how do you install this live wallpaper if i dont get it from market?
MOD EDIT WAREZ LINK REMOVED
If you REALLY want sperms swimming around your wallpaper, remove the .zip extension, so it's .apk, copy it to your sdcard and install it
This is warez by the way.

How do i take certain things out of a theme like wallpapers/sounds?
In specific cyanogen and hero roms.
For future reference, try using the search function in the top right corner...
in answer to your question, its pretty simple, you just download the theme or Rom update you want and unzip it to a folder somewhere. But that just gets the images/xmls out of the zip. you can edit them to your choosing, but to be able to use them you need to be able to sign updates, i suggest you search this forum for "Signing", and get yourself set up to sign updates and .apks. then if you want to extract things from apks, you just add .zip to the end and then extract it, like HTCMusic.apk you would rename to HTCMusic.apk.zip, and then unzip that and it will give you everything inside the apk. then you have to sign every individual .apk before you put it back.
I also suggest you search this forum for "Draw9patch", and you should google "Android SDK" and download and setup the android sdk AND eclipse (you will need that to recompile ".9.pngs" before repackaging them). All this is well documented, but you gotta search like everybody else, its alot more than one post worth of reading...just start diggin around inside a theme and learn how they work and how they break down, and then go study what you need to do to put it back together and make it work right..

(ie copying zip to update.zip and applying didnt work for me).. i had to unzip the zip file. and manually copy the .so libto system/lib. also installing the wallpapers did install but wouldnt run... instead of installing i had to manually copy the .apk to data/app

Cool. Used your method and all is working fine.
As for the wallpapers themselves, they are not bad
Thanks for these; I was more interested in the static wallpaper links there though, so thanks for that again!
Guys i have lost the option to select live wallpaper. I had deleted it in error thinking i was deleting the live wallpapers that came with the phone-not the actual program that allows you to use live wallpapers. So i have been reading on the forum where i saw that i should reinstall the live wallpaper apk and the live wallpaper picker apk which i have done but its not still not appearing as an option when i go wallpapers.
Someone said this: "okay fixed it. found a dump of all of the original vibrant app/files and copied over the live wallpapers and livewallpaperpicker apk and odex files into the /system/app folder and it works again!!"
I copied the apks to the system/app folder and it still doesn't work. I don't know what odex files are. Can someone help ?
maybe you need to reboot or at least restart home apk? Hope it helps
Sent from my Xperia PLAY R800i using XDA App
i have face that problem . i have done same procedure which you have mentioned . i just copy that apk in sys/app but i have not put odex file...
and then i have rebooted my device
well Ive been trying to make my google search widget transparent the last few days and couldn't find any other method then to use metamorph. but I figured out how to do it using ninjamorph instead, using whichever launcher I please.this also worked with my tether widget so im asuming this will work on most widgets. heres how I did it.I started by making a .png file with gimp, but ill skip this step and just share the file I made.(I can post how I did that later if requested)
1. Download the attached file(cant see it there becuase its transparent) and put it on your sdcard
2.open ninjamorph on your phone and select new project. then select system, then app and navigate to the com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox-1.apk file and select it.
3.After ninjamorph extracts the files go to res>drawable-hdpi and replace these two files:
search_floater.9.png
textfield_search_empty_default.9
replace these files with the Transparent.png file on your sd card. then go back in ninja morph till you see finish project, then yes,yes,yes.. reboot and enjoy..
5.(for other widgets) for other widgets follow step one and two, but in step three, you would need to find the right files to replace with the Transparent.png file. Then after you finish project you need to move the app you changed from data/app to system/app using root explorer, then reboot and enjoy..

Hello people of XDA.
My question is: I want to install wallpapers onto the Droid. I would like to put them in a folder so that they will show up with the rest of the stock wallpapers in the wallpaper selection screen. Is this possible?
Thanks!
Randy
You'd have to find the apk file that holds those, and then use 7zip to open the archive and add what you want in there. Way easier just to create a Wallpapers folder on your SD card to keep them there.
