Hello.
I tried the dolphin browser, and the bookmark to sd, witch have a goolge bookmark sync.
It worked one way, but there is no way i can delete them all at once from my phone.
So now my phone have 1000 bookmarks there i dont want.
In which browser do you want to delete the bookmarks from?

both, dolphin and the stock android browser.
Dolphin is uninstalled now tho...
Try checking one of the folders on your SD card, maybe a list of all the bookmarks will be displayed in one of the directories.

HTC Sync has the option to Sync bookmarks and you can also select your browser. However, this does not work. Now, I know about the apps in the market that will do this but I just wanted to ask if anyone knows what the purpose of this option in HTC Sync is. Maybe it does something else that I haven't understood well?
Ok I found it. An HTC Bookmarks group is created in IE favorites and that will be synced with DHD. It works fine. I wonder why people want to download alternative tool to sync.
Mine does not create a HTC Bookmarks folder in IE... :-(
How do I get it to work?
Can it be Synced with Firefox as well? It does have an option in HTC Sync to switch it, but I cannot seem to get it to work... :-(
Sync setup
You need to create the "HTC Bookmarks" folder on the PC first, (in Chrome this needs to be in the "Bookmarks Bar" for some reason)... any shortcuts created in that location will then sync to the phone. In chrome, subfolders are ignored - so all the bookmarks need to be in the root of HTC Bookmarks.
Firefox/IE work in similar ways, create the folder first on the PC and it works
Note in firefox - it seems to require the folder name to be "HTC bookmarks" go figure!
Hello,
After a quick search I wasn't able to find any topics on this subject so apologies if this has been covered already.
Can anyone suggest an app that will enable me to bookmark links on my android and have these sync'd to an online account? I know there are apps that will sync bookmarks with your desktop. I've also tried a few apps that sync with Delicious but none of these allow you to bookmark from within the default android browser. In summary, here's the setup I'd like
- bookmark link from within android browser with ability to tag the link before I save the link.
- view bookmarked links online (with functionality like Delicious)
cheers,
Keith

I use chrome on desktop.
I use chromarks paid version.
You can sync to default android browser.
Google bookmarks accepts delicious now. So you'll be happy.
Thanks mate.
ChromeMarks seems to sync with my local chrome browser ('Bookmark Manager'), not my 'Google Bookmarks'. I've recently discovered that Google Bookmarks doesn't sync with bookmarks that have been saved within Google Chrome (present within 'Bookmark Manager').
So, how have you managed to get ChromeMarks to sync with Google Bookmarks instead of Bookmark Manager?
Just an observation... I've noticed is that after exporting my bookmarks from Chrome, and trying to import them into Google Bookmarks... I discovered that you can't do it directly - only through Delicious. How bizarre!
Yes.. I thought I had a line that said
Chrome bookmarks are not google bookmarks and gb are not cm.
Pick one and stick with it. google or chrome books...just export from delish to chrome.
Export google books to file. Import to chrome. Stop using google books. Start using chrome entirely and no conflicts.
If you use all kinds of browsers... do ONE full export from all and then iONE import of those into chrome. Then stop using any and all bookmark sites and just pick one bookmark method and stick with it and you've got a commitment.
This is just how id do it if I were to PICK chrome bookmarks as my master bookmarks method.
Fyi the chrommarks sync to native browser doesn't seem to work inb gingerbread yet. It doesn't seem.
How would I transfer my IE browser favorites to the GNex browser? I can use Chrome as an intermediary if that helps.

Using Chrome is exactly how you need to do it.
-Import bookmarks from IE into Chrome.
-Sign into Chrome and sync bookmarks.
-Under Accounts and Sync, be sure to have the same account added that you signed in under Chrome and select the option to Sync Bookmarks.
Such quick response! Thanks, that works perfectly
Hm, something's odd with mine then; and I think it's also eating battery because it tries to sync all the time! :-?
Hi, on the S3 in the stock browser there is an option to show the synched boormarks from your Chrome desktop browser.
I cannot see it on the G4.
I went to the phone gmail account sync settings and I cannot find the sync bookmarks option but only the sync Chrome option which will sync only the bookmarks for the chrome phone mobile browser...
Any idea??

There may be other ways...but this & other sites say you have to use an app called Chromemarks. The catch...only the paid version will sync your Chrome bookmarks to your default android browser.
More reading...not sure if this would help you: http://notesofgenius.com/how-sync-android-browser-chrome/
Sort of on the same topic...I looked, but could not find anyway to locally sync Samsung's own browsers bookmarks with the bookmarks widget.
The only real bookmark widget (4x1) is for Chrome and the annoying thing is that you have to keep Chrome sync on in settings, for your bookmarks to stay in the widget. I wondered why the bookmarks disappeared, until I realized why. I don't like having sync on at all times, I like to do it manually...so this seems like a complete oversight on Samsung's part. I mean, why would you include your own browser but not make a widget for bookmarks for it? Then also why would the Chrome widget only keep bookmarks if sync for Chrome is enabled.
I LOVED my Sensations bookmark widget (and other widgets). It was kept on a local cache & did not require sync to be on to stay there. Sammy could learn one thing from HTC in regards to great widgets. Seems like with all the other amazing software features on this phone, Samsung forgot to have a team work on widgets...and also some basic apps light a flashlight app for the LED. Of course many things can be downloaded from the play store, but you would think that stuff would be included...Strange.
If any of what I said was incorrect....feel free to correct me and if someone knows how to keep your bookmarks in the 4x1 widget, without Chrome sync enabled...let me know :good:
install chrome brower for android

He said he wants to sync his chrome boolmarks with the STOCK browser. If he wanted to use chromehe would have. Op I couldn't find anything to sync it to stock so i just made the same bookmarks to my samsung account and those sync fine with the stock browser.

Saw someone on the forum mention Maxthon browser so decided to check it out, it's actually really fast. However I can't seem to get it to sync bookmarks with the desktop and the addon I downloaded for it to bookmarks fails to login to google, does anyone know any other way to get chrome's bookmarks to sync with it?

Maxthon can only sync with its own desktop version browser. Personally I prefer Maxthon rather than chrome on desktop, it has better basic functions like built-in adhunter, screen snap, webkit/IE engines, video downloader etc.
Yeah I installed the desktop version, created an account, signed into both, imported bookmarks on desktop version, but it still won't sync to mobile.
