i know this is the wrong area of the forums to post this, but this is where every one is hangin this days,, so i was wondering if any one has the activation code for the deep fish browser from mocrosoft???? i got the cab from some where else, i got to the live labs site to late< and the beta had allready been closed,,, ps i have the cab if any one wants it but it needs a activation code thus my delema,, thanks for any help

Dont follow the directions you find with google (using the promo code DFPRESS) just sign up for MS beta's with your live account and then put those same details into the deepfish download section. I got a code first time and second time(2 pda's). No i wont give one to you. I dont know what all the fuss is anyway. Its not that good.

Yeah, I just signed up again today and got an activation code about an hour ago. So, I'm sure they're giving them out pretty liberally. But I'm with you, I'm not a huge fan of it (so far). It is somewhat difficult and clumsy to use. But hey, it is in it's earliest beta stages, so I'm sure it'll better later on.

Thank you, I have been dealing with palm and pocket pc for a long, long time. My first PDA was a Pilot 1000. I have been lurking in this forum for a long time. I have learned a lot in my years from this forum and others. I am a beta tester for a few well known software’s. So please don't let my post count make a fool out of you.

Sadly that promo hasn't worked for me on any of the 5 accounts I registered for most of which were done yesterday afternoon when that was posted.
Thanks though for the assist and I'll have to sit tight for a bit until they release further codes to test with.
(This and WM6 BE 2.0 are the only reasons I may keep my 8525 and not go to the BlackBerry world...)

I tried skybook and mobilizer. neither worked very well. the basics were there but they both have a long way to go. the skybook app always failed to close properly and mobilizer never seemed to open properly.
This is not really an app, but some have suggested using the facebook page for iphone. I believe it is something like iphone.facebook.com or so.
EDIT: Na, I take it back. This certainly won't help you. I just tested the iphone facebook and did not like it. It seems that it uses resolutions for the iphone and everything looks big and blurry on the HD. Besides, that was no really what you were looking for anyway.

If you are going to use Facebook on a PDA, just use "m.facebook.com"... It is a web page obviously, but is formatted better for smaller screens...

Currently doesnt support WVGA - Keep checking though, its in the plans to be added.

when on wm, i was told only vpns established on vpss based on windows server can be connected, so i hope i can connect my vpn on android. i've tried on milestone& HD 2 and succeeded. however, it still failed on android for Raphael till now. is it due to the kernel Raphael use?

but VPN is available on Android for HD2, as you may know, in china, twitter,facebook,youtube and many other sites are blocked,can you imagine an internet without them? so we have to use VPN to login these sites...

Move to a country that doesn't persecute the people for wanting to access information?
The HD2 is not only a more feature-complete port (they have camera, bt, etc working) but the phone is MUCH more powerful. Not really a fair comparison.
If you want a VPN that badly, figure out how the HD2 guys got it working and port it to our lowly MSM devices. I'm sure other Chinese nationals will appreciate your efforts!

don't worry so much, as is confirmed, china will launch the white-list system at this end of the year, only the sites they need us to visit will be available. everyone should be registered in the government if they want internet access. at that time, we cannot even visit xda. so the general vpn won't work anymore

Next Browser is based on the IE9 core, but it is meant to be a different experience from Internet Explorer. It is fast and can support up to 10 tabs, and has features like pin to start, and is gesture-based to make browsing simple and clean. You can easily switch tabs by swiping left or right, which makes it easier than in IE. There are bookmarks and history, as well as switching default search provider and even changing the look of the tile.

It's not even working for me yet. Sorry about that, but there's nothing I can do. I've always had a delay when I added a new beta, but not usually this long. I will post when I can download it though.

I'm actually really close to finishing Next Browser. The current beta is pretty much useless as I've done so many changes that I don't really trust feedback anymore, because I've been using the newer version that doesn't have most of the bugs the beta has. I'm considering a beta 2. Post if you want to vote.
i thing the bigest problem with browsers on windows phone is that no browser can be set as default...
btw i like NextBrowser i think its better than IE.

Yeah, because enterprises are really waiting for unsupported 3rd party Stores .
They won't even use the official store
That's too true, I don't know why they'd only put it enterprise. But if its in enterprise expect it to be quickly avaible in atleast the pro version. You know how devs are, everything for free lol, I love it.
