[Q] Resetting to Factory Settings

Hello everyone!
I just love my One X, it's a great phone, however I got mine on April 6th, and I am facing serios screen flickering since then - so I read all those threads and decided to get a replacement for my phone.
I talked to Amazon today, and they are sending me a new one, however, I have to send mine back of course.
I have rooted HOX with CWM Recovery and ARHD 2.0.0 installed, so I'd like to know how to flash the stock unrooted ROM and ROO again on my phone?
Thanks for your help,
Felix

Hi Mate
All the Ruu's are on the link below. Read through the posts youll need to unlock the bootloader to flash one of the ruu's. There installed via windows so is fairly straight forward to set back.

Incorrect. You'll need to re-lock the bootloader to run an RUU. Typo?

[Q] Jellybean Upgrade

Okay, so finally my cid HTC_044 has gotten the jellybean upgrade,
My problem is not that I don't know how to upgrade but of the options offered, I can't do any of them
1. I cannot go to stock RUU since I don't own a Windows computer and I don't have access to one
2. My phone was bought on ebay with bootloader unlocked so I don't have access to the unlock.bin code that is needed to upgrade
Is there any other possible way to get to stock and upgrade?
One way I saw was to go to the stock ICS through Mike's link but I don't get what he means with stock system.img.

I'm not sure about your other questions but regarding question 2.
I'm sure you can create a new HTCdev account and do the same steps to receive the unlock.bin file on your own e-mail address associated with your own HTCdev account.

[Q] Want to return to stock on my HTC One M8

Hi. I have a HTC One M8 that is rooted and has a custom rom. It's on Android 4.4.4 I need to return to stock as I need to send my phone for repair. No, I did not root my phone myself my friend done it for me. I've watched videos on how to return to stock on my phone but I just can't do it! Can someone please guide and help me through this!
Look for a back to stock RUU for your carrier. That should do it for you.
I don't know your CID but look over this thread you should be able to find an RUU that will work for you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701376

Returning to stock for warranty

Hello!
I will keep it short, nice and easy.
Phone purchased last Friday, updated to Oreo through OTA. Unlocked bootloader through HTC Dev and flashed TWRP and then Magisk (no custom ROM).
Problems: Heating up, battery life under 4 hours, no WiFi MAC address 02:00:00:00:00:00
Question: I want to return it for warranty so I would like to know.
-Can I restore stock recovery
-Can I apply RUU of Nougat Android (CID:_034)
-Can I relock bootloader and have it say LOCKED instead of RE-LOCKED without S-OFF (I will buy S-OFF if necessary as losing warranty is not something I can afford).
tl:dr I need to prep this phone tonight for warranty service, I must give it back to the retailer 100% stock. can you please advise on the best course of action considering I have updated to Android Oreo?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Catalin
Please accept my apologies. I have just realized that I have posted in the wrong thread. This was meant to go in the questions section of the forum.
If any admin could please move it I would be very grateful
-Can I restore stock recovery. Yes, and I'm sure stock recovery is posted in the stock backup thread
-Can I apply RUU of Nougat Android (CID:_034) Yes but only of you're s-off. You also need to run a procedure to get the radio working when downgrading from Oreo to Nougat. Steps are detailed in a thread in the Guides forum.
-Can I relock bootloader and have it say LOCKED instead of RE-LOCKED without S-OFF (I will buy S-OFF if necessary as losing warranty is not something I can afford). You can only do that with s-off. But are you sure your retailer will even check for bootloader status?
Thanks a lot for the answer!
