cure it any longer.
Anyone? Hello? I'm pretty sure there are a few smart people out there.
T-Mobile G3 stock ROM, Android 4.4.2, build D85110m, encountered the same problem in my office. Likewise, no issue with an old Samsung or iPhones.
From what I've manged to find on the internet, IPv6 or the MTU setting might be a contributing factor.
This isn't a fix per se, but voodoo steps of forgetting the network, switching off wifi, switching on wifi, re-connecting to network (staying on the Wi-Fi screen and waiting to see that it connects) works sometimes. Sometimes it fails and tries to re-obtain an ip address and it works after it re-tries several times. All this while I would be on the Wi-Fi screen watching it.
Occasionally, rebooting the phone helped for a while.
All the boxes under Advanced Wi-Fi are unchecked for me.
My G3 is not rooted, so I've not tested to see if disabling IPv6 or changing MTU fixes it. If you (or anybody else) do test it, I'd appreciate it if you could post your results.
