Hi All,
I'm a little new to Android (being a long suffering WinMo users) and love the OS except for one little issue (which I can't find reference for any where!), the issue is:
When I receive meeting requests into my mailbox (via activesync) there's no way of previewing them in my calendar! With the latest versions of WinMo any new meeting requests in my inbox would also exist in my calendar so I could easily see if I can accept or decline the meeting. With my desire, it seems I have to accept, look in my calendar then send a decline if it's not right!
Please, any help would be most appreciated, am I missing something (configuration of app that will help!?)
Also, on the subject of calendar, does anyone know of a way to enter or view appointment timezones?
Unfortunately I'm a big traveler so I arranging/receiving meetings in other timezones is very common!
Cheers
Matt
PS. Can a mod move this to General... I've posted to dev by mistake!!!

Hello guys.
Fistly i like to say that this is one of the most organized sites i visited, having amazingly a lot of information.
I have a question, maybe sound stupid to some of you.
I just got my Artemis and after i synchronized it with my Outlook in order to get all the calendar entries i had there (from my previous NOKIA N70) i noticed something very strange to me.
When you enter the calendar and you see in in a Monthly View even if you have an entry in a date it doesnt show it. Apparently as soon as you enter the date, then it shows you the entry you had.
Anyone knows how it can be made as soon as calendar is accessed to show on the actual Monthly view the entries on the dates?
Thanks in advance for your helpful advices.
Very much appreciated.
How a topic, exist one program for HTC that can custumized your contacts? I mean in my N95 i can choose one contact in my phonebook then select the sound that i want for this person and or if i want that when this person contact me the phone going to mute or silent.
I use agenda one which is excellant as it allows me to link appointments to people. It does allow specific ringtones for individual contacts, i think that outlook does as standard. As for answer mode I don,t think it can. One thing I would like would be to customise the contact info list so that you do not have to see telex numbers work address etc. I have asked several times but it seems to be a fault with the underlying outlook.
photo contacts pro 5.1 Enjoy~

Hey guys,
A few days ago an idea came to my mind and I emailed it to Brandon Watson from Microsoft. I found his email on a blog post about hacking wp7.
I studied abroard so I use fb to talk to friends I had there. It is really nice because before I use facebook I would just lose contact. The language sqitch button is genius makes it easy to switch between the languages we mix together.
Now not everything is ment to publish on each others walls and idk how hackable the operating system is yet. But it would be very nice to send somebody a personal messagefrom the contactlist. I also suggested in the email. I could be integrated in the now plain message hub with a pivot to facebook messages. Since the operating system is very well thought out to get the job done as quickly as possible. Besides fb messages, first you get an email. Its facebook you open it, want to respond so close open fb app click post, click the new message, respond. Really slow, it would be nice to just see the messages and be able to respond directly.
The fb integration was named like a pretty big feature and for the foto,s it is but other than that not very usefull yet.
I dont know how difficult it is to add a link to the contactlist. Which links to a self build mesaaging app with all the facebook messages stored. ( I can build the app, my device is legally unlocked) but idk if its possible to add a link to that page.
Anyway is there anybody else who thought about this?
i was a blackberry user for >8years, and knew that polished turd inside and out.
i made the leap to Android when the GN came out with ICS. while i am more than pleased with the device, it is definitely not geared toward a power corporate environment.
specifically: i can not view event / calendar invites in gmail on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus when sent from an outlook account.
When someone sends me a meeting request, I get the notice in my mailbox, but none of the meeting details are displayed (like date, time, location). All I see is who sent the request and whatever they typed in the body.
I do NOT have an option to accept/decline the request. i can only go search my calendar for it (assuming i have enough info to use for the search), and it shows up in the right spot. But that is a royal PITA
i can not view .ics or .ical invite information in the body of the email. i have narrowed it down to only outlook.
any suggestions / options / tips for someone striving to love android??
Now I'm on 4.0.2 stock. But the same problem was with my new device with 4.0.1.
When I'm getting a new meeting request, I don't see it when I press Calendar in the meeting request. I don't even see in the message a date/time when the meeting will take place.
Here's a meeting request:
As you see - no date/time details. But the meeting should take place at 16:00 (I checked that in the MS Outlook).
When I press Calendar, I don't see a meeting reservation there as well:
In other words: I have no chance to know when is the meeting without accepting it. If I accept - when the meeting appears in the calendar. But I can't accept it before knowing when it will take place.
Could anybody confirm they have the same issue? Thanks!!
I use the touchdown app from nitrodesk - amazing - albeit a bit expensive - but worth every penny ! (not affiliated)
Program is great and they give you a bunch of widgets - they also do a tablet version too - which works for me.
They have a free trail - give it a go.
Stephen
Thanks for advice. But I expect stock app to work correctly.
Is there a place where I could report bugs?
Is somebody from google or android dev team reacting to bug reports?
This looks like a clear bug to me. Post it in googles issue/bug tracker site.
I registered an issue here:

Somehow I don't think somebody will read it
