probably in the next 48 hours or less. I suppose it is similar to that but i have never really seen that one in action. Mine has a lot of different screens with different navigation icons on each depending on waht screen youa re on. I also dont like sounds with WAD2 very much because they are always a little delayed. I did obtain the windows 7 icon pack so am too using actual icons but of course ther arent always icons for everything you want to do so I have created some myself. I am still creating some docks and buttons to increase functionality as well so HOPEFULLY i will have enough free tim ebetween work and my family to get it out the door and up on swampthing. stay tuned

No, i havent dived into Mortscropt yet which would probably make that possible. For now just the buttons press

I have found a limitation of WAD2 that involves to many docs in a theme. I emailed everyone who purchased and downloaded this theme from me so let me know if you didnt get the email. I made a new version wihtout the WAD2 limitation.

Pointui Home 2 is Out.
Not testing yet, i just install it, but looks prety great!

Runs and looks great, but things i dont like:
- Too much space at the buttom and
- i had to install it on the internal storage and not on the SD Card
But the rest is, as i said before, great. Good work i think.

Finally!
Looks and feels great - I think I would def upgrade to pro for unified messaging etc.

I dont like it, something is missing

It looks really great and the animations are smooth. But it misses some features but I think they will come some time because it seems rather easy to write Apps for it. Not like Manila where you have many problems with adding your own stuff.

beauty "skin" deep only. not impressed
configurable? look at all the trouble to add a city to the weather....
customization? not even unicode fonts
a thin layer of candy eye skin and after one touch...back to the old WM really, nothing to trade the tf3d for...uninstalled it after 15 minutes!

unfortunately none of that works. Even the folks on the forum are having problems. Looks like it isnt working correctly yet.... but it is still considered beta so ....... modding those files only makes all the weather disappear Guess I will wait on this one for a bit

yes going to have to agree here. I am open to trying out new versions, definitely has potential with some additions and things you mentioned

I was a massive fan of PointUI v1 and had been looking forward to v2 being another huge step forward.
However, I have to say that it looks like a great big bag of crap next to TF3d (and I'm not a big fan of TF3d). Furthermore it seems to have limited functionality, is only a plugin and although it openly states it is a beta, the tone of the feedback in this site is distinctly mixed.
I think I would forgive the bugginess if it just looked better and brought something I thought was useful. But even the screenshots on PointUI's own site look poor quality.
Lastly, the 'Pro' version is paid for software - so how much? What will it do that Mobile Shell and WAD don't? Maybe the applet development will make it a must have...but it certainly needs a few good skinners on the case...
In summary...disappointed - just my personal opinion

Yup aggred , instaled it .. and it was not as " smoth " as the 1.X, why have small buttons?.. why have news feeds?
I have a theme now for TF3D and it kinda looks goods... staying with that for a while .. sorry point guys

I quite like it, but it seems that I'm in the minority.
I've added my home town to the weather applet without any trouble at all, also local news in the today feed. Not sure why someone was having a problem configuring that. Pilot error?

It is hardcoded. I have the same problem on my dutch device.It doesn't find the install path on localized devicesI didn't see any icon neither.
So I started it manually.

Yup, me 2. Now its running and seems to work quite smooth. I´ll will look this up later on, now its just incomplete.

Well I think it looks great, and have been waiting a long time for this.... well not really but seems like it

Basic version always was, customization and skins is where it could shine

Just tried it now and wasn't to fond of it to be honest.
The professional screen just looked overcrowded in my opinion but the lifestyle screen was cool.
I think it would've been a good idea if you had the choice to get rid of one of
the screens.
I've still got it installed but have turned it off and am using TouchFLO again

And you reckon SPB Mobile Shell is ugly! There really is no accounting for taste!

Looks great in landscape! Just need to figure out how to have my other apps open instead of the ugly standard windows mobile apps... i.e. calendar and sms.

At last its released! Was waiting 4 this so long. Now im gonna compare this stuff with Manila. Who is gonna win? Will see.

Why don't you try it? It's a big cab and it has a limited (15 days?) trial.
I ran it a little on my TP and went back to touchflo, it is nice though, definitively worth trying!

The calender is WAY better than the Touch Flo, but other than that, it is just personal preference.

I think SPB shell is much better, due to the ability to customize. Pretty active community as well, meaning a steady supply of new widgets and customizations. Plus it's easy on the battery.
Definitely recommend the 15 day trial.

Since there are no custom roms for the CMDA version I currently use it. I prefer it over touch flow as you can customize it alot more and it uses alot less memory than TF3D does. It has a nice interface and it's fun to use if you get bored with TF3D or regular WinMo 6.1. If you are resourceful enough, you can use it for more than the trial.

tried SPB Mobile Shell,it's gorgous,of course it's better than Malina TouchFlo3D,I like it so much.
but i had to uninstall SPB Mobile Shell,the reason? it is not good at organizing calls and SMS,when there is miss call,SPB Mobile Shell only shows it for a while,then there is no indication you can see that there was a miss call.
this is terribly bad management.

IMHO it was worth it prior to TF3D as plain Windows Mobile 6 was pretty boring.
Now however its kinda like the old guy at the club.

I think touchflo looks nice and clean....BUT, mobile shell is crazy on the personnalization. ? 6 pages for personnalization + weather total of 17 pages with contacts and others .....I love it !

I tried it for day. But I like TF3D better. It's just simpler to me.

Looking forward to that, I'm always changing and opened to new ideas !

Touch Flo has some serious usability problems.
Email and text messaging for instance.
If you want to check those it is a 3 step process most of the time.
SPB did a really good job making it basically a one touch method.
The eye candy is not as good and the calendar needs work but overall its faster to get things done with basically no lag.
The facebook integration IMO is better as well.
Worth the money.

I installed this theme and nothing is displaying correctly. Any ideas on what went wrong/ It seems like nothing is centered correctly.

I haven't had this issue at all. My notifications stay until I view them.
MS3 is always the first program I install on my phones. Love it, can't live without it. I live on the lifestyle screen, customized just how I like it.

I tried it a couple of days ago, and I guess I'm just getting old. There was a LOT of customization that you could do with it but I just didn't feel like going through all that to get it the way I wanted it. Out the box, I still couldn't get what I was looking for. I switched back to TF3D, but that's not to say that one is better than the other. It's really personal choice. I got pretty much all I need with a few tweaks and TF3D, but if I get bored, the Hero skin for SPB MS3 is looking really good.

Does anyone have any idea why when i install this theme it makes everything on my screen jibberish?

I haven't personally installed the theme, I just googled it to see what came up. Try googling it (sence la révolution v2 theme) and looking it up from another website. There are a ton of spb mobile shell theme web sites. There are bunch on here as well.

Tom is a genius regarding UI frameoworks, I am currently using his Fluid Framework (http://fluid.codeplex.com/) which uses only GDI and looks nearly as nice SilverMoon.
If those 2 get a bit more polished this could lead to a new era of rich-gui, fingerfriendly, easy-to-develop applications for Windows mobile.

this is a library for software developers, nothing to install to the touch hd. it's there to develop hardware accelerated controls. you have to wait till a developer creates a software with these controls ^^

Even File Explorer is really fast and special effects are ...mmm .. well ... make me think I have a s****tty iPhone !! Damn cool !! Always thought a good developper could achieve whatever he wanted on Windows Mobile and we found the man !!!

I would definitely love to see such a smooth UI work! Although tbh i don't like the titanium style...but at least it's smooth!
