Just started having problems with my browser. Whenever I load a page the status bar gets to halfway and the browser just hangs. If I then stop and refresh the page loads. Any help please.

This has happen to me a couple of times when using mobile data, the only way I found to fix the problem was to reboot the phone.
A couple of times this has happened to me, I usually disable radio (airplane mode on and off) usually cures it, or if that doesn't work, clear the cache.
Rebooted and now ok. Thanks

I have been using my note2 quite heavily putting it through the paces. I have the unrooted stock AILH rom running.
For some reason it random reboots and gets quite annoying.
When this happens I am heavilt using the following apps and switching back and forth:
Google maps
Chrome with 20 tabs
Connectbot for ssh
A filemanager with sftp
Gmail
...and a few other apps
Anyone else experiencing this?

Same problem here, unrooted phone.
I did 3 factory reset and nothing. The random reboot is still on.
Sometimes from the gallery and from google play..
I don't know what it is. I havent been able to pinpoint the issue.

Who else has this?
Searched like crazy, and only found a few guys on Google with this exact issue on the S3 specifically.
My Setup
i747m, ICS 4.0.4 Stock Rogers Rom, XDA Premium v2.2.1
How to Reproduce:
Whether I open the app and navigate to the PM tab, or if I set the app to automatically go to the PM Tab upon first launch, the app will freeze between 0-2 secs into loading the PM list...and on average, the app will do this 3 of 5 times. If it doesn't freeze, then it keeps working fine until it gets kicked out of ram.
How to recover from the freeze/crash:
- I then have to escape by pressing the MENU and WAITING 2-3 secs.
- then I either restart it, or have to KILL it first with my Task Manager.
Testing
I tried all the usual tricks, including uninstall/reinstall, clear data/cache etc., and I played around with all the settings.
UPDATE: Nov 29...crashes more often than not randomly both on data and wifi.
Wait... Solution.... Installed TAPATALK... Even better and includes the xda features.
BUT, it seems to freeze at XDA PM tab too...not as much so far and somewhat recoverable.
I give up. At least it's working 9/10 ti,es now.
Yea I also have a problem where the app gets super laggy then I get the message "unfortunately xda premium has stopped" I did a google search for it also and came up nothing!

Mainly happens with Facebook (have locations disabled but still turns on the GPS and tries to get a lock)
Randomly the GPS will try to get a lock (or even get one) and stay on, even after the application that was using it is closed... Have tried using terminal to stop the location service and doesn't do anything...
Anyone found a workaround for this (besides the normal rebooting)... It started to eat the battery like crazy when it does this

I have this same problem. My solution was to stop using the Facebook app as it is the only one that causes me the problem.

I've had the same problem with the Facebook app, I suggest turning the GPS off from the pull down bar before entering the app all together

My phone reboots when I pull down the notification bar and tap new Gmail message notification. Phone is rooted and unlocked running stock zv9. Only happens with Gmail notification, all others open fine. Gmail opens when I use Gmail app, only problem is through notification bar.

Rooted & unlocked stock ZV9 here. You might want to try doing a factory reset through the menu. There very well may be an easier solution to this specific problem, but I am confident that this issue will be resolved by doing the reset.
Mine had a similar issue and many small annoying bugs after flashing ZV9 update. I finally gave in and did a factory reset. I'd say the majority of the software issues have been remedied by the reset.
Apps > Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset
Thanks. I'll give it a try later.

OK, reset last night and the reboot issue is gone. But now my wifi tether is no longer working. Put all settings back to what they were but my Nexus7 tablet won't connect now. Just goes to show you, it's always something.

Try installing SuperSU from the playstore first, then run wifi tether.
SuperSU already installed.

Uninstalled wifi tether, opened SuperSU then reinstalled wifi tether and now it works.

I have had the tablet for couple of weeks now without any issues. 4 days back I shutdown my tablet first time during the night and turned it back on next morning. It won't boot, got stuck on nexus logo. Hard rebooted. It happened the same way next day. But not any more since yesterday. I shutdown and restart every morning without any issues. But chrome has been misbehaving since then. I can't use the browser longer than 5 mins or so. It just hangs and throws the not responding dialog. Sent the error report couple of times. Tried clearing cache, reinstalling etc. Did not help. Tried many sites, happens with every single site, so not an issue with a particular web site. Very weird. Can't use the browser at all. Frustrating. Any one else facing such issues? Any help? thanks.

Happens to me too. This is a complete guess, but I think it's software related. Chrome Beta hasn't really given me the same issue, if you wish to stick with Chrome.
I'd like to stay positive and believe that the next update for Chrome will reduce the lag.
I factory reset my device now. Did not help. Totally broken browser. It was perfectly alright first few days. Can't use the browser at all now.

Can someone please confirm. Not sure of its my device, but it's not random freeze. Chrome consistently freezes within few seconds of starting it 100% of the time. It wasn't the case when I got the tablet. I can't use the browser at all literally.

How does it respond to other browsers like Dolphin or Boat?
