all ready try that...l discharge battery to 0% and phone turns off..then when it is not able to turn on l put it on wall charger he starts charging in 20-30sec and charge to 100% but it does not stops--l can leave it on charger for 12h and it still displays that is charging..

Has any one find a solution i registry keys, can this be done, this is now confirmed not only my phone has this issue, there are much more ohers with same problem

i hope that i never see that problem again on MR2.

BA turning off if removed from cradle and not turning on again

Hello guys,
I have a problem, i haven't used my VPAIII for 6 months, and some days ago i wanted to turn it on, and it didn't react, so i decided that battery is low, i connected my device to cradle, and wait for some hours. So the problem is then device in cradle it's ok i can switch it on and it works perfectly, but if i remove it from cradle it turns off imediately and i can't turn on it again without connecting to cradle chargement, also it doesnt react to usb connection as chargment. Battery is totaly new it was bought from ebay (expanded 3400 mAH). Interesting thing that if i connect to cradle, device turns on automaticall and 1 time blinks led in red and goes booting system with no led light, after i see Windows screen it starting show the same right led in orange always, i see charging battery meter in windows but battery didnt go more then 50%, and everytime i boot on i receive Backup battery Very Low notification no matter how much i was charging my battery.
So i'm afraid maybe it's internal backup battery failure, or my main battery didn't get chargement then it says that charging. Maybe someone of You guys have any usefull advices, what can be the problem? Also if it possible maybe somebody can give me alink or image to see there this backup battery soldered on scheme.
Thanks ppl!!!

It sounds like the main battery is bad.
Is the battery you picked up new, or new as of 6 months ago? If it's new-new, it is still possible that it is bad.
Also, the charging circuit may have died. Most electronics will work and work, and when they do die, it's usually when power is applied to them (turned on, charged, etc).
The fact that it does charge up to 50% makes me think the main battery is bad. Do you still have the original battery? Try it and see what that does.

The internal battery is used only when the main battery is discharged or missing.
As for a link, hit the wiki.

Thanks for reply, new battery i bought maybe 4-6 months ago i used it maybe 1 week, after that i turned off my device and left it for 4-6 months, so nothing should be happened to battery. I'll check device with old one, but it seems that device didn't work with original old one battery too.
Any other solutions, advices?
Thank You very much guys for help!!!!

problem with new hicap battery

hi all
Just put in my hicap battery-2600mAh yesterday.
all attempts to charge it have failed however.
----------
the problem-
with new batt inserted, i plug in the charge cable
no charge light (orange), no low batt light (red)
once WM is booted, it shows that the status is Charging
but stays stuck at 0% even after an overnight charge.
Taking the charge cable out, the phone is ON for about 20 seconds,
then goes into Standby mode all by itself but does not actually switch OFF or run out of batt after n hour of mucking about on it
-----------
it does not look like a dead battery as it is actually able to hold some amount of charge
a faulty battery perhaps?
or is there a special way to charge brand new batteries?
or a workaround to the problem?
thanks.
suggestions anyone?

I wanted to let you know that I have the same problem with mine too : xda2 s do not like mosot chargers that is what it is but I have found a way around it, this is what you do- switch off the phone and then take off your batt for a split second and then put it back on , now the phone is off , now you can charge it,
It works for me and a few others
=======
but unfortunately ive not been able to get my phone to charge that way.
there dont seem to be a way for me to switch the phone off completely in that, when the little notch is push back in, it immediately boots...

After self turn from low battery, Desire wont turn on

Hi to all, last night my desire ran out of battery and i' was nowhere near my charger cause i left it at my office.
i try to turn it on and send txt message but it was automaticaly turned off again before i can get to the homescreen.
without waiting too long i try to turn it on again and still i can't get to write a single letter cause it was automaticaly turned off itself again.
this morning when i get my hands on the charger i quickly plug the charger but the amber light aren't turning on, yes my desire wont turn on either, i try to connect it with adb and when i type adb devices the adb tool shows there are no devices connected.
Please help me how to turn my Desire on again, fyi i already plug the charger for more than half hour without any led on my phone lights on.
Anyone knows any workaround on this problem, maybe experiencing the same issue?
Thank's in advance
If you're using the stock battery which is Li-on, then the problem might be that you killed it by forcing the usage after the shutdown. Li-on batteries should NEVER be juiced out to a true 0%, or it will die. That's why the Desire turns off most of the time between 10-15% to make sure this doesn't happen. (Other mobile phones do this too, but they report it to you as 0% instead of the arbitrary 10-15%) I do hope so that this is not the case with your problem. Sorry if I only gave an explanation instead of a solution, but that's all I can think about right now.

try removing the battery and put it again. then plug the charge. wait for some time. hopefully it should fix it, else you need to try replacing your battery if it was not replaced recently.

Thank's a lot for your respond my friends
My friend help me by trying to manually (connect the - and the + terminal with his blackberry charger) charge my battery for about a minute and then quickly insert the batt and plug the charger.
The orange light lit again but it took about 7 hours to reach 100%, after i unplug, the batt went down faster than Rossi's motoGP bike
2 hours standby and it went off.
I thought it better be charged again with the phone off and so i did.
After about 20 min, my phone vibrates as if there were a call coming in (phone was off) so in a rush i quickly unplug the phone and took the batt off (i'm worried it will damage my phone)
Since then, the batt won't recharge AGAIN, the orange led aren't lit no more.
Sorry for those long letters, one more question, do you guys think i have to get new battery or should i try to do the charging again?
Thank's in advance

New battery is about £35.. dunno how much that is in Indonesia. I'd strongly recommend buying an original battery also, not a cheap knock off - bad ones can have very poor battery life, overheat, melt (even "explode" sometimes), and just in general kill your phone.
thank's a lot guys, will be lookin' for the genuine replacement today, tell ya the result later.
Thank's again for answering my worries
edit:
Ok guys, i got my genuine new battery which cost me around 24-26 Euro's
Test the battery at the store to show that it was charging and it was charging ok so i turn off the phone and go home.
Plug the charger as soon as i get home and the orange led didn't lit, to make the story short i presume that something is wrong with my phone, it drains the battery whether the phone was on or off!
Sending to the Collect Point for sure tonite after work.
Thank's a lot for you who read and answer my question.

[Q] Charging Problems with GN I9250-XXLFA

Hello,
I bought a GN, I9250, European model, made in China 4 days back from a vendor online.
I am having problems charging the phone.
When PHONE is ON
1. When plugged into the included charger/cable, the battery status shows CHARGING (AC) for a few minutes and then changed to NOT CHARGING. Removing the USB plug or switching off the mains and restarting in a minute takes the status back to CHARGING (AC) but again for a few minutes.
2. Tried with multiple chargers and cables with exactly the same results
3. When the phone is connected to USB port in laptop, the charging happens, for a longer duration. The laptop also detects the phone immediately and I can access files etc. After say 20-30 minutes odd the status again goes to NOT CHARGING. However, while the phone is not charging, I can still access files on the phone. This implies the USB connectivity is still perfect, only the charging has stopped.
4. Under no circumstances does the charge go beyond 50% odd, irrespective of the duration of charging
When PHONE is OFF
1. The phone shows the battery icon with bolt for a few seconds and then shuts off. If I click the power button briefly I can see the battery charging icon.
2. I kept the phone in charging with the wall adapter all night, and got 49% charge only, starting from about 10% when put to charge.
The battery indicator graph shows the phone is has never hit a charge level above 65% types.
I have not seen the other charging issue of the phone showing a bolt in the battery icon even if the phone is not plugged in ! (thank god!!!)
I bought it "as new" condition, and performed a factory reset immediately on receiving the phone. So its running stock applications, with almost everything except voice and 2g data on. No applications except Whatsapp are running.
All other aspects of functionality are working well.
I have read hundreds of posts across the web and am not sure what the problem could be with my phone. I am in India and since the phone was bought off the net, its unlikely that it will be provided warranty etc here. In fact I'm not even sure if there will be servicing competency in the technicians here.
I have tried to puch the micro USB tongue by pushing it upwards gently, but cannot really say whether or not it did bend or i was just too fearful. Have tried removing battery etc and all other soft methods written everywhere.
Any help ???

Hello,
I do suspect it myself, but I don't know how to verify this. Can any other Samsung phone battery be put in the phone or is the phone compatible only with this one? Getting another battery is not possible in the near future since this is not available in India...
Any thoughts on how to check this?

I have the same problem, but it's not the battery's fault. My brother also has a GNex, and I tried charging my phone with his battery, and vice-versa, without any luck. I think it's the USB port's fault. Something about power not getting to the phone correctly. Luckily I bought it at a store here. I talked to the owner, and I'm going to exchange it for a new one tomorrow.

Hello,
I found another GN and did this experiment.
1. When I plugged in my battery which was showing 53% on my phone into the other phone it showed 79%.
2. When I charged the other GN with my battery inside, it charged to 100%
3. When I put my battery back into my phone, it showed 67%
4. When I put in the other GN battery into my phone it showed 49%, while it was showing 82% in the other GN.
5. I was able to charge this other battery in my phone to 60%.
6. When I put it back into the other GN it showed 94% charge.
Apparently my battery seems to be ok. Also, it seems that my phone is charging ok too. But there may be a problem with the phone detecting the battery level !!
Any thoughts?

[Q] Phone shuts down when using camera.

Hi
My phone has recently developed a fault. As mentioned above when I use the camera the phone shuts down as soon as I take a photo. If i do the same with the charging cable connected the camera works ok.
This happens even with the battery at a high level of charge. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how was it solved.
I should mention the phone is stock 4.4.4 htc sense 6.0 Software No 3.33.61.9. Api level 6.25
Thanks

I thought I would carry out a test to see if it is a battery problem so I fully charged the phone to 100% then just left it all day. Switched on and the screen saver on.
So 10am fully charged. 7:55 pm checked phone and it had shut down and would not turn back on. When I plugged in a charger the screen lit up with the charging battery symbol and showing 23%.
Imthink a phone should last more than 12 hours when not in use. Or am I wrong.

go into settings / apps / Camera and clear the data / cache
I had this problem with the OneX I tried what @CiSa suggested it worked for one picture then it did the same as you described I had to take it back to my network provider I bought it from. Hope clearing the data cache works for you of it dosnt you will have to send it back to where you got it from
I think this may be a general battery problem and not just related to the battery.
The phone is now just shutting down when the battery gets below 45%
I'm not sure if I have caused this because I put the phone on charge every night regardless of charge level and leave it on charge all night. .

That's how I charge my phone, every afternoon when i get home from work and again overnight when i go to bed ... never had a battery issue
Have you tried a hardware battery recalibration?
The battery calibration starts with the phone completely off. The steps are as follows: Charge the device for at least 10 minutes using the original charging cable in a wall outlet. With the device powered off while still plugged into the wall outlet, press and hold the volume up, volume down and power button for two full minutes. Use three fingers to hold these buttons and do not let go at any time. They will be held in at the same time for this to work. After two minutes, you can let go. At this point, the device should boot up and battery/charging logic will be re-calibrated.

I have also charged my phone to 100%, then booted to recovery and charged it to 100%, the shut the phone down completely and let it charge ti ll the green light comes on 100%. you'll be surprised how the 3 different modes read the battery differently
Also the only time I had the camera shut down the phone I just cleared the DATA it fixed it
Thanks for all your suggestions. I tried the hardware battery recalibration but the phone just kept switching on.
Anyway whilst trying to do this I noticed the screen has lifted about millimetre at the bottom right hand corner. Wild this cause the battery to discharge.
I am having the same issue with my HTC One m8 eye the phone just shutdown with I take a picture in lie light with the flash I tried restoring the phone but only works for a short time so old help
