The coreplayer/tcpmp/kinoma all plays H.263 flash videos fine but none can play the H.264 videos. Is there a decoder that i can download to get it to work?

Yep! And x264 decoding takes a lot of horsepower, something the excalibur is not known to have too much of... lol
h.264 will run in the current version of coreplayer, but don't bother trying to play it. I tried playing a movie that was made for my buddies G1 and it was jumpy as hell (even though the audio came in cleanly) just stick with .xvid and .avi with mpeg2 and mpeg4
As far as I know CorePlayer doesn't support mpeg2...

What are you using to edit your videos? I normally use my mac's imovie program but the evo video format isnt compatible. Any one trying anything I should know about?
I would think adobe premier pro/elements would work...
Is there any programs to edit video on the EVO??

The EVO seems to play WMV, so maybe Windows Movie Maker. Might be worth a shot. It's free anyway...

The OP is a real n00b asking stupid questions and probably not even heard of using Google to find answers
I use the program iSquint on my mac. Though its only for videos i want on my ipod touch.
You can download Vplayer or Rockplayer to play almost all formats of video. I personally like Rockplayer.

Hey,
has anyone tried to play 720p movies/clips on the DHD? It would make sence to be possible but so far, i've tried a lot of players and no luck there. Vplayer get pretty close but the playback is still jerky.
Ideas?
I use vplayer aswell but you have to change the vidoe quality setting from speed to quality. It smooths out the movie and runs pretty good
try rockplayer
im using it and its never lagged when playing 720p videos...

I've yet to see a player that can handle .mkv files.
Due to VPlayer becoming commercial (after the dev promised 'forever free') I will suggest QQPlayer.
