I have been waiting for this case for a while now!! I have been in constant contact with Ballistic about the release date and so forth through phone and email. After they posted the new pics of the redesigned back, and delayed the release even further...I went out and bought the Seidio Innocase Rugged with Holster and LOVE it!! Was considering the Otterbox Defender as I love the Impact and Commuter but the Defender got horrible reviews....
SO, with 40%, I will probably jump back on board. At $50....I'll stick with my RUGGED and like it!! The Seidio Rugged seriously is an AWESOME case, and having the Innocase too is nice. I bought it just for work, the evenings and weekends I let the Evo run around naked. Though I have found myself taking off the exoskeleton and silicone case and leaving on the Innocase in the evenings...its pretty nice!

I have to disagree on the Seidio case. I thought it was great when I first got it, but after just a couple weeks the port covers were tearing back into the case and I had to cut them off to stop the tearing. Then one day when I went to take the skeleton off, a piece of it just snapped off in my hand. The camera cover wouldn't stay pinned back anymore, so I had to cut that off too. Finally, the holster is a really poor design. The lock gets unlocked too easily and then the phone can just fall out. It should be made so you push down to lock it and pull up to unlock.

That sucks!! Hope that doesnt happen to mine. Mine is actually the Best Buy Platinum brand version. Which appears to be slightly different than the ones branded Seidio. I think they took the flaws from the Seidio branded cases and fixed it on the Platinum branded cases, or so I heard (really looks that way too). For those who dont know, the Platinum brand that Best Buys sells is just Seidio product with a different brand name stamped on it (it even says Seidio on the bottom of all of the packages :-D )
I bought my Seidio Rugged from Amazon..not a port cover has torn or a piece of the skeleton broke off in my hand.
I read this in all the reviews..and all I could do was facepalm and make the purchase KNOWING that these behemoths' were just trying to rip the case off rather than "REMOVE" it. A little finesse goes a long way.
I won't replace my Rugged, just like I never replaced my Seidio case for my G1 way back. I will cheat on my rugged for 40% off that sexy looking ballistic though..even though at full price it's ugly.

Mine lasted since the release date until I broke the skeleton a couple weeks ago. No problems with anything else. The rubber on the replacement they sent is quite a bit heavier and the exoskeleton a slightly different design. I told them it would be nice if just the skeletons were available to buy separately in the Seido store and they said they'd pass that on to sales. If you guys have any problems tell them the same. Oh yeah and colors would be nice too.

Actually, I wasnt "ripping" it off. I just used my fingernail to pull back the corner and release it and it just fell off in my hand. However, I still use it every day and it still does a good job of protecting my EVO. I would just expect more from a case that costs $50 and claims to be "rugged". I preordered mine, so it was one of the first batch. Maybe the newer ones really are better.
Discount or not, I do plan on getting the red Ballistic case when they are available.

Just got this in the mail. It covers all of my buttons (volume rocker, and power) and leaves everything lined up perfectly for the plugs. Yea I got one from ebay as well for..$5.95 I believe. It's not the best case but it fits like a glove and is raised above the screen and camera to prevent you from setting it down straight on them. It adds a little bit of width but truthfully this is just an In-between until the casemate barely there, and it's a cheap way to protect your phone until then!

the description says Anti Dust Silicone Material, do you get any lint/dust on the case? My last silicone case for the Evo4G is a dust magnet, it pretty much picks up all the pocket lint I've in my jeans.

Silicone can stretch, tear and become loose over time.
TPU does none of those and will always return to the original shape.

I honestly haven't had any problems, and I have had it in my pocket almost the entire day. No stretching, loose ends, I can't really verify it is anti-dust, because I have had the phone for a day lol. It feels great.
I'm glad I don't have to be paranoid of my phone all of the time now.

How would you know? You don't have the case?
I couldn't rip this case, unless I was literally trying to. And the case makes a "lip" over the screen, in case you want to set it on the table screen first. As far as stretching goes, I paid 8 dollars for an awesome case. If I need to replace it (2 years would be my guess), I will do so.
The great thing about Silicone, is that it looks clean and never gets scratches, looks cheap, and fits great on the phones.
Take my word for it or pay 24.99 at the Sprint store lol. The case didn't even cover the entire outside of my phone, and I broke the kickstands on it almost immediately. Complete garbage.

In my experience, silicone cases are a temporary fix at best. I have bought several and always end up replacing them within a few weeks. But for the price, it's probably not a bad temp case until you find the best one for your needs. I ordered a TPU case for $9 and hope to get it today as I just got my phone from letstalk yesterday.

love mine feels like a rearth. dont think it will stretch feels great in the pocket. doesnt stick like others i have had with other phones. but feels great in the hand im in hot weather so i have sweaty hands from time to time. so the tpu get kinds slippery. this gel i like a lot. recommend def till you find what you like a hard case. or like me a case with a kickstand. and i found it for like 5 dollars on ebay or amazon.

Hey guys i just got this case in the mail today. Its called the Seidio Active, it is half silicon and half hard plastic the hard plastic has a nice rubberized grip to it. It feels like a nice strong case, but i haven't gotten to test it out yet,and dont plan on anytime soon! Its doesn't make the phone too bulky it says its only 2.2mm thick with the case on.

I got my Seidio Active yesterday and love the case. It's light but still tough enough to protect the phone in case of a drop. It raises the camera and screen off whatever surface you lay it on and also covers volume/power buttons. Would highly recommend!
+1; I owned an HTC Inspire 4G before I left AT&T for Sprint, and I had a Casemate Tough Case on that, which I loved. Since Casemate didn't make that case for the Nexus S 4G, I settled on the Seidio, and fell in love with it. Now I have one on my Epic 4G Touch, and I couldn't be happier. I was worried about my phone not fitting in the universal adjustable dash mount I have, but it fits even with the case.

I ordered Mine after I ordered My E4GT, Got My case in the mail 2 days after I got the phone, Love how it Protects my phone and actually doesn't add too much bulk plus it adds grip so the phones not slipping every which way. It was either this or the Surface, which I have had a bad experience with when I had my EVO 4G, lets just say I'm glad that the silicon won't scratch the phones case unlike the hard shell of the surface.

Yeah at first the case does collect a bit of dust but in like 2 weeks it will stop being like that mine only collects bits of dust under the hard plastic part now and not on the silicon you can see

I have this case in all clear. All the holes line up correctly as long as you put it on right. The only issue I have with it is the kickstand rubs on the back of the phone when you open it and may eventually leave small marks if used enough.
I ordered the same case in black without the kickstand and I am going to put my FlyGrip back on it. This thing is awesome as long as you don't mind the extra thickness.

Is a nice case. I was looking for it myself until i bought the rock. However, I think this is a knockoff of the Nillkin case. I look everywhere for the Nillkin and was selling for over 20 bucks so i end up passing.

I received the case yesterday. I'll tell you what, if it is a knockoff, they did a pretty damn good job. The case isn't as "plasticy" as I thought it was. It has a hard rubbery feel to it. It looks exactly like the one in the pics, to a tee.

I tried out a Body Glove case at an at&t store and it feels way better than the case I mentioned above. I finally put my Flygrip on it today. It's a bit expensive, but it makes the phone more comfortable and you really can't tell the difference in your pocket. It also helps keep the speaker off wherever you placed your phone so it doesn't dampen your notifications / ringtones.

It's actually pretty nice so far! The matte pieces are harder plastic, and the clear parts are softer TPU. I was a little worried that the sides would be uncomfortable to hold, but the texture is fairly dull so they don't poke your fingers.
The big draw for me was the kickstand, which is mostly ok. It works, in that it flips out. I do have two concerns though... (1) as you can see, there's no other layer underneath, so when it's open that part of the back case is exposed. This isn't a big problem except I expect it to trap a bit of lint and stuff. Then, (2) hopefully there is enough clearance for it to open that it's not rubbing on the phone all the time. It's also a little hard to get a fingernail in there to open it, but not horrible. It's hard to complain too badly for $7.50, including a screen protector, a neat little stylus (which is actually pretty great, probably the best touchscreen stylus I've used so far), and an entertaining Engrish manual.
Disclaimer: Fitment review is TBD, however, it fits my new cardboard GS3 pretty well (pictured) Now, I just need my real one! I also got the clear version to show off my pebble blue, as opposed to the pictured "white" model.
Edit: I should also note that I got some of those XtremeGuard body skins that were on sale and plan to put them on as well. So, hopefully that will protect the back case against possible wear from the kickstand, as well as mitigating the issue with that section of the case being "open".

i always run a defender once they're available, so im used to them. i even liked the one on the note 7 as well. if i didnt have a bulkier case i'd probably trash a phone within a few weeks.
Giving the so call "military grade" design I say get a basic case or if lifeproof make one get that. Everyone have their choice though so ehh lol otter box will make it bigger to an already big phone...

i get it... perhaps i would reconsider if the v20 were water resistant.
So far I'm loving the OtterBox case is about the same size as my Note 4 with its OtterBox case and given that I'm moving today the phone probably see some abuse and I'm glad it's wrapped up in a nice safe package

So far I'm loving the OtterBox case is about the same size as my Note 4 with its OtterBox case and given that I'm moving today the phone probably see some abuse and I'm glad it's wrapped up in a nice safe package

I picked up my phone today and got the defender as well. This is probably the hardest defender to remove. I nearly ripped off multiple fingernails. Can't wait for a decent tempered glass so can rip this crappy plastic out.

I'm going to pick up the defender today as well. How is the built in protector compared to previous defender cases? I used to always use them but eventually moved away. I never liked how it seemed to have a gap against the screen, has that changed?

This one seems to fit pretty tight with no gap and no extract tapping sound whenever you tap the screen. I'm having absolutely no issue with this 1
Yeah, mines fits crazy snug and once it gets some hand oil on it glides just as good as the glass.

I'm waiting for the zerolemon case and hoping for at least 9k mah. But looks like they don't make full cases anymore so will have to see if a tempered can fit under it. My Note 3 10k mah one works with my tempered.

I picked up the defender yesterday. I was initially impressed, they have really improved the built in screen protector from what I remember. The outer shell is also improved, it doesn't seem as "rubbery" as before...
I think I am going to return it though. It seems just too large and it feels slightly more difficult to unlock with the fingerprint reader.
I will likely just go with the Ole' Bessy, shell holster case and a good screen protector.

Great pictures of both of the phones, specifically the LG v20.
I still miss my note 7, **** we were all spoiled by it haha.
Anywho, I got the LG V20 and have been going through cases left and right trying to decide which one to put on. I stopped on the VRS design with kick stand. However, it is kinda slippery and I do not like that. Additionally, I am still trying to find a screen protector (preferably tempered glass one), but the ones I installed do not adhere to the very bottom and very top. I do not know why, but probably due to slight curvature of the screen.
I have the Poetic Case with the built in screen protector, and it really reminds me of the otter box but like 3 times cheaper . However, the other box seems nicer, but just a bit bigger.
I noticed the screen proctor, has a minor gap when touching the screen. Does the otterbox have that gap as well or it fits almost as nicely as a regular screen protector would?
I have installed a wet application screen protector yesterday, it adhered nicely but I see minor bubbles a little below the center of the screen which is annoying. I am not sure if they will go away or not.
