Windows Mobile Update

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...2f0-ba32-69bb7e9a3814&DisplayLang=de#filelist
Overview
Microsoft Office 2007 introduced new Open XML-based file formats for Office applications. These new file formats reduce file size, improve security and reliability, and enhance integration with external sources.
To allow Windows Mobile users to work with Office documents created in the Open XML formats, Microsoft has developed an upgrade for Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, and PowerPoint Mobile applications. This upgrade to the Office Mobile applications allows viewing and editing of Word documents and Excel workbooks and viewing of PowerPoint slideshows created by using Microsoft Office 2007.
Other improvements include:
• Enhanced viewing experience for charts in Excel Mobile.
• Ability to view SmartArt in PowerPoint Mobile.
• Ability to view and extract files from compressed (.zip) folders.
Microsoft Office Mobile 6.1 Full Version to support Microsoft 2007 file formats
If your Windows Mobile device does not have a version of Microsoft Office Mobile prior to 6.1, you can purchase the full version of Microsoft Office Mobile.
The Office Mobile application suite includes Microsoft Office Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, and Microsoft Office PowerPoint® Mobile for Windows Mobile 6 powered devices, helping users manage and review documents. Microsoft Office Mobile includes support for rich reviewing and minor editing capabilities as well as support for rights-managed documents.
The primary user scenario enabled by Office Mobile is viewing e-mail attachments, performing minor edits, sharing document versions, and opening documents from an SD card or a SharePoint server. Office Mobile provides a high-fidelity document viewing experience, with capability to edit as well as fast performance in loading the first page of the document.
Note: This free upgrade works only for Windows Mobile powered devices that have an earlier version of Office Mobile. If your Windows Mobile powered device does not have Office Mobile applications, this upgrade will not work for you. You can purchase the full version of Office Mobile 6.1 online. UPNP/DNLA client

Guys anyone know of a good UPNP/DNLA client for windows mobile?
Would be fantastic
bump bump, please someone reply if you know it.
Bump indeed
Somebody must have a upnp server in home and using a winmo device to access
The i900 (Omnia) looks like it's the only WM device that has DLNA certification and it's as a media server. I'm not sure if it can also be used as a controller/renderer.
My old S60 N95 had DLNA certification as a media server but could also act as a controller and worked as a renderer for some formats.
The only working one I know of and use is the Network plugin for the Pocket Player media player. The plugin is not included in the standard edition, but a free download. It enables you to access your media server over Wifi. I use TwonkyMedia as media servers on my Vista desktop PC and on my Linux NAS (network harddisk).
The Coreplayer people for a long time now promise UPnP support in Coreplayer, but have not delivered yet.
Pocket Player works great for audio, but is there anything out there for video as well?
hey, try this and see if you can make it works: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=629247

Opera 9.5 appears as a Mobile browser and not desktop browser...

Hello!
Since I updated Opera (9.5 build_15954 on my Diamond) to its latest version, when I go on web sites, my browser is recognized as a mobile browser and not as normal office browser. It's really annoying because on Youtube Website such as on a lot of sites I see a particular web site dedicated to mobile phones.
As an example, when I load www.google.fr the browser goes to Google Mobile. When I go on Youtube, my browser redirect to Youtube Mobile.
In short, there is something that identify my browser as a mobile browser on the net and I would like to change opera parameters to simulate a real traditional browser as Firefox on windows XP for exemple...
What can I do ?
Thank you

IE Flash support gone

Hello,
Can anybody help me get Flash support working on IE again?
This applies to T-Mobile USA Touch Pro2 version and this what happened.
I changed the default browser from IE to Opera (via opera:config), but soon found out Opera did not play youtube videos. I installed Flash7 for PPC to no avail. I removed Flash 7 via add/remove programs
When I went to open a youtube video in IE, like I'd done before, it did not work either. There's a placeholder in the page for the video, but nothing else.
I would appreciate if anybody could lead me in the right directions to:
1) restore flash playing capabilities on IE
2) enable flash playing capabilities on Opera Mobile
As a bonus, how could you make IE default browser again? Just curious...
Thanks
Luis
Had you thought about installing Skyfire instead? That has pretty good flash support, and is faster than Opera for general browsing.
Thanks for your reply Shasarak.
Yes. I had it and I remove it, however, my original question still stands.
I want first to get the phone to its former state (IE plays youtube), then we can discuss alternatives.
Thanks,
Luis
I believe the IE supoort for Flash is currently based around the Flash Lite player (at least for the TP2 from Telstra). Come this October, there would be a public beta from Adobe for the full Flash 10 player for mobile phones like WM phones. The beta player is the plug in for browsers. And sometime next year, hopefully there would be the full standalone AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime) player for mobile phones as well.

wich is the best internet browser for dash??

opera mobile 10 is sucks. iE-is slow, firefox not working, wich is the best? for wotching videos on facebook or in vkontakte.ru??
try skyfire - m.skyfire.com
beware though, dash wasn't meant to be a "video" phone.
Frostmoon is correct, remember you are dealing with a 3+ year phone...that in phone years is more than 10...so don't ask too much of the dash...
since when opera 10 is able to view fb / youtube videos? there is no working flashplayer yet for windows mobile platform that can run flashvideos in embedded

Skyfire is the man... but be aware that you´ll be installing a portable heater along with skyfire..
For me the best choice to watch youtube videos is CorePlayer. And the best choice to browse the web is Opera Mini 5.
I would say that if skyfire didn´t have this heating side effect, it would be my choice to web + youtube.

I have to agree with Frostmoon - Skyfire is the best for the Dash/Excalibur. It displays web pages exactly as they appear on your PC complete with embedded flash. I love watching highlights on ESPN.com It does youtube also but you are better off going to m.youtube.com and downloading the app to your dash - it works similar to Ipone's youtube app.
joeskull I haven't noticed the heating effect, but I'm not overclocking..Haven't tried opera 5 or coreplayer, will try them and report back later
I would avoid Opera Mini 5 beta for now - it does look very nice and is very fast but has a major bug when entering text in the address field - the numeric keypad can't be turned off! This has been reported with other phone models (iPAQ 514, Dash 3G, Samsung i607 Blackjack, etc.) on Opera Mini's forums with no fix currently available.
Basically Opera Mini 5 beta is unusable on the Dash/Excalibur.
