Hey,
i recently got a HTC Touch Pro 2 and i'm quite happy with it. Nice phone all in all. Just that when i receive a call while the phone is in my pocket it automatically presses the "send text message" button in the right bottom. This makes it send the message "I am busy right now i'll call u back later" blabla. Anyone knows how to turn this off?
I have looked around this forum, google and the phone itself but i can't find it anywhere..
Thanks!
Phone, Menu, Options, Advanced tab.
Uncheck "reject call with text message".
The button you are pressing is rejecting the call. It will keep doing this, just without sending a text.

Hm is there a way to fully disable the button? I prefer using the slide to refuse a call, not just press a button. Also i'm using the default HTC WM 6.5 rom..

Yeah it does, but the problem is i keep accidentally pressing the button in the bottom right. This making me refuse the call without wanting it.

Hey...Doesnt matter how many messages I receive in t-mobile rhodium it always says i have 25 messages...also I always have to stay on the message for a very long time for it to disappear as a new message...Ive tried searching the forums for my problem but I coudlnt really find the solution. Maybe its there and im sorry for the extra thread.
Thanks if anyone can help me
unmute/mute button
Also the unmute/mute button at the back of the phone under the camera doesnt work..it has no function in my phone when i press it...any solution for that?
For the thing about the phone only saying you have 25 messages, how in the hell did you miss the "All Messages" button in the lower left hand corner?
Pretty sure that mute button is just for calls, not general usage of the phone, might wanna read the manual next time champ.
I have the all messages button on the corner but phone always displays like 1/25 when a new message comes...doesnt matter how many messages i have in the phone
and also the mute button doesnt work even during calls even when i have the speakerphone on..
When you say 1/25, do you mean the message previews on the Message Manila tab?
Yes..When i press the message icon on the manila..

I got the impression that the 'mute' button is to mute the microphone (not the speakers) when the speakerphone is activated when you place the TP2 face down.
Using CM6 and I have a annoying issue. I don't know if this was intended as a feature or maybe just an issue on my part. I'd like to be able to go into call log, tap on a missed call/contact, and have it automatically call.
If I want to call my gf I have to long press her name and select call. Is there a way to enable this. I check through the call log preferences and didn't see anything.
Basically need to tap on a contact in my call log and automatically call them. I DON'T want to have to long press.
Judging on it's behavior it looks like it was intended this way.
I think it threads calls by day, and if there were multiple calls in that day you click on you're going to expand the thread.
Otherwise clicking on the call then I get the option to call in the next screen... so 2 maybe 3 clicks at most.
I don't think it is an issue, but the design. I could understand you just want to click to call but it gives you multiple options when clicking on the missed call.

Or you could just open the Phone app, Press Menu >> Preferences, scroll down to Call Log, and click "Show Dial Button".
Nahh... you're right, it's intended that you should be forced to long-press.
Yeah I always redial from my call log so its annoying. Thanks that worked I saw that option but didn't know what it meant. This works perfect.

If you press the arrow on the right side of the call log, it will call that person.
Well, I am feeling stupid but every time I get a text it vibrates and to my knowledge I have vibrate turned off everywhere possible yet it doesn't seem to matter. I'm hoping there is not something wrong.
Is there somewhere I am not looking?
Go into messaging app, hit menu key, settings, scroll all the way down and uncheck vibration

Does anyone know how to reject a call on HTC One with a message. Had this option handy on S3, really missing this option in HTC one.
Sorry if this is already posted

If the phone is off you drag up to decline, then drag up the messaging bubble . You'll 5-6 predefined texts, or enter your own.
If the phone is on, tap decline, then choose to send a message from the following dialog that auto-appears.
If you don't see either, open your phone app, hit the settings (...) and scroll down to the bottom.
Check "Declined Calls".

Thank you..
It does seem to be working when the phone is locked, but not when the phone is not locked. Tap on the Decline is simply disconnecting the call but there is no popup.
In the call setting the Declined Call setting is checked.

No problem. There is a check box in that mode to "not show this option" to you again (see attached). Maybe you accidentally hit? I'm not sure how you'd undo it. Maybe uncheck then re-check the Declined Calls box we talked about above?
Factory reset? I don't see anything else in the phone settings or messaging app that look useful.

Ah yeah, cool. I had that checked, must've missed it in my quick look. Glad you're set now--
Hi! I hope this is the right place to ask. It may sound stupid but I just cannot turn off the auto sms feature on HTC Wildfire S. An automated sms is sent while the phone is in the locked state.
It shouldn't do that, but I know when I was using the WFS and I would drag the red dismiss/decline button to the lock ring I would sometimes then have to tap end call. I had voice mail turned off so maybe it was trying to send a message? It didn't seem to use minutes.
Did you know that when the phone is ringing there's a menu that is only available at that time, whether you're locked or unlocked when it rings...just tap the menu button on the bottom and you can mute the ring and let it ring through to voice mail. Curiously this is where I thought one had to go to send the SMS message, which I used to do when I was low on minutes...I set my message to say I was low and please text or email me...still after it sent the SMS I'd have to then tap on end call. Anyway, check what's in that menu, and if it still sends the SMS if you simply select decline from that menu. My other thought would be to press the power button twice to reject the call and see if it still sends the SMS. One last suggestion would be, in call settings, select to edit message before sending and when it wants to send the SMS and opens for editing, maybe cancel it, or set it to send blank if you're worried more about what you're saying than minutes?
