I am having very annoying issue with messaging on my device, on any ROM..
When I receive SMS message, go to inbox and tap on the received SMS to open it, it does opens it but it scrolls down to the end of the SMS by itself and all I can see is blank white space, to read the SMS I need to scroll back up to see the text..
This is very annoying and I suspect it is caused by some 3rd party app, because it works file until I start installing apps on it..
Anyone had the same issues ?
Turn off D-Pad Navigation for PIE and it will work as you wish it to do.
Cheers
Thanks, this solved it..
so i have been using g config to try to control what apps my phone rotates the screen for. i have removed everything from the g config list that has i think out could be but the screen continues to rotate as there is a phone call coming on, this causes the thing screen to rotate as I bring the phone our of my pocket and it often is in the middle of rotating when I try to answer and it often has a hard time hitting th eanswerbutton while on transition.
anyone know of a way to keep the phone to stop rotating?
thanks,
jeff

So when I open Gconfig, the only apps that are set to rotate are:
skyfire
iGuidance
both my mail accounts
sms/mms
IE6
Album
Calculator
Opera
I noticed that on my Wife's phone that has the official Tmo rom does not do this.
Thanks, any other ideas?
remove anything with "dialog" youll loose email and text messaging rotation. but they all use the same window name.

Thanks Dude! The only thing that said Dialog was the sms/mms. I deleted that and then reset up the sms/mms and the phone app does not rotate anymore!!
Outstanding!!
I am using WidgetLocker along with Go SMS Pro. I really like the popup feature, but I dont want it to popup when I am on my Lockscreen in WidgetLocker.
I causes me to miss out on some sms because when WidgetLocker locks my screen again after the popup GO SMS think it is because I have read the sms, and then it removes all notifications of ever receiving a new sms.
When using stock lockscreen the popup is visible after unlocking my screen, but not i WidgetLocker. Any solution to get this working? It works find with Handcent, so I guess this has something to do with GO

Go into WidgetLocker settings, and then Popups. Click the box that says "Hide SMS Popups" and see how that works. If it doesn't work, you might have to figure out the package name of the GO SMS alert and do "Hide other".
Hide sms popup doesn't work, go sms seems to override it.
Under "hide others" I got rid of the popup, but it also removes all kinds of notifications from GO SMS. I used com.jb.gosms
This is a bug in GoSMS. GoSMS is prematurely dismissing the notification when their activity is paused, even if the activity is paused by the system like during an incoming phone call or when WidgetLocker takes over. The Android API provides onUserLeaveHint specifically for an activity to use to know if it should dismiss the notification or not, however GoSMS does not use this.
I've contacted them multiple times about this issue and received no response.
A user has reported a work around, though it's suboptimal:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13407339&postcount=1195
The work around with gosms/WL to make the led blink on new messages is to always have an unread text. Use whatever means you want, sent yourself a text; I use something simple, "DO NOT ERASE". Upon receipt, do not open, or if you have popups enabled, press 'to do', which leaves it marked unread. Now, for any new texts received, the led will always blink.

how about just putting the gosms widget on the widgetlocker lock screen? That way the last message received will always be there.
I am not interested in having a sms widget on my lock screen.
Regarding the "fix", my phone dont have a notification Led. It this wont be sorted out soon I guess I have to look for a different SMS app, even though I think GO SMS is the best one (except from this bug).
Have you tried Noled? I haven't tried it with GoSMS as I use Handcent but I don't think Go will overide it's notification once activated.
Rather than start a new thread, thought I'd ask if anyone else was able to hear their notification sound when receiving a message as I haven't

I'd say give his suggestion a try anyway. Even though the phone doesn't have a physical LED, the OS itself still supports it, and that might be more important than anything. It's very possible that it'll still work.
gosms released an update yesterday which supposedly fixes this problem.
Hmm, no update in marked for Go sms as I can see
That's weird mine updated and is working fine now
The update showed up today. It is better now, but the popup still gets on top of WidgetLocker, but now it dont remove the notifications when the screen get locked again.
Only thing missing now is "quick compose"
Hello all. I have been running into a problem with my incredible since I've installed the first CM7. My problem is the keyboard on the default text app dissapears randomly. There has been no rhyme or reason that I've noticed. It doesn't happen at the same time, and sometimes it acts differently. Sometimes just the Smiley pop out will only show the bounding box, none of the Smiley icons, though if I scroll over them and release, they will still be input into the text. Another problem is the whole keyboard disappearing, though like my other issue, I can still press where the keys should be and they will be input into the text message. I haven't had this problem with the keyboard on any other app than the default text messenger. The only way to fix that I have found is to restart the phone. I have tried holding the back button while on the app, with the CM7 task killer turned on. Any help would be great, though it's not a huge problem, it is annoying.
Thanks, Twisted Politiks

Am I really the only one with this problem?

Hey, I'm currently running AOKP ROm on my GS3 and I use the built in sms quick reply option for the notification drop down menu when I'm normally using the phone, But I want that same or similar feature for when my phone is locked. I currently have chompsms and enjoy its pop up, but its a bit much and runs slow. Is there any tweak than can be done to shunt the notification quick reply window that pops up after selecting quick reply in the drop down to the lock screen? Or is there an app that has a very clean and fast lock screen pop up?
I've tried most of the other sms apps out there including handcent, GO sms, sms pop up, and popup sms. Are there any others I could try?
Thanks
