Hi!
Have used the htc hd mini for a week now, and I must say I realy like it!
But with the HVGA screen I havent found any cool games that will run on it
Have tried MorphGear (snes emulator) but it won`t work. Have also tried pocket ufo, experiment 13 and many other games with the same result
Any of you know of any games that will run on this device?
Thanks!
HTC Mini rocks
Hi.
I love it too. It's brilliant - small and powerful.
I tried "Vegas Pool" from Market Place.
The other thing that i haven't figured out is how I can switch the keyboard on when needed.
For instance, when i need to enter some text in flash/flex apps, or in games.
Morphgear is working fine for me, but it does not support multitouch, so that the old jump and runs are unplayble...
Other games which should work: Tiki Towers, Iwi the Kiwi and maybe zuma.

What version of Morphgear are you using? And what settings are you using?
The version I tried did start, but the picture was way out of the screen and it didnt play in landscape.

you want this if you have TP2...
http://www.bitbanksoftware.com/private/smartgear.zip
youll want morphgear for SNES and GBA
FPSeCE for works with the TP2. It's a playstation emulator. They are supposed to have a new version out soon with full support for WVGA and with much better framerates but right now alot of games are still playable just alittle slow. Find version .096beta on the net and use it. Make sure you start the program with the keyboard already out and you won't have any problems. Select GAPI as the GFX Driver(It works the best). There website is www.fpsece.net.
I tried downloading the last updated Pocket GBA and it does not work on my TP2. Don't know if it's just plain outdated or not compatible for 6.1. Does anyone know a good working gameboy advance emulator for the TP2/WinMo 6.1?
No one has a working gba emulator?
bumpppppppp
Anyone? Bump
What version of pocketGBA did you download, keep in minde it wont play GB or GBC games.
You could try running WVGAFix to set a lower resolution.

Sorry, I do not remember the exact version #, but it was the most recent update from Sunbug.net. I realize it only plays GBA games, but the loading the rom isnt the problem, it's just the emulator itself.
bumpppppppppp
PocketGBA works on my phone, PocketGBA rel.060526. Works with out WVGA fix, or should work. Only issues I ran into was getting the screen in the right postion. Its upsidedown and there is no option to rotate it, kind of sucks becuase zelda looked like it was running smooth.
Other then that let me know if you find a fix.
I know there has to be atleast one person that has a working GBA emulator on their Touch Pro 2.
I have a trouch pro 2 with wm 6.1 like I said I have it working however the screen in landscape is wrong and there is no way to change it.
Morphgears gba works great full screen and with keyboard support with KforTp, however its slow as hell in GDI mode.
Look here this is the only emulator that seems to work ok
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=565163
As much as a hate paying for software I might buy this, even if I think it should be free. I might if the creator speeds it up more and makes it run games smooth with sound.
On a side note does any one know how to switch the screen to portrat more while in landscape mode with out sliding the screen. On my mogul it was on the bottom but now there is nothing there because of touch flo.
Any ideas?
pocket gba don't work on my i780..what i can try??
I have Morphgear running in landscape by choosing RawFrameBuffer and using East orientation. Oddly, I use KforTP to map the buttons, but after they're mapped, I don't need to use it anymore.
SNES works great, albiet no sound (enabling sound makes the games unplayably stuttery). GBA games are so slow they are painful to play.
My question is, why did all of this emulation development get dropped four or five years ago? I wish someone would start it up again -- there are a ton of GBA games I'd love to play on the TP2.
I have been desperate for a decent SNES emulator for my touch pro 2 and have found a way of playing the games on my phone since Morphgear is all but useless on our phones. Put haret on your phone and run Android http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=627997. Go to the Android market and download the free version of SNESOID and enjoy. It plays nearly full speed on our phones. I would however recommend that before running SNESOID that you close all applications running in the background in Android before attempting to run a game. I can't wait until sound is supported with the Android build for the Touch Pro 2 then we will have our cake and eat it too. Hope this helps some of you guy's that have been searching for emulators as I have.
I'm sorry, but why is morphgear useless?
(I'm sorry, but why is morphgear useless?)
Hey Scalage. Speed and the interface of Morphgear is what to me makes it useless. When I play SNES games I like to play them to play as close to full speed as possible with sound. Morphgear just don't cut it on a WVGA device unless you are running it on a phone like Omnia 2 or HTC HD 2 with much faster processors. So it didn't take me long after I installed Morphgear to uninstall it from my Touch Pro 2. If you have found success with Morphgear then I am impressed. But performance with games like Super Mario World and Mario Kart when I tried it really disappointed me.
i'm very enjoyed play gba in tytn ii! but, the pocket gba on wm 6 is so bad. lag on tytn ii (i dont know if there was a plugin for htc perofrmance. i never found and never try )
so, how was the android? is it lag on the OS it self? and anyone has installed GAMEboid, THE GAMEBOY ADVANCE emolator on android? how is it going? really nice? or better? or bad?
i saw on youtube somebody played with htc dream. so perfect!
thx
sorry my english so bad
I haven't tried GAMEBOID, but I have used Nesoid, Gensoid, and SNESoid. Seeing as it's the same developer, can't image it working any different.
The emulators work perfectly, except that you need to remap the directional buttons, otherwise you can't perform more then 1 action at a time. I use WASD personally.
Considering how bad Genesis and Snes is on Wm 6, I'd definitely switch to Android for all you classic gaming needs. Even Nes is better, cause it sounds better. PocketNester has horrible sound emulation, but Nesoid sounds perfect.

Why don't you just boot up HaRET and try it? It doesn't take long, is simple to do, and then you'd know the answer.
Hell, you could even flash an Android ROM. If you don't like it, it's not hard to go back to WM...

I have tried it running under HaRET using an off-brand class 6 MicroSD and it works great after I set the aspect ratio to "original". However, with TyTN II (Kaiser) the original aspect ratio actually looks great IMO the size is about the same as the screen.
Has any of our proud Desire owners tried some of the Console Emulators off the Market?
Specifically SNesoid, GameBoid, Gensoid, Gearoid, Nesoid, CPS2HD?
I just wondered if anyone had tested them out on the Desire and if they work ok?
Anyone fancy making some videos and sharing them?
These will be among the first Apps I download from the Market when I get my Desire.
Have tried both Nesoid and Snesoid.
They both work full speed with the mario games! Tried Super Mario 1 on nesoid, and had a bit of trouble with the pad and buttons, because I think it doesn't 'line up' correctly on the screen. Multitouch also works.
I had more luck with Snesoid and Super Mario All-stars, which worked nicely. Colours went funny at 'game selection' screen, but ingame was good, and registered button presses were accurate. I think its very playable with some getting used to.
I really want SCUMMVM to be released for Android 2.1, but its not available yet

Nice, .. have you tried other things other than super mario ?, .. btw is there a PS1 emulator for android, i know that there is one for the WM, not sure about android.
I think if there is it will be spectacular, specially with the powerful hardware the Desire has
