Whilst I can get it to load up fine the picture is unwatchable. The picture merges with the previous frame (if that makes sense) and is very blocky.
It wilk be ok for a couple of seconds and then its rubbish again. Streaming over WiFi and it works fine in my iPhone.
Could my processor be knackered when it comes to video? You tube works ok.
Is there anyway to check?
Thanks

I'm not sure why it's not working for some,
for me quality isn't great, and the audio is out of sync with the picture but i don't have any issues with it being choppy
cheers
thats great news. just got it working
Works fine for me on HQ over wifi. Great for watching the world cup!
Audio is completely out of sync. For football it might be ok, but for the rest not an option.

Type of Flash not supported
Hi, I've tried this site in my Desire and when you select a channel to play I got an egg time and then got a yellow triangle on the screen. If you tap the triangle I get the following message "Adobe Flash - This type of Flash content is not supported.
Any ideas anyone?

its (apparently) still in beta so fingers crossed it'll get better. I find LQ just about watchable over wifi - although I get a weak signal notification.
looks promising though.
Every time, I watch something on tv catch-up, beebplayer or myplayer, the picture keeps freezing after about 4- 5 mins, then I have to restart the program, any ideas, or is this normal, pls help - thanx

i also have this problem which is very annoying, it might be i.e. networks issue not to let us stream too much ?

Is anyone else getting this problem.
If i open the youtube app its fine, i can search, play videos ect.. everythings fine but when i hit the my account button to se the channels ive subscribed to it pops up with there is no network connection right now try again later. But there is a network, ive tried over 3g/H & wifi and i can play videos but i can access my account, keeps saying no metwork connection, ive even logged out restartee the phone logged in, used the internet on my phone to make sure its 100% getting a signal and i still get tue same problem, i can access my youtube account, the apps fine for viewing videos but it wont go into the my account
Im using my googlemail account as the sign in for youtube btw.
Anyone ideas on if its a problem with the phone or a problem on youtubes end?.
Thanks.

are you using the updated YT client with the HQ button at the side?
Yes, its only been doing this since yesterday, im still on android 2.1 with vodafone.

Hmmm... I've noticed this since this morning. HTC Desire 2.2 on O2
I'm also having trouble signing into Google Reader.
Is there some network issue to Google?
I dont want to hard rest my phone if the problems not on the uandset but with google or youtube, as they will probarly patch it in a day or two, but if im the only one getting it its probarly a corruption with the youtube app which will need a reset.
Like i said the app itself is working fine, i can search, play videos ect...
But ushally when i open the app it has a few sections, subscription updates, recomended for you, most viewed ect... well the subscription updates section isnt there, so i click menu and then my account & the page changes with my details, how many channels im subscribed to, favorites ect.. then after a few seconds it flags up with theres no network connection right now, try again later?
I even went into the m.youtube mobile site to see if there might be a problem with my account details but it logged in to the mobile site fine and loaded my subs and played fine. Its just not working via the app

So it was working fine before this? On the new client?
Because I noticed it only happened with the new client, not with the old client.

I'm using my DHD as a Wi-Fi hotspot using my 3g connection. I have an all u can eat data plan, which I believe means 3 browsing. But a limit on up/down loads. Would this come under browsing?
Any advise is welcome

what do you mean?
http://www.store-3.co.uk/3-unlimited-data-one-plan.html
this one?
if so: where does it say that you've got a limit on up- and downloads? And what would be the difference to browsing? Opening a website in your phones browser means you have to download the site and all the pictures on that site.

Is that a question?
From your initial post it wasn't clear which carrier you are on or even which country you are from (t-mobile exists in a lot of countries! and not everybody looks at signatures and knows what "t-mo" stands for) and "all-you-can-eat" is a term the 3 network actually uses. And since you wrote "3 browsing"....
however:
this should answer your question:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/blog/2011/jan/14/t-mobile-data-explanation
As i understand it, they do a deep packet inspection to see what content you are trying to download. But judging from that interview most of the people at t-mobile don't even know themselves how it works.
That means that you should be able to use your notebook (or whatever you need the hotspot for) in the same way you use your phones browser and as soon as you hit the 500mb the network will stop sending you the things, that need to be "downloaded".
Worst case you will only see text on websites since pictures need to be downloaded too, but i guess you have to try that for yourself.
You should wait until the last day of the month and then start streaming videos on youtube. Once you hit the 500mb and see what gets blocked it would be nice if you could come back here and post your results.
Sorry should of put !! Anyway I upgraded so will carry on using it as a hotspot (4 my ps3). Wait to se if they send me the text. Will see if I can hit the limit, and report what happens.
Thanks

Just a heads up for WMW players on Nexus 7.
I've found out that the game in subject runs just fine but only as long as you're connected to the net.
If you loose the WiFi connection or turn it off, the game force-closes upon launch.
This is either a JB compatibility issue or Nexus 7 compatiblity issue because the same game works just fine on SGS III with airplane mode turned on.
I've raised the issue with the Disney support, so we just have to wait how fast they'll react with the correction

It's mostly likely not an issue not being able to connect to servers. They most likely try to check for wifi/3g connection (as opposed to internet connectivity), and if it doesn't have it, they mishandle that, causing an application crash. I haven't watched the logs for it though, so not sure.
Same here mate, Reported to Disney, hopefully they look in to this soon
darn, I was hoping this issue was solved by now.
Im using an acer a500 with ICS and I have this same problem. Any workaround?
both apps work fine without wifi here. and have since beginning of october at least.
Always worked fine for me with or without WiFi and with or without a 3G connection on my phone.

So after two long years of using, what I can only describe as the most stable phone I've ever used, I've upgraded to a galaxy s3.
My 2 daughters generally fight over who can use the iPod to watch BBC iPlayer when they goto bed at night, or when they're bored during the day..
I now have a phone sitting in a drawer and it got me thinking If there is any way I can give my desire a new lease of life and give it to my daughter to use for accessing the BBC website? That way one can watch on the iPad, the other on the desire.
I'm only concerned about them using the phone to call the emergency services by accident. Is there anyway I can disable the phone for making calls an still keep the wireless/functionality the same ?
Any comments appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Maybe you can hide call/dialer button from the app drawer (try apps like audio manager-you can lock/hide anything with this app. Also you can remove dialer icon from home screen
And just try searching on market there must be a way to disable it with some app
Also our good friend Google can always help you good luck

For some reason my YouTube stopped working after I think about 2 updates ago. When it first stopped working I wasn't worried and figured the next update would probably fix it, but that hasn't happened (I currently have v5.9.4.9). It starts but nothing loads it just continually shows the loading icon (I also tried searching thinking that may work and didn't). I tried clearing cache and data and force stop then re-opening but that did nothing also.
Any ideas?

@Paulx777 the current version of Youtube app is 5.9.0.13 - update it and see what happens.
Tbh the Youtube app has never been bug free on my tablet, at first it had exactly as you describe nothing would load - I did all sorts and finally figured out it was my wifi router being the problem so try a different wifi connection and see what happens.
Once that was fixed it would take ages to load and now it no longer updates my history. I just think this tablet and youtube aint the best of friends haha.
P.s. is 777 in your name refering to Boeing 777? Jus curious lol.
Sent from Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition via Tapatalk.
It's definitely something wrong with the YouTube update because I went in and clicked "Uninstall Updates" and whatever version it reverted back to worked perfectly. Plus, if you look at YouTube's Google Play ratings/reviews, a lot of people have been giving the update one star our dropping their rating from five stars to one for the same reasons...YouTube doesn't load, they get no picture and only hear sound, etc. And there's a bunch of complaints, they can't all be from Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition owners.
P.S. no, when I created the sn I put in Paul7 (I play baseball and 7 is my number) but it wasn't available, so this was what was available.

@Paulx777Yeah thats true ... I think youtube app in general isnt good either. But try a diff WiFi ... trust me it might be the cause it was for me.
Haha Ah right I thought you were a plane lover thats all lol.
