Need Bluetooth toggle software

I am posting this again as my earlier message has been deleted (by accident, of course)
Occasionally when I want to activate bluetooth by clicking on the
system tray (bluetooth settings icon), it takes about 30-40 seconds
for it to come up. I am not sure why.
This problem is inherited to PZP and PBT as well.
Plus I have some problems with PZP and PBT, so I want to avoid them.
Anyone has a simple application that can turn BT off/on toggle?
Some small EXE will do. Appreciate if you can share this with us.

Bluetooth Tools is probably the app you're looking for.

As I said, I am trying to avoid PBT (POCKET BLUETOOTH TOOLS) due to its problems as highlighted in previous discussions.
i hope someone has a simple EXE to switch BT on/OFF

hey mate,
if you're using tdlaunch or an app which allows you to put shortcuts on your today screen; then you can use this...see attached. it's the link to the bluetooth app of the pocket pc; it's still the same app as the one on the bt icon opens but it might work faster for you as compared to clicking the one on the tray. hope that helps.

Thanks Rob, but unfortunately the delay of 30-40 seconds is still there even when I use your link.
I am still puzzled by this delay.

I have exactly the same problem on my m-1000, I have tried three different ROMs, and it still occasionally takes a while before the blueotth screen pops up. It is really annoying as it is not another piece of software causing it, as I have tried a hard reset and used it with no other software installed and it still kept hanging for 30 seconds or so. If anyone can find the cure I will make a hefty donation to this site as this problem is really irritating!!! :evil:

I forgot to try it (a phone call came in just after I installed

I haven't tested it yet either, will do this weekend unless the expiration date has been and gone. Thank you for your hard work in advance though. Out of interest, I take it you intend to sell this software after it has been tested- how much were you thinking of?
John Smith - I said I would make a donation to this site - I have been a member for a couple of months now and I haven't donated yet, so I thought it would be a good opportunity. If the person who has spent time designing their own application wants to charge for it, then that is their right surely! I know we would all rather have things for free, as there is a load of free useful software on this site, but still...!

A question for xda gurus

About two months ago during one of the numerous rom flashings on my SPVM3100 , I came across a strange issue. I called Orange many times and they changed my SIM card twice but finally said they don't understand this and gave it up. My SPVM3100 is over two years old - so they're not gonna replace the device.
Here's the issue:
whenever someone leaves me a voice mail, instead of receiving the normal "voice mail" notification and it's icon in Today screen, I receive a text message! These texts are unreadable (consisting of only 2 signs, like a triangle sign and an @ sign. Or an @ sign with an underline sign _).
Whenever I receive such texts , I know that I have a voice mail ! I dial the voice mail service, listen to the voice message and delete it. But each time my voice mail box becomes empty another annoying text is sent to me - perhaps cofirming that the mail box is now empty (I wish I could read this new sign language )
The phone shows that the texts are coming from the SIM Card !! (so we thought that perhaps the SIM has problems and that's why Orange changed my SIM Card twice).
This is really annoying.
The Orange tech people exhausted their knowledge for the past 2 months but couldn't solve this problem , gave it up altogether , and are now asking me to contact HTC ! (which I'm sure would be useless).
That's why I'm asking this from xda developers and gurus to see if they have any explanation for this bizarre behavior of my device.

have you tried flashing with a different rom? i know similar things would happen on motorola phones, and required hex editing of certain files to turn that feature off.

A six-month-old critically annoying problem was solved in 30 seconds
I am sure we all know xda developers and gurus are genius.
As I said in the post, almost all technical guys & gals in Orange did literally exhaust all their knowledge & experience in the past six months to solve this issue but it was obvious that they didn't absolutely have any clue what the cause of the problem was; whereas Olipro had found the cause and the remedy very quickly.
This is really serious because Orange is a huge multi-billion corporation and they claim to have their own top developers/programmers/technicians and yet they shamelessly suck !
Now on to my second question :
On almost all original (HTC and AT&T) ROMs , the HTC Home Plugin shows the network as "Orange". But on some of the cooked ROMs the network is shown as "UMTS Orange". I know the meaning of UMTS and I understand that whether the network is shown as "Orange" or "UMTS Orange" the phone appears to function the same.
I just want to know what happens in some cooked ROMs that the phone recognizes the network of the SIM card as "UMTS Orange" and not the usual "Orange" ? I talked to some Orange technicians, their replies are really rediculous - one of them kept saying: "you must change your mobile settings" ! But she didn't have a clue what she was talking about as she didn't know where those damn "mobile settings" were and how they could be changed! I can swear she had never held an SPVM3100 or a Kaiser in her hand.
I've searched the forum but haven't been able to find a clear answer yet. I am asking this question just to improve my personal knowlege on this issue.

I get the same problem too when installing new Cooked ROMs.
In order to get rid of the 'UMTS' in front of the Operator name you have to edit a registry entry.
Use a registry editor and navigate to: HKLM---> Software---->OEM---->Phone Setting
In there find an entry labelled 'Enable3GLongName' And change it from 1 to 0.
Restart you're device and it should just say 'Orange'

Thanks bro. Yesterday, before reading your reply I reflashed my device and
this nwe Binky11's V3.8 ROM got it right. So for now, I don't need to do the registery; however, I made a note of your advice for future reference.
I should keep reading to see what happens in most cooked WM6.1 ROMs that they get the network name as such and why the original ROMs get it right.

I can not get my bank java application to either send sms or connect to internet for activation or transaction. Pls help.

I think he just believes there to be an error with "java" with this rom.
he is not asking us to do anything other than tell him how to fix the java.
Firstly you should not have made a new thread, should have asked it in the Rom thread where people are more likely to help.
Secondly java is working fine in 3.2
Did you install 3.2 after a wipe or straight from 3.1? if so that might be your problem

Thank you Lennyuk. That was exactly my problem. I actually installed 3.2 straight from a stock rom and while the java was okay as in the program runs, I was unable to get it to activate (needs and sms or gprs for that). It just stays there for ever either sending a message or connecting with no result.
My suspicion is that there is a permission issue or something.
And I have made a post in the main thread, but it appeared buried in the issue of MMS etc.
As for my dull friend who equates every Nigerian to a scammer, I advice that you look well sometimes before you leap. You can check my profile on this board, I have been here for a long time. Pls watch what you say to people, leaping at people like an alsatian dog on community forums like this does not portray you as civilized.

You may be right with the permission issues there, as for a fix I am not so sure. maybe you should try asking in the main forum again now as the mms issues have gone away.

Try this:
Delete the "java" folder on your sdcard (NOTICE! You'll lose every java program installed already). Then reinstall them again. These actions may will bring them back to life. Make sure you can reinstall them before doing so.
BTW, Make sure your mms and internet connection work with other programs such as htc mail, original mms progam and etc... If they're simply not working, you may need to ask your provider about how to set them up.

Hello, need a solution as well. My Mig33 Midlet will not access internet for some reason.
I have a o2 xda IIi, which i removed the o2 today screen. ever since then any programs in midlet manager can not access internet. Can anyone help out there.

could these be Windows 6.5 bugs/quirks

After downloading Windows Mobile 6.5 on my touch pro 2, I've notice some issued that I didn't have before and I'm wondering how to fix them. The first one is that the clock is about 5 minutes slower than the real time. I assumed it set to the network, and I know people who also have T-mobile and their phones are on the correct time. I tried to manually set it, but it always returns to the wrong time. Bad for me since my phone is my watch and I'm always late anyway! Also, the HTC weather widget (the one that is right under the clock on the touch flo 3d home screen) is STUCK on New York even though I love in Orlando. When I first put 6.5 on the phone, it would always be on "my location" whatever that was, but now it's stuck on New York. I can't see any way to change this. I went into the weather app that comes on the phone and actually moved New York and set Orlando as my only location and turned the phone on and off and it's still stuck on New York... I don't care what the weather is in New York! I called T-mobile and they said it was because I needed a new SIM card (I've been using the same one since 2002 when I first signed up with Tmo). I went the store and they refused to give/sell me a new SIM card... they said they had no clue what was causing the problem, but they knew the SIM card had nothing to do with it. I also have problems when entering text on the device. Before I upgraded to 6.5, when I entered text in a field (say in the google search filed or in an e-mail message field) when I got to the end of the visible area, it automatically scrolled so I could see what I was typing. Now, when I get to the end of the field, I can still type, but it disappears beyond the realm of vision and will not scroll. I showed the people at the T-mo store and they also had no clue (but they did try to sell me a useless insurance policy). Does anyone know what to do about these issues or how to resolve them? I'd really appreciate any feedback you may have. As always, thanks )

seriously i believe no one has this problem....at least for me,i never see this thing,it is always as acurate as my PC.
what rom are you using?will you try to flash another popular rom to see the difference?

I use the weather-localization feature to see how cold it is outside. Great to have such ability to look at your phone in the hall and know if a jacket is needed

Are you on T-Mobile? People on T-Mobile are reporting the problem.

Hi everybody, maybe anyone knows me, this is my first post anyway, I have been here for about 2 years, since I bought my HTC S621 "Excalibur". It has been 2 comfortable years with my best friend Excalibur...but It's time to say goodbye, because his battery don't work like before... It just lives 1 hour and then I have to connect it... so, i was looking for a new HTC cellphone, and I will buy a HTC Tattoo I'm so happy, but i have a few problems...
One of them is, my contacts, OMG! when I turned on my cellphone today and connected it to the PC, the traditional sound that appears when a USB is connected changed for other so strange o_o ... and never recognise it... I took a backup of my contacts with the Sim Manager that comes with ROM that I downloaded from here, so I want to know if there is anyway to restore my contacts to the outlook with that file *.dcb that the Sim Manager generates for me.
I really don't want to restore it one by one ToT so please, there should be a solution for this problem ToT... Thanks in advance...

Hi, great device the excalibur I still used it since I bought a new battery. I can't let go my precious excalibur. Regarding the contact backup, just do a quick search and you will find tutorials and many other things related. On that note, thread closed.
