Due to an upgrade to a Kaiser, I have the following for sale:
TWO O2 Branded XDA IIs - One complete, one lacks stylus - Both are UNLOCKED.
One, my spare second one - the battery *may* be faulty. The reason I have two is that I had issues with it rebooting when i first got it, O2 sent a replacement and neglected to send a return bag . It ended up that it seemed to be the battery, so I used the original handset but the replacement battery, and I slung the replacement handset and original batt in a drawer. After rooting it out of the drawer (where it had lain for a couple of years) the battery seems to work fine and power was still over 84%. I will run it some to check. Maybe I was just being a noob or the backup battery hadn't charged.
Both handsets have some minor wear on the corners but otherwise are fine. No loose sliders etc. The rubber cap over the headphone socket on the main one is starting to split.
Also, there is a GlobalSat BT-338 SirfStar III Bluetooth GPS unit. I should have the wall charger lying around somewhere lol, I never used it though, I always used the car charger (Which I definately have and is included). A really great unit.
Also, there is a windscreen sucker mount for the XDA. Just a cheapo halfords one, but it fits perfectly and doesn't obstruct power or headphone sockets.
Also included is a retracting mini-sync cable - USB one end, custom XDA connector the other. Get a car lighter -> USB adapter (No! You can't have mine!) and leave that in your car, then you can use the mini sync you keep in your pocket with any PC or in your car to charge or transfer files.
Also included is a 1GB SD card. It is Integral branded card, it shows no speed but it seems to have enough bandwidth to play DivX off the card
Also included are two cradles - one for work, one for home
There should be two holsters, but I mislaid one the other day, I am sure it will turn up lol.
Would anyone be interested in the job lot? May split the 2nd phone off for a spares sale, but would rather sell the lot as one.
I can provide pics, I will need to bring the 2nd cradle from work, and see if I can find the missing holster / GPS wall charger first...
I live in the UK, but I suppose I would consider sending elswhere in europe. Would be unwilling to send to Nigeria even if were is for £10,000
Offers please
I think you will get your best deaL on on ebay here.
I suggest you list them separately
Might be interested in bidding on the spare one...

I have a few questions about MT accessories.
1. Has anyone tried the FM music kit If you have does it have decent enough sound (something for maybe if your just sitting at the beach and don't need it insanely loud but dont want to use headphones) or is it distorted and "messy" sounding
2. Have you tried the power play fm transmitter and if so does it work well or is there a lot of scratchiness no matter what station you have it on and does the charging function of it work
3. And lastly I'm looking for opinions on the spare batteries (not chargers) you can get off ebay, are they actually the same thing or is it somehow going to do damage to my phone. I really need to have a spare but I'm not going to pay the $50 t-mo asks for one
Haven't tried any FM accessories. But as far as batteries go, make sure to get an OEM one made by HTC, there's a couple on ebay for under 20 bucks. Those knockoffs for 8 bucks can ruin your phone or leak and such. There's another thread on here somewhere about using a battery from the HD2 or the Droid Eris. Personally I'm waiting for an extended battery either from HTC or someone reputable like Seidio. But not one that makes the phone any fatter.

Has anyone seen a charging cradle for the Slide yet? Atm I am using a N1 cradle that I modified with my trusty Dremel tool so my Slide would fit.
My phone sits by my computer most of the time, and with my HTC Mogul, then HTC Touch Pro, then EVO 4G I've bought a combo cradle/battery charger. I haven't seen one mentioned available here for the Epic 4G Touch and I just found/bought one on eBay and thought I'd mention it for others interested in a device like this. Once I receive the item I can post a review if you guys would like.

This looks like the one I had for my Touch Pro 2... it worked nicely and was cheaper than the official docks.
I am interested in your impressions as well.
thanks
Question for anyone that has purchased this dock..
Have you been able to charge your phone with any type of case on it? Thanks.
Just a quick update. I got the charger, but I don't have an Epic 4G Touch yet. The first seller I bought the phone from ended up being from a scammer. I gave the dock/charger to a friend, and bought another one that's already here. I should have the Epic 4G Touch from another seller here by Tuesday and will post my impressions soon after.
Damn, sorry to hear that..
Ok guys...
Im also looking at desktop cradles and found this other one:
From an Amazon vendor:
$22 (includes shipping):
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005OTXKK4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A3CZ5XR3PIAJMS
It's basically almost the same design as the one the OP linked to. What do you guys think?
I kind of wanted one that you could rest the phone in and charge it with a cover on, but I don't think that's gonna happen.

I think this one is better because you can turn your dock on its side like if you were watching Sprint TV...

This one looks nice, but some of the reviews for this brand (for other phones) mentions it covers up the speaker so when the phone is docked the sounds are silenced since the speaker is at the bottom. Although this may be true for all these 3rd party docks.
It's cool, Paypal resolution against the scammer just resolved today and they sided with me and already credited my PayPal account.

For that other cradle from Amazon, though you probably can put it on its side I'd be concerned with the side buttons/hitting the desk and possibly being pressed in, and possibly the device itself slipping out. The other concern I have with that model is that I can't clearly see the extra battery charger compartment. The one I got should accommodate extended batteries, but I can't tell on that model.
Found this one... similar

it looks like the one from Amazon just a different brand.. it also covers the speaker so I wonder if you can hear the alarms or music... there may be enough room behind the actual phone to allow the sound to be heard, but it doesnt look like it.
Quick first impressions:
* Feels solid and fits snugly, so pay attention when docking the phone in as it aligns only one way.
* When no battery is in the battery charging slot there's a LED that flashes crazy fast green/red which may bother some people. You can always cover it up with electrical tape. I don't notice it most of the time since my phone blocks the LED anyways when docked.
* A significant negative and quite surprising difference in the dock compared to the docks I had for my EVO 4G / Touch Pro and Mogul are that this dock only has one USB slot. So it either charges the battery and phone from a wall plug or it charges the battery and connects/charges the phone via your computer's USB port. My previous phone docks had 2 USB connectors, one for the battery and one for the phone. I haven't tried connecting this to my computer or charging an extra battery yet but I'm figuring trying to charge two things at the same time via one USB cable, especially when connected to a computer USB port would not be very efficient.
Update 12/09/2011: Argh, deal breaker, just got my Trexcell 3800mah Extended Battery, but because of the location of the battery contact on the battery and dock it won't fit, .
Killabee and talynone
that second black dock is the one I am interested in. my PRIMARY concern with docks that use the charging jack on the phone (whatever happened to dedicated dock "contacts" on phones Cheap SOB's)
is that I want the phone IMMOBILIZED while in the dock. ie I don't want to be able to TILT the phone forward while in the dock "stressing and breaking" the usb jack on the phone.
IE I want the dock to RESTRICT the movement of the phone to vertical only (insert remove dock connector type motion)
the first dock in this thread would NOT prevent the phone from tilting forward.
the second one I am not sure about. do those sides "wrap" around the edge of the phone enough to restrict its movement to a solid slide and NO forward slop?
Here is a video of what I mean. (its processing give it a few minutes to process)

nerys71,
I saw your video and can tell you that the phone in this dock is not restricted from tilting. So yes it will tilt while charging. I am talking about this dock:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005OTXKK4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A3CZ5XR3PIAJMS
ahh pity. I assume you have it? does the phone protrude past the front "AT ALL" in that dock? IE it looks like it would be friendly to modding it with 2 "lips" on the front to prevent the phone tilting.
Yeah I have it. It doesn't pertrude at all. The phone sits flush.
need recommendation for a good BT Headset.
i'm a student so my budget ain't high but i do need a good one with noise cancaletion so people will be able to hear me outside
What is your actual budget? I'd recommend Blueant: the V1x if money is really a concern. If you look at the stats the V1x is just the surplus V1 that they had in case people needed warranty replacements down the road so you can usually find it for a bit less: around $30 if all you get is the earpiece and the charging cable.
You can get the original V1 or the x with all the extra ear hooks and the inserts as well as car charger for about $55 and $40 respectively.

http://www.amazon.com/BlueAnt-V1X-C...F8&qid=1345139692&sr=8-1&keywords=blueant+v1x
looks small as hell...
my budget... 30$~40$
It's just the right size. Do you want a huge, weighty thing dangling from your ear? As I said you can get it for about $30 if all you get is the headset and USB charger. I think it's worth it for the inserts because you can leave it in your ear without the hook, but that's a matter of preference I suppose.
I recommend anything by PlanTronics that fits in your price range. I've always had good luck with their headsets and keyboards (seriously).

Ditto! I was about to say the same thing. :good:
DELL BH200 Bluetooth 2.0 Stereo Headset:good:
sorry to hijack thread, but along these lines, what's a good budget solution for bluetooth for calls in your car that's not a headset. I think there was a motorola device that clipped on to your cars sun visor. Anyone have any recommendations? I have just found headsets somewhat awkward.
I think I have an almost new planetronics Bluetooth headset. It was really nice, I bought it as a gift for my stepdad.
Shortly after that he got the Blue Parrot 250 something or other, it's made for truck drivers and heavy equipment operators and things like that and it suited him better.
I'll see what the model on the planetronics one is and if I can easily lay hands on it I might sell it to you cheap.

Well the jawbone icon hd is a good headset but out of your budget

I've found that having a cheap backup (ordered mine online from China with free shipping) can save your bacon if your primary one dies on battery at a critical moment. The backup may not have the same quality, but if you're in the middle of a hands-free call, you'll have something to fall back on. My backup bluetooth battery seems to hold its charge for months at a time, so its not a big issue if you use it infrequently.
I have a SE x10MP and Im thinking of buying a BT stereo headset (NOT an earphone with a microphone) just for music listening.
I want to something which is just earbuds connected by a short cord, since Im going to use it a gym, so I dont want the cord getting tangled in equipment.
Any suggestions for specific models AND for shops which accept international orders?
TIA
I've had a few in the last year..
a Sony pair with very bad volume thing that always shifted when in my pocket and a clip that broke after week 3, good battery though but in addition I couldn't charge it and use it at the same time either.
A Samsung pair that has appalling clip and battery life (not recommended either)
By for the last 3 months I've used a Nokia bh-111. Very sturdy clip which doubles as a lanyard clip, good solid buttons and overall I'm fantastically happy with them. It will work when on charge so when I get home I pop then on the desk, plug in my speaker less+charger and start cooking diner .. highly recommended but I just warn that I only get aprox 7-8 hours continual use. (So sometimes I turn it off in an office day)
tnx. looking at nokia WS, the cord on bh111 seems way too long. I might as well stick w the stock corded earbuds which came w my x10mp.
any suggestions for a headset where the earbuds are connected with a short cord?
TIA

ive been using the same one (nokia by-111). works very well. but then again, i have my galaxy s3 configured to my car stereo and that works great also.
The headphones that came with my bh111 are slightly too short for my phone to rest on the bottom of my pocket. Personally I use normal high quality and long called stuff in the end.
Enjoy clipping the bh111 to my pocket so long suits me ok
thanks for the replies.
Im planning to use the earphones in the gym, so I need something where the earbuds are connected with a short as possible cord to avoid it getting tangled. I want a cord since it can b easily packed into a small pocket or a bumbag. those "arc" type headphone r too big.
any suggestions?
TIA
