I am trying to download or find themes or games for HTC HD mini but seems that i can't find it anywhere. Is there any here? Thanks
It is a new device
The thing is that HD Mini has not been out for a reasonable period to be developed. And honestly saying, it is a way beyond HTC Leo in performance.
In the end, I find it a very smart replacement for HD2 in size, and that is what I prefer most.
Except for the latest news : HD Mini will not have WM7.
does it also say that it wont be possible to upgrade to win 7?

what do you guys think?
jazz
Perso I got a Touch HD and I'm waiting for my Desire.
So, of course, I think it's a good idea buddy ;-)
I’m one of the many long faces, today i didn’t receive my desire
The HD is not bad device but is little bit sloWwwwwWWw
Yes I’m changing it for HTC Desire.
Yea I have ordered a desire, coming from a HD. HD is a beautiful device, but lags quite a bit. Only way to use it smoothly is running wm6.1 with m2.1, which just sucks anway lol.
If only a new version of the hd came out with snapdragon, android etc. Would be nice. Still feel the HD is one of the sexiest devices....

That's a HD2 more than a HD.
I had my HD for around a year, it died on me due to constantly flashing, hard resets and WinMo in general.
I would be going towards WinMo ever again ... unless WP7 is leagues ahead and even then I prefer the Android freel (I own a Zune HD).
I think the Desire is going to be miles better in so many ways. Such as:
REAL FLIPPING KEYS! I hated the fact the HD didn't "catch" my touches sometimes.
Better camera, the HD camera was slow and a pain.
Android > WM 6 or 6.5
Faster ... that's a given ...
Sense; the real Sense UI!
That's just a summary list off the top of my head.
Same here, i'm moving from Touch HD to Desire and can't wait for it.
Even thou last sense ui version extracted from touch pro 2 is smooth and light, on touch hd animations and the overall usage of the phone is still a bit slow for my tastes.
I sold my HTC Touch HD few weeks ago because this phone, now I use one old Nokia E51 and I'm waiting HTC Desire to become available in on-line markets I have pre-ordered it about a 2-3 weeks ago,
I think that change is worthed:
Faster device,
As beautiful as HD,
Android is better,
Better screen,
Hardware buttons (this is better for me).
Personally I would move from any Windows Mobile device, Android is far superior in every way. Put it this way, I have a Hero and I am upgrading to a Desire.......
Remember a few weeks back when I posted the rumour about the HTC Desire HD?
Well it appears that it may have been more than just a rumour.
http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/07/htc-desire-hd-spotted-in-the-wild-with-evo-like-form-factor-and/
Looks kinda crummy to me. I much prefer my Desire to this one. (If it is the Desire HD).
i want 1 it comes out in the uk they wont let me swap it lyk the iphone
that doesn't look like a aluminium unibody to me, saying that i never thought it would have one anyway, that would just make it far too good looking and competitive lol
I want one too... I prefer bigger screen.
The hardware is basically identical to the Desire. That 1GHz Snapdragon is looking a little long in the tooth at this stage, especially if you're interested in playing games on it (I'm not, but still). If I was going to lock myself into a 12 month phone contract I'd wait for something a bit more future-proof.
Apparently the dual-core Qualcomm cpus started shipping to manufacturers in June. So if you're smart, you'll wait a while longer...
damn, i thought that HTC Desire HD will be better resolution ( like IPhone display, maybe even 720p ), dual core 2x800Mhz and better GPU ( better that then Samsung Captivate ).
My next phone will be dual core for sure. but as i see i have to wait for it a little bit longer .
But it look like HTC desire (well, back look like same color )
The HTC site now has a new model listed, the HTC Aria which looks very similar to this phone..

It's more like HD2 then Desire IMHO. Which is good, since I won't go to smaller screen then my current HD2.

The Aria is basically AT&T's version of the Wildfire.
Where are the hardware keys and the optic trackpad?
Good question .. I'd say nowhere.
Yess.. physical buttons much more desired + 4" screen is also ideal size in my opinion like on Galaxy n SE-X10 rather than 4,3 since it is still a cell-phone, not tablet. You can add wifi-n, native divx support and tv-out (both dlna and wired) to existing Desire features. Then we can mention it really desirable, even -almost- perfect!

Yeah, cant wait the announcement (September 15?).
But, I might not upgrade if it is only 4.3" + internal memory (4GB).
Add the new dual core snapdragon and MUCH BETTER video capture (current 480p and 720p are jokes!), I will buy 2 !!!!
As a HD2 owner I say to you: you will get used to 4.3 inches in a day and you will never want go back. Trust me on this.
looks like its available on oct 1st. amazon had it priced at £415, but took the page down.

Funny, thats the one main thing I miss about my old HD2, I love my Desire, but it took a bit of getting used to going back to a smaller screen.
Hi Guys
I was on WM till a year ago (Blackstone) and then switched to an iPhone 3GS (jailbroken) which has been good but restrictive in terms of how I want my phone to look and work.
I have been watching the development of Android and think that the time is right to now switch to this OS.
I am just wondering that as my first Android device should I go with the Desire or go for the new Desire HD?
Will I be able to use all the existing Android Aps on the DHD or am I better of in terms of Aps choice to stick to the Desire?
Don't get me wrong the DHD's bigger screen size and faster processor and upgraded UI are appealing but at the end of the day this phone is used to run my business and life so its critical for me.
Thanks for reading and responding.

the desire hd does have more horsepower than our desires, but saying that the desire is no slob, the desire HD also has a bigger screen, but on the other hand the desire already has a massive community here, steps have already been taken to port the desire hd rom and sence to our devices, if you get a desire hd, you will be waiting a good few months before things really kick off in terms of development
I would go for Desire. Coming from iphone 3GS, Desire HD might feel excessively large and not practical. Besides, Desire already has a good community behind it.
Some say there is no big enough screen. I say D HD is quite big. Played with it yesterday. Big.
Go for Desire! You will love it!
Hello,
I currently own a HTC Touch HD and I hate it with a passion. It is slow, bugy, the screen goes from to sensitive to unresponsive is a millisecond so it is nealry impossible to scroll down the contacts without picking the wrong one or flying past the one you want etc. When I first got it I had a lot of problems with it connection to the 3G all by itself although that is mostly under control now. I have no real issues with the Windows operating system but it is clearly out of date these days.
My question is the Desire HD everything that my Touch HD wasn't? Is is quick, smooth, easy to use and so? Is the touch screen on a par with an IPOD Touch?
Please help as I dont know whether HTC are bad or just that I had a bad phone?
Has anyone bought phones from these guys as they seem cheap enough?

I changed from the Touch HD and can honestly say its a completely different experience - I continue to be blown away by my Desire HD.

This phone is great, but I'm starting to consider htc as a bad company. I don't like the way they keep blocking the root exploits. As much as I love the sense ui, I will probably start buying nexus phones from now on unless htc want to allow rooting.
If you do decide to buy, at least try and get a phone with 1.32 firmware so you can root it.

I am a beginer at all this technical stuff, what exactly is rooting and why would I want to do it?

Google it as "What is Android rooting". Briefly it provides you to have SuperUser access on the phone and install custom ROM, some spesific apps etc...
Firstly I recommend you to read much and gain information about Android platform then you operate on the phone. I have read forums approx. 1 month before I buy an Android phone.
I upgraded from the Touch HD to the Desire HD too and I will never look back!
My only concern is that a normal desire would have been enough due to the smaller size and better battery life. I've yet to reach 48 hours on one charge with minimal usage...and I don't make many calls!
Hello I had a Touch HD, and now Desire HD. I like my touch hd, but desire is much more better.
Only one thing i missed. I have logitech bluetooth handsfree and it doesnt work with desire. It works perfect with touch hd....

Hello should I trade in my HTC HD2 for an HTC DESIRE HD?

Since the phone beats it in ram and camera and other stuff and i;ve seen how smooth everything is in desire hd much better than htc hd2. But of course htc hd2 can run windows phone 7 and now also mango the latest version.. So im not so sure for now.
Are there anymore pluses towards the htc desire hd that i have not mentioned?
If you want to change between systems and try all updates, stay at the HD2. It´s the only device, which is able to run WP7, WM 6.5 and Android, also other systems. If you want to have a modern android device, which can be rooted, buy the DHD. If you don´t wanna root this time, buy the Sensation, because it has the fastest HTC CPU.
I´ve sold my HD2 in the spring and bought at 1st the Samsung Omnia 7, then the HD7 and at last the DHD. With the DHD i´m satisfied, but sometimes a little tear is rolling for the HD2. The best is, to buy DHD and have the HD2 too. The HD2 was the device, which i owned for the longest time, since i use PPC´s and smartphones.
Money=problem

Yes, well the best costs a lot of money And I cannot afford the best, so I think I'm going to trade my htc hd2 in for a htc desire hd!
Thanks for all the answers!
I have both, and frankly, DHD much better in my opinion
