I am not sure how the functionality will remain after?
Can native android will have same features without sense?
syncing exchage? facebook? non htc calendar app? contacts?
how does the stick android keybord feels like?

Is it possible to remove the HTC sense phone, txt and contacts apps.
I prefer the Android version alot to the HTC ones.

Dam... so is it possible to install just the HTC camera on say a Cyanogen 6 ROM?
If one was to remove the default HTC phone, txt and contacts and isntall Android and set as default I cant see a problem.
Can anyone point me in the direction of ripping apk's from a image. I've got various Sense and non Sense ROMS and I'd like to look into having together my perfect ROM.
I want the Friend Stream app from HTC Sense on my CM6 RC1, and the weather app. Wouldnt mind the nice transparent bottom menu I've seen in some Foroy sense ROMS.
I use Froyo now and miss the HTC SENSE experience on my MOD.
Especially the HTC-Sync feature.

I am sure this has been done to death, and I have searched, but keep twisting myself around and around.
I recently installed CyanogenMod 6.0.2 with LauncherPro Plus and really like it, but I do miss some of the Sense stuff and, as such, am considering heading back to a Sense based ROM...at least for now.
That said, I much prefer the way that Cyanogen deals with Syncing Google, Twitter and Facebook Contacts. I think it is the Facebook and Twitter for HTC Sense that cause my pain..as I can't setup a standard facebook/twitter sync option.
Does anyone have a ROM recommendation for Sense based, but without these apps installed? So I can sync my contacts etc like I can in Cyanogen?

I love everything about CM6, however I miss contact groups, is it possible to install an apk to get the contacts/people from sense on my phone?
HTC sense apps will not work on AOSP roms.

Yes i have now HD2 with pure Android 2.3. After come from WM 6.5 i missing User Interface HTC Sense. I really like Android 2.3 and i hate WM 6.5 for now but i looking for HTC Sence UI because i like it.

Well, if you're using gingerbread, you can always try LauncherPro Plus from the market. Its well worth the money and provides you with similar widgets used in Sense for roms that do not have Sense frameworks included. In other words, if you want the People, FriendStream, Calendar, etc. widgets to use, that is a great alternative since you cannot run Sense-based widgets/apps on AOSP-based ROMs. Hope that helps some for you

Not to sound too rude or anything, but either I'm in the wrong board or the OP is. The HD2 has its own Android Development board. So, why would you be posting here in the Evo board? Everything that's been made for the HD2 is cooked a different way than they are for the Evo. We don't even have a Gingerbread rom with HTC Sense yet.
TL;DR: Next time, post in the right board, please and thanks. Evo != HD2
