Hi all,
Is there any way to spilt the media sound level? I am using co pilot and the HTC music player, the issue is the music can drown out the directions. Any work aroundsfor this please? This is the first big draw back I have found since leaving wm 6. 5 :-(
Cheers

Use google directions and the music, it stops the music when the directions are read out.
Not a real answer i now, more for other people who are curious about this.
The htc doesn't stop the music sadly it just mutes it if using google maps, which is a pain if listening to a podcast.
If you keep on using copilot then get "audiomanager", you can set up profiles do the sat nav is louder than the music. Works a treat especially if you buy it and can have shortcuts on your screen.
Thanks for the replies seems there is no current work around. :'( hopefully 2. 2 will fix this

I test my Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Vi on a friends EVO before I bought mine and they worked like a champ. They also worked fine on my EVO until around the time of the last OTA update. Now they won't control my music player Mixzing anymore and also won't answer calls. I'm fairly certain they aren't broken so curious if anyone has had a similar experience?
Thanks!
I have the same headphones. How do you control the music?

One click to pause, a second click to begin playing again. 2 fast clicks to skip a song. When the phone rings clicking the button will answer.
You have to use an app that supports the controls like Mixzing. There is a setting to enable headset controls.
FWIW, I did a hard reset and the controls began working. Not sure where / how it got tweaked but that was it. Working now.
Thanks alot.

I've got a strange problem with my new Desire running Froyo. If I have the MP3 player running at the same time as Google Navigation every time a direction is spoken the music pauses and never restarts... its very annoying and not something I've experienced on other Android devices.
Is this a bug (feature?) of Froyo or just something specific to the HTC music player... any ideas?

Same happened to me when I upgraded to Froyo, although it only happens with the HTC player. I use DoubleTwist and this resumes as it should after instructions from Google Navigation.
Ah, I see... I guess that means its a HTC bug then...
Will try Doubletwist, thanks...

Well I have Froyo as well. But I use Copilot for navigation and it always restarts the mp3 music again. So must be a Google thing and not t Froyo bug.

Hi
I'm using Froyo and have the same issue with both Google Navigation and CoPilot. It's very frustrating so will give Double Twist a whirl.
Thanks
I get the same issue with stock player & Google Navigation.
In addition, the music does not resume for me after using Voice Search, or inputting voice into Google Translate.
Copilot
I use stock media player and Copilot, the problem I have is that using the 3.5 jack into the car stereo, the volume of copilot is far to low. But if the music is not playing, then the volume of copilot increases but is still very quiet. The only way to get the volume levels the same is to unplug the 3.5 mm jack and listen through the desires speaker. Sound quality not great. This used to work perfectly through the 3.5 jack and car stereo on version .606 of copilot with music playing at the same time and not being interrupted :-(
Update:
Thanks for the Advice. All working fine with DoubleTwist so I'd guess it's the stock Music app that's the guilty party.
Cheers
Hello guys,
As we know, since JB was lauched, the headset button is kinda useless when we're listening to music. When we long-press the button, google now activates and music stops. It's really annoying, because we have to take the phone out from the pocket to just go to next song. It's not good to have to expose our expensive phone for a so simple task.
I know there's a solution for this problem on HOX+, but I didn't find anything for us.
Any help?
Try headset button controller in play store. It has orange headphone icon. The dev has a workaround so 1click. Play 2click. Skip etc.

Hello all,
My (stock) HTC One X has the following very annoying bug: All music apps randomly pause audio (at any time, screen on/off).
I've tried with Winamp, the stock music app, the plain google music app and Deezer. It happens least frequently with Deezer and most frequently with the stock music app. (Drawback with Deezer is that it doesn't allow you to play music stored on the phone).
Does anyone have a fix for issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I'm posting a new thread since the existing topics about audio playback seem to centre around distortion or ticking sounds. I don't have any of that, perfect audio until it is randomly paused. Moreover, once it is paused it can't be "unpaused" from the lock-screen for some reason (so this becomes more annoying when driving/jogging/walking).
Rooting and installing a custom rom could be a solution, i just wanted to explore other options first.
Thanks for any help!
Does your headset have button(s)? Maybe you press them without noticing.

You are not alone, I've been having this problem as well. I've tried, winamp, stock, google play and it happens with them all. I just have plain headphone's plugged in.
I can only assume it's another app that conflicting somehow.
I have however enabled the player on my lock screen, so I can re-start from there, but agree it's painful when hands free is required.
Lately I've been doing a few road trips where I'll be listening to music, audiobooks and podcasts on my device. However I'm having an issue.... Well more of an inconvenience I guess..
The media will be playing and when navigation tells me directions, it lowers the volume of the media instead of pausing it causing me to miss some things.
Is there a tweak that can be done to change that?
