I'm wondering if anyone else is having trouble syncing their calendar with google. My Desire hasn't synced calendars for hours now, and opening "Accounts and Sync" in Settings shows "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly."

I'm thinking the "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." part is a good indication of what the problem is.
It only has issues with Calendar tho. Still unable to sync here; you guys?
Just forced a sync of calendar to check and it had no issues whatsoever.

Hey guys I am having a problem getting my calender to sync with Facebook. All the contacts are synced over but none of the event are there. In the menu/setting on calender i see a spot to add a calender but when you go to that all you can do is cancel out of it. Is there any known fixes for this or anyone else experiencing this besides me?
hi,is anyone have issues with google syncing accounts such as contacts,weather etc on their desire?I've been trying to update them all morning but kept getting the following message "sync is currently experiencing problems.It will be back shortly".I'm in the Uk, using an unbranded and unrooted phone running an official android 2.2 froyo.
I have the same problem with contacts not doing the sync. I changed an e-mail address in a contact on my desktop browser yesterday, and when I wanted to e-mail that contact from the phone I still had the old address. I tried to sync, but no changes.
Anyone else? I think this is a long time issue for me, had problems with calendar sync too, wondering if there is anything to be done (except wait for gingerbread and hope that fixes it).
Stock, unbranded froyo.

I 've got an HTC Desire and I recently rooted it flashing the Leedroid HD v.3.3.3 port R5 ROM. Everything is perfect except the calendar app of HTC. After trying to sync my gmail with the calendar I found out that the app could not be synced.
I can see all notes and reminders of the calendar when I log in to my gmail account but I can find nothing to the calendar app after syncing it with the gmail. Everything is OK with e-mails and contacts of gmail. The only problem is the calendar. How can it be? Does anyone have any idea how I can solve this problem? Thanks.
Could my problem be a bug? Anybody with same problem? Any ideas how I can solve it?

It has been like this all day and I have tried unchecking and rechecking autosync. I have also press the button that says sync all. Still getting the same message.
Any idea what may be happening or what I can do? Thanks.

yes it is. I think I got it figured out. Under manage accounts the message was popping up for Twitter, but none of my other accounts. When I click on twitter, Sync Twitter was working perfectly, it was Sync Contacts (twitter contacts) that wasn't. I unchecked sync contacts and no more error.
I didn't really want my Twitter contacts to show up under my phone contacts anyway.

Since purchasing the G3, I've noticed my contacts haven't been syncing. It shows "sync error" "Sync is currently experiencing problems, It will be back shortly." since 7/11/2014 which was the day the phone got released to AT&T. Everything else syncs perfectly fine, though.
Two of my google accounts have this problem.
Anyone knows how to fix this?

did you try to uncheck and recheck contacts? maybe remove and add the accounts?
