Download WM2005 FOR Imate PD2K PPC

Wher can we find the final edition of Windows Mobile 2005 for Imate PD2k Pocket PC? :!:

WM2005 won't work on Blue Angel ( Imate Pda2k,Qtek 9090 etc) don't try to upgrade it...

There is no Windows Mobile 5.0 available for the Blue Angel device at this point. Stop asking.
If/when someone comes across a version, then MAYBE you can get it. Until then, seriously, forget about Windows Mobile 5.

How to run software for PDAs on Smartphones

Hi everyone,
I have just recently switched from Qtek 9100(identical to I-mate K-JAM, 02 mini S and MDA Vario) to Qtek 8310 (identical to I-mate SP5 and O2 Orion). None of the programs I used to work with can install on my new phone. I have heard that maybe you have to emulate touchscreen in order for them to work.
Can somebody help with thi problem?

Smartphone OS lacks lots of functions/features that are present on a PocketPC. Not only the touchscreen is missing, search microsoft.com for the complete list of differences. Generally it is impossible to force any complex PocketPC app to work on smartphone. But the reverse process is not difficult - most of smartphone apps can be patched to run on a PocketPC.

recall something about wm2005 being able to run smartphone applications
not sure if wm2005 for smartP's can also do pda applications
there is also the issue of smartphones being much less powerfull then pda's to think about

Maybe there is an option, or.... ?
Thanks guys, as for the hardware specs of the phone they are the same as my previous PDA - CPU is TI OMAP 200Mhz, 64ROM, 128 RAM, I have also inserted 1GB mini SD card and the OS is Windows Mobile 5.0.
If anyone can help with this I am still hoping to find a solution

SPV M2000 OS Problems

I have recently bought a copy of the mobile 5 sortware and installed it on my SPV M2000 but its not working properly the camera doesnt work and it keeps crashing can someone help out and either tell me where I can get the old OS from or how I can fix this one.

first of all you got ripped off big time
the windows mobile 2005 that ppl can use for their himalaya devices is not the final version its a beta os which got leaked
and 2th it's free for everybody you just payed somebody for air
go here for a later version which will most likely include the cam software

Sky Mobile TV won't recognise Vario 2 - any experience?

I've been trying to sign up for Sky Mobile TV through t-mob for my Vario 2 but when I get to the sign up page it says that my phone is not compatible. And as we know, the Vario 2 is a super phone so what is going wrong? Does anyone else on T Mob or with a Vario 2 have any words of wisdom to share or even better, got it working?

It only works if you have an official T-Mobile rom on the phone.

If this is the case then in theory you probably need to use Schaps Adv config to get the IE User agent string from the working T-Mobile rom, then apply to yours - thats assuming the t-mobile rom doesnt also contain codecs etc for Sky mobile tv function.
First step would be to get hold of a t-mobile rom, flash and test....

I noticed a minor niggle whilst trying to view Mobile TV on T-Mobile UK.
According to There tech teams the device was sending the incorrect User Agent string.
I found by using a Vario II with its original shiped ROM had the following settings that differed in the BlackX Registry
Black X Registry
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform]
"PPC"=""
MDA Vario II Registry
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform]
"PPC; MDA Vario/2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1"=""
Once i ammended the setting using Schap's Advanced configeration tool Version 0.9b
Hope this is of use to others.

I works on my Vario II with the T-Mobile WM6 upgrade, but it does not work on my Tytn II with T-Mobile internet settings. T-Mobile tech support say it must be a T-Mobile rom for it to work.

I am using t-mobile wm6 at the moment, but previously I have used mainly the black roms. All I had to so was email t-mobile and they emailed me the link for sky tv.. sorry I did not keep the email, but you can watch it on other roms.... you just can't access it through web n walk on your browser

You can get the link by going to www.sky.com/mobiletv but when you run it on the phone if it is not a t-mobile rom it says the phone is not supported.

Desay m9 Help

Hi Guys this is my first post so please be nice .
Anyways i have a desay m9(from china) with wm5 (smart phone) os5.1.478 (build 15706.3.5.2) I thought it was a Normal windows mobile 5. My phone has touch screen and an xscale pxa270 312mhz processor.
I was wondering if there is ANY way of upgrading to a real wm5 os thats not a smart phone edition?? or even better upgrading to wm6?? Or is there any way to emulate a real wm5 or6?? I dont like wm5 smartphone edition. Its too limitted and i cant install verytghing thats wm5 supported. I have very lil knowledge of wm. If there is anything that can help it would be great. You see i cant send any messages because the abc on my phone is in chinese and not handy at all. I know the real wm5 has atleast a virtual keyboard. Can any please help me or guide me to alternative solution>>?? eg: Some kind of writing software that works with sms's or some kind of wm6 emulator that i can launch on my phone? Or some kind of way to hack it?? Please anythin.

No, you cant upgrade your smartphone to windows mobile 5.0 pocket pc edition, or to windows mobile 6.0.
But you can install windows mobile pocket pc application on windows mobile smartphone edition.

You know your device is strange, so nobody can help you.
If you insist to use WM instead of SP, go port the ROM yourself (and figure out how to flash the image yourself).
