Hi guys (and gals)... I'm having difficulty lately running OnCourseNavigator 8 on my ATT Tilt 2. (OCN is the North American version of iGo.) It keeps saying it can't find a 400_800.bmp file and quits.
I've heard on the forums that people are running iGo8 quite happily on their TP2s, so I'm looking for a distributor whom I can talk to about an upgrade/swap for OCN.
Anyone have any suggestions? I tried NavNGo directly, but so far, they haven't responded to my emails.
Thanks.

Hi All
I've been looking at getting a Qtek 9090 for a while now and I have seen lots of postings talking about the t-mobile mda iii supporting blackberry etc and maybe the odd posting where someone in the UK has got a xda2s or 9090 to do it using a particular rom.
Can anyone say that they have witnessed a 9090 with ANY rom on it that supports blackberry in the UK with Vodafone?
I'm really keen to get this going as it should be my ultimate device!
Thanks
Will.
Blackberry support has to be implemented at the provider end, as well as with the client software. Does Vodafone have Blackberrys?
Chris
Vodafone UK supports both Blackberry Internet Service (formerly Blackberry Web Client) and Blackberry Entreprise Server.
For BIS pricing Check Vodafone Blackberry Price Plan
As for the Blue Angel software, T-Mobile's Germany ROM supports the Blackberry Connect. Confirmation can be found here.
For a list of supported devices check Blackberry Connect. Scroll down to the paragraph that says Available Operating Systems and Devices.
Hope this helps.
I'm using Blackberry from T-Mobile UK. Using the ROM supplied by T-Mo UK Customer Services. It only works with their radio ROM, which means no radio upgrades possible. Push emails are great, but this version doesn't seem to be able to handle attachments (larger than a few kb).
Ok, thats all fine - we already have a vodafone BES server etc using standard blackberry handhelds and also nokia 6810 mobiles.
The real question though is - although t-mobile have got the MDA iii working with blackberry abroad (and with their radio rom) - is it possible to install their radio/roms etc onto the 9090 successfully?
I need to get the device (whatever I get) sim-free, and I am having trouble finding an mda iii sim-free in the uk...
Thanks
Will.
The T-Mobile ROM is available on this site:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Upgrades
The BlueAngel is available SIM free from eXpansys.com and I got mine considerably cheaper from justtelecoms.com and it comes with the BB ROM already installed.
JT also do it on 1 year and 2 year contracts
Ok, thanks for that.
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=QTEK_9090 is what I've been looking at getting
Can I presume that it is perfectly possible to install the t-mobile roms onto a qtek 9090 and then unlock to any network (as I'd need to use my voda sim)
Thanks
Will.
I beleive the Q9090 from expansys is already unlocked and yes, you can install any rom.
The JustTelecomms option comes with the correct rom already installed and they will sell it sim free for £330 and unlock it for only £15 or you can use the free unlock tool available here on xda-developers.
Can we all assume it will work? Yes.
Can we guarantee it will work? No.
I have bought the XDA IIs on this assumption. Due to lack of time the device is still in its box.
In the meantime I am still using my Blackberry 7230 but soon I will get my hands dirty and start playing with the XDA. If you're willing to wait a week or two then I'll let you know of the results.
I called justmobile and they don't take credit cards!!
Any other suggestions?
Hi
I have finally presuaded Vodafone that their V1620 is buggy and they don't know what they are doing.
They have offered to replace it with a QTEK 2020i.
Is this worth doing or should I go for a refund?
Cheers.
Robin
Robin - just recently got a 1620....I would be keen to understand the problems that you have experienced.
I'm waiting for a new one already since the one I got isn't recognised via Activesync.
Well like many of these phones running the 1.3 roms there are problems with bluetooth and not being able to hear the person on the other end of the call.
Also it keeps shutting off/rebooting AND has taken to hard reseting.
Now the interesting thing is getting anyone in Vodafone to admit the damn things exist.
There is NO INTENTION of doing th erom upgrades to 1.4 that O2, T-Mobile, Qtek, i-mate etc have done. Not on the plans at all.
So I have given up and plan on getting a refund.
Robin
Hi everyone!
I just had my O2 Xda Orbit delivered three days ago and decided to order as well the CoPilot Live package as I will be using the GPS quite a lot. I spoke to O2 Customer Services before they sent me the whole lot to ask them to send me the CoPilot Live box with the Western Europe maps... They told me that it shouldn't be a problem as the O2 Orbit was released as well in Germany so I expected that package with those maps but guess what?, they sent me the UK & Ireland maps only...
After a few phone calls to O2 Business Customer Services, they told me that "O2 UK would only supply UK & Ireland maps" and for the Western Europe ones I would have to upgrade them from the ALK Technologies website and "they probably would charge me something"...
My question is: is it worth getting that upgrade or should I better return the CoPilot package to O2 and get TomTom 6 for the Orbit? Any experiences on those 2 programs in the Orbit so far? Which one do you think runs better? And which one has an easier installation?
Your opinions will be appreciated... Thanks!
Hi, I had the same problem and finally managed to get the upgrade direct from http://www.easydevices.co.uk/pp/Software/COPILOT_LIVE_6_EUROPEAN_UPGRADE_FOR_O2_XDA_ORBIT.html . I haven't used the European maps yet but am off over Christmas so will let you know how I get on. The UK maps seem all good so far and I haven't got lost yet!
Hello,
I have an MDA Vario II on T-Mobile UK which I bought less than one month ago. I can see that HTC have released an official WM6 upgrade for the phone but I cannot find an official upgrade on T-Mobiles UK site.
Can I use the official HTC WM6 ROM Update Utility and get my phone to WM6? If so when I boot my phone up into WM6 for the first time what must I do to get my GPRS settings etc. back on? Just use the online T-Mobile service which send s them?
I know it sounds like a n00bish question, but I've just got this phone and don't fancy bricking it just yet!
Any links to additional downloads, resources etc. would be well received.
Thanks everyone
Anyone able offer advice? I've done a lot of reading about this on the XDA-Developers site but I'm still in the dark about whether or not something might refuse to work after flashing or how to best avoid the dreaded bricking.
Thanks again

I second that one. I tried to install copilot live 7 on my touch hd. the copilot live came with my previous tytn II. the error message is: "You are not authorized to install this version of the software on this device."
does anyone have some answers?
CoPilot Live 7 was replaced by version 8 a couple years back; you might want to consider upgrading. Price should be pretty reasonable -- the non-upgrade price for CPL 8 is around $40, so the upgrade should be a bit less.
I've run CPL8 on my Tytn 2 and Tilt 2 devices; it works quite well on either.
