Downgrading from TMob 1.72 in order to upgrade to NEW o2 1.7

I've looked for this extensively now but can't find any definitive guide / advice.
I upgraded to 1.72 Tmobile on my XDA2 and of course, now I've done that o2 have released a major update too. I now need to downgrade the phone back to 1.60 or 1.66 in order to then upgrade as it won't allow anything new to be installed - not even the Application Suite will install.
Can someone point me in the right direction to find out the best / safest way to downgrade it?

you don't have to downgrade (in this situation not so easy), you have the country code problem. You can search on this forum how to change the country code of the new O2 release.

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify, if I run the upgrade downloaded from o2, then I get a message saying the program cannot be run as it wasn't designed for my device / software or something. Is this consistent with having the country id problem?

Mmm.. you left quite far behind. But it is not too late. I suggess you to upgrade with o2 Uk ROM like you did, but before doing this, "cook" them first, like what i did. I'm from Indonesia,. yes we are neighborhood.

3. From this guidance, You can update yours without error country ID and not losing your "auto config". the last is the easiest way to activate your GPRS. Yes, Asian Phone Provider, like mine.

Artemis ROM 1.13

Hi all,
I am trying to upgrade to 1.13 with the RRU art_tmouk_11311001_024990_wwe_ship.exe available from the Wiki but I get "Invalid Vender ID"
The reason I want to upgrade is because I bought the device in Geneva Switzerland and it comes in French. I need the device in English.
Can anyone help me get around this please? if at all possible? It would be very much appreciated as I already talked to their support dept and they say it is not possible.

your anger is understandable..., but its not the language they lock, but the rom provider specifics. just by the way, software is licenced to the hardware sold with( parallel to pc & windows ) ....so this is how you should see this. in most cases you will even lose warranty by cid unlocking.

True, but I bought the device HTC branded, on its own. It should be completely unlocked. Completely. This is so inconvenient, of well, do you guys think they will release more languages in future?

Is there any diference between the final and the leaked one?

Is anyone able to download it and stick it on Rapid/Mega/Fileshare please?
whh wouldn't it work on the T-Orange devices?

PS: Not if it matters, since it's a "Nordic" release, but just exchange "SE" for "NO" for the Norwegian webpage.

Tried to download and it wont let me (my Hero is generic HTC) so i guess they have a regionalised serial number database.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but does the fact that this is the Nordic update create any problems for users in other countries/languages? Or will it have English language etc and can easily be installed by English users?

I did wonder why the download has a) disappeared but b) it's a WWE and not a NOR ROM.
Their reasoning seems unlikely tho...

It works 100% for me.
Previous was stock ROM, just rooted. Hadn't touched the radio either.
Both phone and radio ROM is now updated.
I use English language (and keyboard) with Norwegian dictionary.

No problem here either....Stock rom, non rooted.

What stock ROM? Doesn't the stock Euro ROM give you the option of picking the language when you first boot the phone and set it up? Is Spanish not one of those choices?

Have you tried this? The stock rom should have Spanish. If it isn't there, Find a rom that has spanish, like this one and Flash it like this.

You shouldn't need to flash anything, Spanish is built into the stock ROM. Select the language as linked in the previous post.
There should be not just one, but SIX different choices for Spanish (different regions).

What country are you in. Where did you buy the phone?
If you go to Settings>About phone>Software information, what Build number and Software number is listed?

I thought all of Europe used the stock EU ROM, so I'm surprised that it doesn't have Spanish on it. If I'm understanding you correctly, you've gone to the language selection as previously stated, and Spanish is just not listed?
You may be able to flash the stock EU ROM without rooting. But it would be handy if you told me what ROM version you are on (which I already asked, and you neglected to answer).
Otherwise, root, g-free and flash Virtuous custom ROM, which definitely has Spanish on it.

What language options does your rom have available?
go to settings -> language & keyboard -> select language
my TyTN 2 has, among others, Espanol (Espana) and Espanol (Estados Unidos). I can't believe that this POS old phone would have more language options than a brand new DZ.

It occurs to me that the stock Euro ROM is labelled "WWE" as in World Wide English. So that ROM might only have English.

If true, I find that amazing, considering the multitude of EU countries the Euro DZ is being sold in (but would explain a lot as far as the OP's issue). The Virtuous ROM is built of the Australian 1.85 ROM, and has more languages than I can even list, including some I've never even heard of!
The OP might need to flash a different ROM. Virtuous is probably a good choice, if he want the same Sense experience as his stock.
