hey guys, id really appreciate if someone could explain to me the diff builds that are out there and what the diffrences are. up until very recently i though 6.1 has two builds, 19199 and 19209. now ive just discovered a third, 19716. whats it all mean??? thanks in advance
19199 was the first official WM6.1 build that was leaked. 19209 was an updated version of that. 19716 was an internal Beta that was leaked, however the build number is misleading - it's actually a fair bit older than 19199 and 19209.
dose anyone know how to put the the latest wm6.1 build into build os? i want to use it for my next rom.
I've been meaning to upgrade to 6.1 (is it final yet?), and since schaps seems to only post here once a month now, I decided to look into other packages.
Is the 6.1 final already? Whose build comes closest to schap's 6.0?
There is no official build of 6.1 so no it's not final and the nearest ROM to Schaps rom is Schaps beta 6.1 (4.40 I think). You can't equate any of the later ones to Schaps as that's to broad a question. Of the latest ROMS I find the latest builds on 19209 and later to be the most stable etc. You may not get a consensus on that so best things is to try a few for yourself.
NONE...All the great cooks have unique WM6.1 roms. For me, the build 19209 by DVH is excellent! As mentioned above, U need to test with your own device, carrier, radio, apps, etc.....

From what i've seen on the cooking scene, Different core's come from different phones and different sources.. No changelogs attached... It really would be up to the beta tester or user who shares the dump to attach anything that came from microsoft on it.. Haven't seen one myself!

usually the higher the build number, means the newer the OS, which means the kernel might be better! atleast that is what my understanding is. i dont know if this is a good theory or not, as there is no official WM6.1 release for hermes!

from history we've learned that in the microsoft world, higher number is newer but doesn't mean better. I can be new features or just new bugs
That's why I wanted to know if there is an official microsoft changelog to know what changed in the build... so that way we can choose for example between bulilds 20270 and 20273 based on that....

20273 came from Diamond phone, 20270 not official. I think it was beta released.
I was wandering is there anyone can cook up a new wm6.5 rom with latest built? I have a feeling that asus isn't going to release an official rom upgrade, so i was wondering if there is anyone can help cook one?

Build 21812 was out atleast... Dunno if there's a more recent build around for the P835
My guess is your best bet is to pm hdubli to see if he still has the kitchen or if he cooked anything else for the device...
Hi I have been using winmo 6.5 for build 21812 cooked by Hdubli
however there are some more recent builds and I wanted to try a rom with a newer and final build for 6.5 , please someone help us.
Already got in touch with Hdubli before this thread and he is on another model of phone, not P835 anymore.
still no luck so far. But i'm using 21812 build now. Kind of usable. I think at least better than using the old 6.1. But feels a bit glitchy. Seems like the touch screen is not as responsive as before, just a little.
oh well.. at least thanks to the person that made this ROM for us.
