Hi everyone,
I just used the handsfree earpiece. Found that the outgoing call sound is in danger loud, almost defeaning. During the call, I press the side up/down button, but it helps little, even it's at lowest volume. If I listen to the music, everything is prefect. Volume can be changed easily.
My ROM: RUU_Rhodium_S2_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.07.707.1_Radio_Rhodium_4.49.25.91_Signed_Ship from HTC South East Asia.
I went through the fourm last night, found similar problem happened on HD2, and until now there is still not a 100% working soultion on it.

Hi, I didn't found any similar problems, so I start new thread.
I have LG KS20 and changed some ROMs on it, but the problem remains the same.
When I call somebody or somebody calls me, he hears strange sounds similar to if I'd be near some big speakers, not echo, but you know, when you put the phone near audio speaker, you hear these sounds. After about 10 seconds it becomes silent and almost gone. I think it has something to do with inner microphone and speaker, I should say the microphone is overboosted, so when I get in call, it after 10 seconds automatically controls itself quiet, but when a new call, it starts over again. However I didn't find in registry anything related with mic gain control, I should try to minimize it's boost at first.
Do you have any thoughts how to fix that strange sound?
I have the same problem,
Does someone know a solution
And I have that problem, did anyone tried with handsfree is it same or is it better?
I should try that soon, also I will maybe try to clean mic somehow...
Anyone help?
Hi There,
I have Xperia ARC S. It's working fine with me. but i have a concern regarding the external speaker (loudspeaker).
The external speaker works quite fine for music, and ringing tones. but when it comes to voice calls, I can barely hear ... this is a bit confusing, as if the external speaker has a problem, it would affect the ring tones as well...
I am asking if anyone has experienced the same problem as mine... and if it has a fix or an explanation.
Thanks alot,
Gano
Have you tried pressing the 'up' volume rocker button when on speaker, in-call?
yes... pressed it to the maximum ... but didnt help
Hi guys, I did a search in this Arc forum for In ear Speaker problems and couldn't find anything, so I chose to start a new thread. Just know I DID try to find info for this phone but I only found a few other threads about different phones.
My in-ear speaker does not work in calls. It is extremely quiet, as if the volume is turned all the way down. Thing is, I try turning up the in-call volume during a call and it does nothing. But the weird thing is, I went into the service menu to test the hardware (using the *#*#7378423#*#* trick) and tested the in-ear speaker and it works fine! Loud and clear! But then immediately following that I'll try a call and still will hear practically nothing. Putting the call on speakerphone allows me to hear the other party, as well as putting in a headset, so I am stumped. Tried pulling the battery and have rebooted the phone many times and the problem is still persisting.
AND, on top of ALL of that, the damn thing was working just fine the other day. I switched to this phone last week and have been making calls successfully being able to hear the other party just fine. But suddenly today it's deciding to not work in a call. This is really weird.
Has anyone else had this problem? What else can I try to fix it? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
EDIT: Blah a hard reset fixed it. Feel free to delete this post mods!
So this has been an issue for a long time and I can't seem to find a solution. Whenever I send an audio message on whatsapp the volume on it is pretty low even if I literally put my mouth on the mic, using an external mic (the one that comes with the handsfree headset) seems to somehow fix the problem, but I don't use them a lot so I find myself just speaking really loud and with my mouth as close as possible to the mic which is annoying. Is there any way to fix this?

Can you tell me what did you do?
I'm having the same problem now
I've had the phone for about 20 months and i never experienced this till today
I would like to know too if there is a fix.
I have been having low in-call volume for about a month. (LG G3 D856)
The earpiece plays loud enough when listening to voice messages on Telegram/WhatsApp but during the call it's too low
I have tried installing custom ROM, downgrading to official KitKat with full wipe. No way.
Can anyone help with it. I am quite sure its a software issue as on other apps the earpiece functions quite well.
P.S. I habe already tried turning on/off Voice Clearity, Voice Enhancement. No change
Hope someone can help with it
I had similar problems with my wife phone d855, and also few HTC old phones. It looks like combination of dust and all other things that has a contact with that part of phone completely fill small net on ear speaker.
This usually helps:
Use old toothbrush, put few drop of alcohol on it and gently tapping on net. Keep tapping minute or two. You will see results..
Advice: disassemble whole phone, and remove speaker to avoid broking speaker, but not necessarily.
In my situations, I get over 200% louder sound. Almost unbelievable..
