Anybody having any YouTube issues? I'm using the YouTube widget and when I go searching for a particular video ('lookin' ass nigga houston' don't ask, haha) it says 6693 results for 'lookin ass nigga' and then where video results show up it says 'No videos found.' This was really embarrassing when my buddy with an iPhone was able to look it up and I was not. I'm running DamageControl 3.0 right now but when the problem showed up it was using OMJ ROM. The problem shows up on both ROMs. Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on? When I look up offroad unicycling I get videos but this one in particular, not so much.

On websites and forums where there are youtube videos embedded on it, the playback is not very smooth. It jumps slightly.
How do I fix this, or this normal?

I am running the Modaco Froyo ROM.
Just to double check, can other froyo users see if they have this problem.
To test, there is a video on this link. Could you play it and tell me how it peforms? http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e6...0-bi-kompressor-twin-supercharged-800-hp.html
Thanks
I have no problems with vids from YouTube usually however I notice that the vid you linked to is 720p and is a little jerky. The standard def version of the same vid works fine tho! I think it is asking a lot to be able to play 720p vids smoothly within a browser window on a phone to be honest! My laptop can struggle sometimes!
When i launch youtube nothing happens.
I'm using vael rom 2.1. How do I reinstall youtube ?
Thanks.
So pretty much this...

Same problem here. My girlfriends Evo is having trouble playing youtube videos. Gives the standard "cannot play." She is running stock, updated current.

Same here rofl.
Was happening to me on every vid, until I figured out that it was because I set stagefright media player to false as a Pandora fix. Once I set it back to true all my you tube vids play fine. In the app, and on YouTube mobile.

edit - I'm referring to the video cannot be played error, btw.
So i figured out when it stopps working.
It stops working as soon as i play a youtube clip from m.youtube.com on the browser. When you play there it plays it in the built in browser player and not the youtube app.
Anyone knows why this happens ?
I did try to clear defaults.
It always gives me that error in the youtube app for me. I dont know why but if I try enough times I can get it to finally play. I am just waiting for the new youtube app from the desire Z to be ported.
Anybody experience the Youtube app stating the video cannot be played in my country?I mean come on I'm in Florida!Any ideas?
Florida is almost Mexico so it doesn't count. (j/k)
Lol yeah its pretty close to Mexico...Its still weird though that it thinks I'm in another country
So ? Any progress on this ? I have to keep reverting back to a backup after the thing stops working.
same thing!
my Evo is doing the same thing i think.. almost every video i play comes up with the "sorry this video could not be played" or "sorry there was a problem playing this video"
it's extremely annoying! I am a former iPhone user and well.. sorry to say but the iphone had ZERO problems playing video.. if google designed android.. and OWNS youtube.. then wtf? I am running Fresh Evo 3.0.0.1 (whatever the newest release is) but it has done it since before root and any custom roms.. so far ive tried searching the forums.. but found not one real fix.. unless im blind.. is there a fix or what?
thanks.. im thinking about just unrooting and bringing to sprint.. seems like im not the only one with this problem though so i dont know if that would help out really..
I've read around the net but couldn't find a specific topic in relation to Incredible.
Amongst the topics and webpages I've come across, many people mentioned that this device can play 720p videos without lag. All my efforts at proving their claim has been fruitless as my HD videos play at a slideshow pace. "Hardware decoding" option hasn't worked for any of my videos; either the video starts up then closes or I get "This file cannot be played with System player" error message right away.
I have tried with multiple versions of Rockplayer, including the most recent 1.7.1.
So my question to Droid Incredible Rockplayer users: has your experience been any different?
Just so you don't feel like your posts was ignored: I haven't used Rockplayer since the D1 I think, (or maybe I used something else but I doubt it) and worked pretty well there. So I don't see why it wouldn't work with the Inc.
Throw a link up for the app and I'll give it go when I get a chance.
Thanks for the reply. Here's the lite version:

Yea, it's odd. People with "weaker" phones claim that they have it running fine so I'm not sure what's going on with my phone.
Downloaded Rockplayer and rob.dyrdeks.fantasy.factory.403.hdtv.xvid-sys.avi to test and it played beautifully. Im actually planning on sitting back and watching the whole episode. I'm using CM7 #55
Sorry for the late response. Anywho, xvids work for sure. The ones that struggle are h264 encoded HD videos, which I've seen people claim that it works.
By the way, did you try selecting Hardware Decoding option at the start of the video? Did it work for you?
Both Rockplayer and Moboplayer only work in software decoding mode for me... I'd like to see if anyone successfully decoded in hardware mode as well
Afternoon Friends,
Was just watching this video on youtube and I like the look of the different album/gallery application the person is using.
How can I get this different app, as I'm using sense 3.0 and mine isn't the same.
Could someone tell me where to get this please?
Thanks for looking and hopefully responding.

That is the sense 3.0 gallery. Only a few roms use it. Not sense 3.0 addon will give it to you.
I've really searched for the gallery app featured. Found quite a few different .apk for sense 3.0 galleries, none I've found are the galleries featured in the video above.
Does anyone have this gallery? Or am I just being stupid.

So, for awhile now this has been happening, i don't know if i'm the only one but honestly it's pissing me off. Basically when i go onto the youtube app and play a video, it shows a grey like jigsaw effect on the video but the sound still plays. I've posted a picture too. If anyone can provide me a solution i honestly would be more than grateful. I'm running LS rom, android version 4.4.4. Please help!
