This is starting to really bother me, the side button snooze function only seems to work intermittently for me. More often than not it doesnt work. If I set my alarm for say a minute from now then the side button snooze works fine but if I try to use the side button snooze in the morning after the phone has been idle all night then it never works. Maybe its something to do with the phone being locked but you can't unlock it because that function turns the alarm off? Is there any apps to change one of the other tactile buttons on the phone to snooze?
same here, just had it a few minutes ago ...
a solution would be really appreciated
Yep,Ii have the same problem. It's definitely because of locking, I tried with locked and unlocked phone (alarm in t+1min) and it worked when it wasn't locked. This really bothers me, because this feature worked on hero.

Hey i have a quite a bad problem. My phone appears to be unlocking its self very easy and ringing people in my pocket, today it rang 8 people in the space of an hour. Ive got pocketshield but this stops it picking up calls, not ringing them. Im unsure what to do. I dont even know how its happening, im thinking the top button must keep getting pushed in my pocket or something.
Any ideas/apps to lock phone after wakeup? I dont want to put the pin on it because it may end up locking my phone instead! plus its a bind having to enter a pin every few minutes. Something like pocket shields scroll down the screen etc would be good. But i see no option to enable it for when waking up.
Thanks.
I've had no such issues since using S2U2. Give it a try!
Or LockMeLite - much lighter than S2U2 and doing just what you want - locking the screen and hardware buttons when power button is pressed and unlocking the screen on incoming call so you don't have to unlock to answer and still keeping the buttons disabled so you can take it out of the pouch without accidentaly answering/ignoring the call.
Me too.. LockMeLite has been definitive for me. No more "lost" calls by hardware.
Fk
My solution was to stick a crystal case on it,it recess's the power button so its not pushed by accident.
if u press and hold the phone icon bottom right it locks the screen , to unlock pull out the stylus.
the problem is its not to do with calls or texts, i have pocketshield for that. Its to do with the powerbutton keep getting knocked. At least i think it is.
holdign down the phone key to lock the screen sounds like a gd idea ill look into that.
And yeah getting a protective case might solve it too. Ill cehck that out too thanks, though i do kinda like the sleak design. I gues its gona get ruined proably lol.
:EDIT:
Simply locking the screen before turning it off works a charm! thanks. Now im just wondering, is there an app that will just auto lock it when i turn screeen off ? Just makes it all that easyer so i dont forget and call people again!
I had the same problem before using a belt case. I tried s2u2, but it's lagging. Now I'm satisfied with Pocketshield. Just work in its setting and you can have it work well.

Again - LockMeLight. It locks the screen automatically when the phone goes to sleep and you have to slide the screen down when waking it to unlock it. On top of that it disables the hardware buttons when locked, so no accidental calls are made when you unwillingly wake the device even with the screen locked.
original case
i use original htc case for hd.
Folks can anyone tell me if there is an alternative way to wake up your phone besides pushing the power button, i know there are alot of threads about it but havent been able to find the answer?
Any help would be appreciated
Rockey
You could try screaming at it or violently shaking it, or perhaps banging a loud drum in close proximity to it. No guarantees that those methods would work but they would sure wake me up in a jiff.
Not as far as I know.
Myn's rom has a way you can put a sleep button in the notification bar. Edit: I just contradicted the question, idk of another way to wake it up. -_-
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
widgetlocker allows you to wake the phone with the volume keys
Plug it into a power source...this brings up the unlock screen.
Simple answer is......................... No
Slap it's ass and then throw water on it. Works on my ex. LOL
Send yourself a text message, plug it into USB.
Try this
Proximity Screen Off
It uses the proximity sensor to turn your phone on and off without touching the phone. It takes a bit of work to set it up but it does what you want.

If you turn off auto screen lock then you can wake up the phone with the volume buttons. There are several apps that turn ASL off. I only use screen lock when I go out and have my phone in its case. At home and more so when I'm tinkering around with the phone the screen lock can be a pain. Can I say screen lock more times or what? lol
download No Lock from the Market. Disable the lock screen, then you can use the power button, or the volume buttons to wake the phone
This is a 4 month old, unlocked, bought directly from HTC, 10 that was working like a charm until two weeks ago when I would hit the power button to wake the screen and a notification sound would blare from the speakers. It does it every time now. It also does it when I wake with fingerprint scanner. I just upgraded tonight to Nougat and I still have the problem. I've checked all settings at least 15 times and there is nothing checked that shouldn't be, such as 'screen lock sounds' 'tap sounds' etc. Nothing. If I hit the power button in the theater, I'm sure I'll have 300 pairs of eyes glaring at me.
Running Android 7.0 / 2.38.617.6
Anyone encounter this situation or have any ideas? I've soft rebooted several times, no luck.
Thanks in advance.Nor
I've got a new (to me) AT&T Note 4 and only after getting it did I realize I couldn't root it because.....AT&T.... Anyways, it's on MM 6.0.1 now and I'm having a massively irritating issue that I can't find anywhere else online for reference. After roughly 15-30 minutes after I restart the phone, 3 things happen simultaneously.
1: Screen rotation stops working (except when I get a notification for textra from the pulldown menu and reply, then in that reply state, I can turn the phone and it will successfully rotate). I've checked the sensors and they're fine and working properly. I can use the rotate app to force rotation successfully and it doesn't matter if I have the rotation icon on or off, it will not auto rotate which makes nav apps a pain in the butt to have to keep restarting the phone for only a few minutes of working.
2: Home button stops working to go home. The physical button still works if I long press then google app comes up, but short press does nothing.
3: Menu button stops working completely, no response at all short or long press.
If anyone has a reference to point me towards or an idea of what's happening, I would love to figure this out so I don't want to throw my phone out the window after only a week. Thank you!

i have the same problem, have you found anything?????
I have activated this setting several times by mistake and it was very frustrating to turn it off and until you do, the phone has a mind of it's own. It activates if you hold down the both volume buttons. There is a setting in accessibility to turn off this shortcut. Highly suggest you turn it off.
Lol yeh it's frustrating to turn it off
My pop turned that on by accident on his Moto and it was ridiculous to get him to turn it off. Didn't realize it was the volume buttons shortcut but I looked it up after. That option is off now.
Thanks! Done. Although I hadn't accidentally come across that yet but I'm sure I would eventually.
Off good tip!
I was SO frustrated at tis one day that I wanted to throw my phone
