My Desire has a HTC "Work" Scene template. This scene has a Wifi and Bluetooth Widget. They simply turn it on or off. But I cannot find either of these in "Add to Home". The widgets are there!
Where are they?

Ok I after you posted this I tried finding it with no success. The only thing I can come up with is it is packaged in with another apk presumably one of the Google ones.
If you find it I would like to know as well for future reference

Try This
Widget Search = google or HTC google search widgets
Widget Power Control = power control widget
Widget Settings = 4g, Airplane Mode, Bluetooth, GPS, Hotspot, Mobile Networks and Wi-Fi.

UM are you talking about, to put them on the home screen? I am talking about, with in the ROM so I can mod them.
for search, possible in GoogleSearch.apk or htcsearchwidget.apk.
For power widget, i think that may be in /system/framework/framework-res.apk
Also check the /system/framework/com.htc.resources.apk
Thanks for the tip
I have a n00b-like question, and I am ashamed.
In apps, for many of the current roms, there is a "Power Control Widgets Config" app.
WTF does it do?
I would have thought that it would change settings in the "Power Control" android widget, but it does Nothing for me...
Or perhaps in the notifications dropdown settings? Nope, not there either.
I've never seen it do a damn thing.
What critical piece of obvious information am I missing?
Flame away.

I think it may actually be a widget. I haven't seen it in a rom, but it could be. Try long pressing it on a home screeen and see if anything happens.

That app works for me. It is to configure certain settings in the notification toggle Widgets. I use it to set the sound to do silent/vibrate/sound. I also set the flashlight to normal with that, and also the brightness settings.

Ah! Indeed sir, you are correct.
Since my dropdown does not have the brightness toggle, I did not make the connection. But since I was able to change the toggle color, I can see that this does indeed config that feature.
Is this a scenario where I have to be editing some .txt file to change the toggles?

Yes, exactly. If you wanted to use the brightness toggle, or any toggle, you'd need to edit the widget.txt file (if you're on sense). If you add the brightness.toggle, and the flashlight toggle, then the app will configure how those toggles act for you.

Switchpro widget, there's a toggle option for it. You'll just click on it to toggle on/off. If its on, screen will not turn off.

hey guys,is the such a mod as a power widget similar to the one already in the gingerbread widgets. i want one to go on my home menu so i can turn on/off data etc.
i no there is widgetzoid and there are small buttons in the settings menu, but is there a mod/add on like the stock one. there are aosp ones,is there sense ones?
Not much help but...
If i understand you correct there is a HTC widget called Mobile Network for this.
Add widget from home screen > Settings > Mobile Network.
No idea if this can be obtained as an individual widget for use across non-HTC devices.
I know I haven't been much help. LOL
Theres a flashable mod to get notification power widgets on sense 2.2 but not seen one for 2.3

yeah no ive seen this one i wanted a all in one.
well if you not seen it dan it aint been done!!
I dont really look at sense much to be honest as I dont use it. It could easiliy have escaped me.
i did contemplate ur rom today dan but i think id miss sense to much, although at times i dnt no why!
It'll always be there for you in the future.
Another widget i decided to share with you peoples
I noticed by default there is a "Assistive light" widget for us to put on the home screen. It toggles the flashlight on or off. Well its really dim so i wrote my own widget to do the same thing. This one however gets put on the lockscreen so just swipe over and tap and boom you got a light
May add options for light levels.
Should work on all GS4 variants, only tested on T-Mobile variant.
TO INSTALL:
Simply install the apk, then in your app drawer look for "Flashlight options" and click it to set up your options. (The icon is a flashlight btw xD)
UPDATE 10.28.13:
- Added levels adjustment
- Remove widget and re-add to update after installing new APK
Then create your widget on your lockscreen and profit
Works perfectly thus far and exactly what my phone has been missing. THANK YOU!!

Same for me! Prolly gonna add the brightness buttons to it soon too.
What do you guys think? Three buttons, one for dim, half, and full brightness? Or a positive and negative button to adjust brightness in one by one increments? I think the three buttons would be quicker to adjust the brightness.

In infamous alpha ROM I just have to long press home button while on lockscreen to turn torch on and off. Any way that I can use your app instead as your is brighter.
Thanks

Just install it as a regular app, then under your lockscreen, add the flashlight widget.

Lock your phone by pressing power button, then swipe to your left and you should see the (plus) symbol to add lock screen Widgets.

Any way this can be added to the lock screen where I don't need to swipe to get to the widget? Ideally, I'd hit the Home or Power button to turn on the phone, then either use your flashlight widget, or swipe to go to the home screen. I'm a beginner on playing with the lock screen, but a flashlight like yours (excellent job on the 3 settings!) is really the only thing I'd like to access that quickly.
Any way to use this as a home screen app? Ever since I've been on Android, I've missed the 3-level flashlight I had on WinMo 6.5 on my old HD2.
Great effort on this, thanks!

You can tap and hold my widget on your lockscreen and drag it to the RIGHT most "page" on the lockscreen and it will be the first thing you see when you turn on your screen.
Meaning, tap and hold my widget on your lockscreen, and move your finger to the right of your screen until you see the gray squares stop moving.
Thanks, elesbb! Got it working. Now if I could only get the big clock I normally see to show along with your light, it would be perfect, although it seems only one widget per screen is allowed? Again, I'm a noob about lockscreens.
You really make some cool additions to the phone.

Yes, only one widget per screen, currently working on an app that will hold a widget within a widget (not looking to promising) so i may have to edit the actual smali files itself to add say two widgets per screen. (thats something i REALLY want) so once we finally get a sammobile tar of 4.3, i will be working on mods for my ROM and that is one that i widh to add.
